They are strict on charging you for packaging and taping. It does suck, but if that's what they have to do, that's what they will do. Your package needs to be packaged and sealed for them to take otherwise they will charge you $1 fee for the service. I definitely recommend you go purchase your own roll of tape because paying $1 for a strip of tape is definitely not worth it. And if there isn't a long line, you will be in and out quickly. But if there is a long line ahead of you, expect to wait a bit because sometimes there are only 1-2 people working. Parking also can be tough during lunch hours and weekends during peak times because it's located in a plaza with Safeway, CVS, bakeries, restaurant, and other shops. read more

Someone who works here is likely stealing customer packages and because of that, I won't come back here again. Wait... Did this employee really try to threaten me?! I had a few returns to make from Amazon, in which I was instructed to drop them off to any UPS store, that they would scan my bar code and take care of the rest. IMMEDIATELY as I walk to the front, you can tell this "employee" had it in his mind that he didn't want to help me. I told the worker I had a few returns to make from Amazon, it's my first time and what is needed to get started, should I take out the items or give the bar code first. I get a snarky response from him, telling me "well I need the bar code to process the return." Ignoring his tone, I proceeded to pull up the two codes I have. 1 return, scanned code, no issues. 2nd return, he tells me that it needed to be returned in original packaging and print my own label. To my confusion, I told him this was the instructions of Amazon, to drop off and I was IMMEDIATELY cut off by the incompetent worker, stating "i am not going to argue with you, you need to provide your own packaging and label, we're not taking this." I reiterated my response and confusion and was rudely told by him to review the return policy from Amazon. As I look into my Amazon App and policy, I showed the worker that it states for me to drop it off, and just like the first return, it states no packaging or label was needed. The worker immediately said, AMAZON ALWAYS DOES IT WRONG, and that he won't argue with me and will not take my item. By this point, I was beyond confused and growing frustrated with the worker himself. Not only did I receive poor service, extremely offensive communication, but as I had enough of his antics and decided to just go to another UPS rather than deal with this prick, I confirmed with him, that he processed my one return and that I'll just head elsewhere for the others since he obviously has a problem. He brushed me off and helped another customer. I had enough of this asshole and headed towards the door. I'm parked out front and was having a conversation with my wife, explaining what happened and the jerkoff comes storming out of store. HE STEPS OUTSIDE AND YELLS "what the fuck did you say about me." I was quite surprised this employee really want to go this route, on the job and everything. I simply responded to the prick, "what are you going to do about it." At this point, I was having a personal conversation outside of store with my wife, explaining what just happened. Apparently he was watching me through the windows and decided to come outside to take further. The asshole responds , "I am going to throw away your shit, that's what I'll do," And walks to the back and grabs the shoe and shows it to me. He then walks to the back of his store and disappears. Couldn't help but laugh, as he processed the return already. Doing so, this was no longer my responsibility and he cannot deny that I returned it. It's scanned and on camera. What a desperate move and response. Reminds me of a spoiled child, who constantly has his feelings hurt. Obviously he was in his feelings this afternoon. I contacted Amazon to file the claim and report the issue. They literally had no idea why that employee didn't accept my package and did the dirty work of apologizing to me on his behalf. The instructions were clear to drop off my items and scan the code. She even made the joke that the instructions were too hard for this worker, to scan and receive. None the less, my refunds were processed for all three items. Should the employee damage the shoe I left in anyway, or "thrown it away" like he said he would, that's between him and Amazon now. I will be filing an official complaint with UPS. More to follow. This location obviously is a franchise of some sort, because this isn't a location that follows protocol. Never have I ever dealt with this type of "professionalism" from a business type. Reviewing the yelp comments, you can see the stature of how the location condones their business, from terrible customer service, down to the responses I'll expect to see from negative comments. Don't expect a sorry here yelpers, expect to get either hot or cold when coming in. Good luck to you tough guy. You may want to rethink your course of actions before you run into the wrong one next time. Consider yourself lucky that your brain decided to work before a world of actions came your way. I dropped off two items at this location to be returned on 12/21. Unfortunately, after almost two weeks, only one of them was successfully returned and the other item is noted to still be "on its way". I called this location and Le was unhelpful, insinuated I was lying when I told him the UPS customer service line was not directing me anywhere. When I had asked him to speak to management, he said there wasn't anyone available. I wasn't having that crap at all, and told him I needed to speak with someone else because he wasn't being helpful and he miraculously found someone else to help me. Well, I spoke with customer service and now they're deeming my package as lost. This location is not to be trusted. I hope "management" that isn't there will re evaluate their staff. read more

It was scanned in (receipt to prove) and it mysteriously never left this location... to make it worse I shipped out an additional 2 packages that day had no problems with that. I needed color copies of a word document on a laser printer. I called ahead of time and asked if I could email it to them, have them print 20 copies for me so they'd be ready to pick up when I came in and told them I'd be there in an hour. The guy staged on the phone with me as I emailed the document, he confirmed he got it, and said he'd run 20 copies. I show up an hour later. Not only have they not even started running the copies, but then they had the audacity to charge ME for computer time! I never touched their computer! The whole point was for me to email it to them and have them do it so I didn't have to mess with emailing it to myself, then using their computer to print it. What's the point in offering "full service" if you're basically going to charge me in time and money to do it myself?! This is "My" UPS store for sure! I can say every time I walk in here, i'm gonna get taken care of. The staff is extremely helpful. When I thought this place couldn't get better, it did. Today I decided to write a review for my store because I went in there to buy a box and not only did they find the perfect sized box for me but the manager put the whole package together for me : ) All I purchased was the box and he took it upon himself to just go the extra mile and tape it up, put my item in the box and put my label on it and ship it out.... And all I bought was the box!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy since I have a million things to do today (mom of 6) and owner of 2 small businesses and starting on third, I don't have much time to be guessing what size boxes I need and peanuts and bubble wrap bla bla bla. Im a happy mama and will continue to come here for all my shipping needs. What a difference between this store and the one in Milpitas near Landess! Polar opposites! Store Is clean open and airy as opposed to cluttered and dark. In the middle of the day, there were two people working and I was waited on right away as opposed to a long line and one person working. The package was taken from my hands, scanned and I was handed a receipt without even asking. At the other store I had to ask for it to be scanned and I was refused when I asked for a receipt. When other customers came into the store he noticed and said he'd be right with them. One thing I would like to suggest is just smile and say hello to your customers. Yeah, it's a UPS store. But it's the nearest one to me, and they are always efficient. I came to this location to take my traffic school test which I of course, passed... Screw that if I failed. If you know this area well, you are familiar with the lady known as the "Berryessa Bum"... I fondly refer to her "Mista-Mista" to my BF, kind of like a code name for her. Whenever we see her somewhere I'm like, "Hey look, Mista-Mista's here..." I mean... it's much better than calling her the Berryessa Bum. Anyhow, she came into the store as I was taking my traffic school quiz and she stole some pens from the mailing dept and took off. I live right by the UPS on Toyon Ave, but after reading the horrible reviews I drove an extra 10 min to get to the next closest location which was this Berryessa one. I was greeted by the girl in glasses and brown hair (didn't catch her name) and she was super helpful and kind! I always get confused with shipping/mailing stuff for some reason ... She helped me pick out a smaller, cheaper envelope when I originally thought I needed a box and packed my items for me. Also answered all my questions! Came her to get some passport photos done. The person here was very helpful at taking all of our pictures. They also helped me do the photocopying of the documents I needed to renew my passport. I come here for everything because they DO everything! In addition to the typical shipping stuff that all UPS stores do, they also can make notarized copies, take passport photos, make keys, make engraved license plate frames, and so much more! The man who seems to own the place and the lady who works there are both extremely nice. They always seem to be teasing each other whenever I come in, too. They are definitely a funny duo! The man actually has a really good memory. He noticed I brought my friend here to make a notarized copy, and he recognized me from earlier in the week when I had come in and could even recall my birthday. I always get great service here. Even if when it's not really convenient to come here, I'll make the drive out here anyway just because the workers are so darn NICE. read more

We rolled into the UPS store, on a Friday, 10 minutes before closing...and received nothing but absolute stellar A+ service all the way. We were shipping some boxes from our house in San Jose to our other house in Seattle. We shipped light things - you know, a 6 quart Kitchen Aid mixer, a 6 quart Cuisinart, Xbox One, over 50 DVS, Playstation 4, over 100 video games and other miscellaneous stuff hubby needs for work and I needed for the kitchen. Note - the only things that were packed were the Kitchen Aid mixer and the Cuisinart. They were able to fit all of our stuff into two large boxes. To ship those it cost us a little under $200 and we didn't mind that at all. Frankly, I was expecting it to cost more. Also, we were THOSE difficult people who didn't pack the rest of our stuff up. We literally brought them in shopping bags....we paid for shipping and insurance. We also relied on them to pack up the stuff for us. Half an hour later we were on our way back to Seattle. 5 days later, our stuff arrived and I was shocked - there was all our stuff - carefully packaged, items were bubblewrapped and secured tightly. Nothing was broken - it was all perfect and beautiful. Thank you, UPS Store workers, for delivering our stuff unbroken and 100% whole. PS Yes, we came in 10 minutes before closing and the two guys working were nothing less than professional, friendly and courteous! I've been going to this UPS store for the past 5+ years. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Went in to have a document notarized with my 20 month old, busy-body daughter in tow. The guy who greeted me, noticed how busy my daughter was and offered her a toy to play with, which is an instant 5-star for me! But sure enough, my daughter got tired of that toy and was on to the next thing. While I was struggling to fill out the form and keep an eye on my daughter, the other employee that was there grabbed something to help keep my daughter occupied, it did, for a minute lol but he didn't give up, he kept trying to keep her entertained. Ridiculous. They charge you for using their computer, even if it only took you a couple of seconds. Printing 1-3 sheets in black and white means you're paying more for using their computer than the ink itself. Go somewhere else to get more bang for your buck. read more

In my first experience going to the UPS store as an adult(following your Mom in doesn't count), I have to say I left pleased. I had to return a package and ran out of tape at home. A half taped package wasn't going to make it in one piece, so I figured I'd get it taped up at the store. Turns out they normally charge for this, but the folks at the store were very accommodating. There were a few labels on the package I had on unnecessarily that they were very helpful in educating me about. All in all, it was a good time. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! Every service they offer is marked up or charged in a way to take advantage of the customer. First experience I had shipping a package within CA, I was quoted $55 for packaging and Ground speed shipping. Fedex with the same packaging and shipping speed is $22! The next time I came was to return an item from Amazon. I did not print the label at home so when I arrived I asked the associate to print the label for me and I would pay the $1-2 it would be (which is already unreasonably priced for a piece of paper with ink on it) to print the label. Instead I was instructed to rent their computer for $5/min, log on to my Amazon account and print the label myself which would cost an additional $1-2 on top of the computer rental fee! This review is intended for this specific UPS location. I have had great experiences dealing with other UPS locations in the bay area, but will definitely be staying away from this one. read more
