The manager, Viri, was extremely unprofessional and dismissive throughout this entire situation. I have been getting the runaround from this store since Friday, May 15th, and there has been absolutely no real customer service or accountability. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the manager continued placing blame on the sender while refusing the package and returning it to sender herself. The constant back and forth regarding my package has been frustrating and completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, she asked me to leave the store in front of other customers. The tiny little pack & ship store that's big on service! It's amazing what they can do with such a small space - and a lot of patience from the staff. The line can get wicked long, it's a cramped space, and customers get a bit snippy. The staff is just professional - able to handle the most difficult personalities. I don't typically go to this one. But when I do, it's fine service. I liked how even though there was a couple of people anxiously waiting, they didn't rush me with my simple order. I suspect they are stealing packages. I sent out four items in one box last Dec. and Amazon told me they only received one. But there were four in one box. I remember giving the box to the Black guy with dreadlocks. One time, he scanned my phone and then was scanning a package on the scale. I told him that was not my package -- that's the reason the machine wasn't printing my receipt. My package was the one he had placed beside it a second ago. It would help if, after they're done with a customer, they put that customer's package away so they won't get confused with the next client. Also, the white guy with the beard always keeps telling me to use the kiosk. I told him I don't have to use it. If you already told me once, why keep telling me multiple times every time I come into the store? Is it because you don't want to help me? If I want to wait in line, let me wait in line. TF And why are they nice to some people but very standoffish to others? Mainly the Black guy with dreadlocks and the white bearded guy..The other employees are good. read more

I went in with Amazon returns. The guy at the counter was extremely rude and off putting. I told him I had too may returns to use the self service return machine and didn't feel too comfortable doing it and he let me sit in silence and gave a disgusted look to me and his co-worker before just going over to his computer. Mind you, there was not a single person in the store. It was empty. Completely rude. No one should have to be forced to use self service. I dropped off at 5:02pm. Just rude and this is not the first time I've experienced them handle customers this way when it comes to Amazon returns. I won't be using this store again. This place is absolutely the BEST! I've been here several times and have ALWAYS received Stellar service. Yesterday was no different. I needed to fax some important documents to the Social Security office. The place was packed with guests however I was greeted by Tori and she made me feel as though I was the only guest there and had my fax taken care of in minutes. (I was picking up pillow shams from Anthropologie for goodness sake!) A signature is not required. Who carries a physical card these days? The customer service I received here was so memorable I am writing a review weeks later! I came in with an Amazon return and was immediately greeted by an employee holding the door for me who was kind and told me I didn't have to rush just because he was holding the door. He asked what I was there for and ended up walking me through the entire thing since it was my first time mailing in a return. Really he did it all for me. I have been a box holder at the UPS Store in North Park since I moved to San Diego in 2014, and the staff has always provided the highest level of customer service. Tori Morris demonstrates her leadership of a fabulous team. I had one incident years ago in 2015 when one of my packages was damaged during shipping and was mixed up with the trash, and she made sure that I received proper reimbursement. A year ago, one of the UPS truck drivers during the holidays was quite angry and unprofessional, and she made sure that the proper steps were taken to address the situation and followed up to ensure this driver would not behave that way again. And most recently, she showed incredible compassion and sincere support while my family was dealing with a family medical emergency. She handles every situation -- big or small -- with professionalism, kindness, and grace. And the store's team are rockstars! Allen always makes my day with his big smile, and if you need a licensed notary, then he's your guy. Omari will often helped me carry my packages to my car. Went in to ship some packages I had already prepaid. Associate Viri states you know there's tape on that table so you can build your own packages right?? No other location ever had complained about building my boxes here or at other locations, it's the way she said it very rudely , I will be contacting corporate about her third behavior. I am so grateful to Scott for being so excellent and kind when I had a very large shipment to place. Me made the long process more enjoyable by being genuinely kind, fun and helpful with all the complicated shipments. I look forward to visiting again the next time I have to place a shipment for my business. My only issue is how hot it is in the store. If it's too hot for me to just be standing inside, especially on a hot day, it's certainly too warm for the employees who have to lift boxes and help customers all day. I have been to this specific UPS Store a couple times. I had an Amazon return. I was not sure how the return process would exactly go. I knew I had to print the return label. But was hoping they could help me with it. I don't have a printer. But I didn't have the time nor the energy print it elsewhere. I don't normally return items. Especially through Amazon. But I had no choice w/this item. When I got into the store, I was waiting to be called. No line, which was great! Then an employee asked if I had an Amazon return. The employee's name was Scott. He mentioned their fees for printing-out the label. Also, the difference between how much USPS & UPS differ. Which I found to be VERY helpful! I said, yes, as I don't have a car & was planning on paying something. I was exhausted running errands all day. I had brought my own tape, as USPS does NOT have tape for customers. Scott was very kind & waived the fee for me this time! He even taped-up my box as well! People may not recognize when people are kind nor appreciate it these days.
