I was returning a huge package from Amazon. It was three boxes. But Amazon only sent me one tracking label. Thank goodness I just happen to go to UPS for something else and asked about me returning the three boxes. The rep who was nice asked me did each package have a label on them I said yes. She said you will need to contact Amazon to see if they can create 2 more labels for because they don't tell people this and can cause their two unlabeled packages to get lost. I was like wow. So I did and they did give me 2 additional labels. So if your returning more than one box with Amazon make sure they give you a label for each box. Thank you UPS. read more

Bad customer service experience... Before coming in I picked up some tape from Target so I don't have to pay their pacakaging fee. I came in with 3 packages to ship out as returns. One of the packages I had a barcode for. My 2 other packages did not have labels. My printer broke down recently so I was unable to print the labels. I did read on their website about printing services so I inform the employee Nicole about the other 2 labels that need printing. She gives me a sheet with instructions on how to forward my shipping labels to their email so she could print them out. She also mentions about the $5 fee for printing which I think is crazy expensive but what the heck I need those 2 labels. I forward the label emails and as I'm doing that she proceeds to help other customers in line which was fine with me because I'm not ready anyway right? Ok this is when my experience starts going downhill. Nicole looks irritated at the fact she has to go to the back and print the labels, which I don't understand because she is not printing them for free. She comes up to the counter and affirms I only sent 1 label! Although I did send both. I was calm about the situation and only said "Ok I will send it". I am not going to argue because there is no need, I just need this done. Nicole you cannot just assume and confirm something was not sent when I can clearly see on my end that the emails were sent. There are infinite possibilities of what could've happened to that second emaiI but you should not affirm. Anyway I proceed to Re-send the 2nd label and from the corner of my eye I can see Nicole starting to tape one of my boxes. I refuse to pay for their packaging fee and I inform her that I brought in my own tape. She turns and tells me "Well why didn't you tape it?" In the most rude and smart mouth way possible. I inform her I did not tape it because there is a part of the label that is suppose to go inside the box because as mentioned before I needed their printer! Without saying a word to me she rips the tape off the box and places the piece of the label inside. I pay my printing fee and still thank her for her service. I get not one Thank you or you're welcome from her. 1 star for lack of cutomer service The 2nd star is because at least my packages were sent. I've always had good experience when assisted by any other employee except for Nicole. That's what the one star is for. This bad review is specifically for Nicole, which in reading the other reviews, is consistently rude and delivers poor customer service. I was so mad when I left the store, that I filed a formal complaint against her with UPS. I have had an encounter with her in the past, but decided to ignore the first time it happened. Today, I was there, and I again encountered her rudeness, so I thought it's time to send a formal complaint to UPS and a Yelp review. The first incident happened a few months ago. I had an Amazon package to return. She was helping another customer, and I was being assisted by another gentleman. I needed to tape up my package, so I asked the gentleman if I could use his packing tape to seal my package. He said, "yes, go ahead." Nicole was coming back from the back and saw me holding the tape. She says to me, "you can't use that yourself." I responded, "I asked him , and he told me to go ahead." She turns to the gentleman and says, "why did you tell her she can use that? She's not supposed to touch that." Anyway, the gentleman ended up taping my package to me and helping me nicely. Nicole was rude, but I thought I ignore it. Nothing big. Fast forward to today. I came in to return my equipment from AT&T. I was told to bag it and drop it off at UPS. The representative I was speaking to specifically told me to reference my DirecTV account number for the receivers and my AT&T account number for the modem. I come in to the store, and she says, "I can help you here." I approach the counter and stated that I have equipment to return to AT&T. She turns her back walking towards the back room while saying something. I didn't understand what she said, so I just set the bags on the counter while I wait for her. She came back and says, "I said to take them out of the bag." I take the equipment out of the bag (already mildly irritated by the rude ask to take the equipment out of the bag). She says, "what is the name the account is under?" I have the note from AT&T with my account number. I handed it to her and started to explain that there are two different account numbers for the two sets of equipment. She cuts me off and says, "it doesn't matter, in our system it all goes into the same place." She started scanning the receivers, annoyed that they were dusty. She then scans the modem. I again said, "could you please reference the account numbers in the appropriate equipment?" She said, "I said it doesn't matter in our system. It all goes to the same place." I got irritated by this time, because I will be the one stuck of the phone for hours fixing this if they don't all get returned properly. So I said (raising my voice a little as I am irritated that she's not listening to me) again, "I was specifically instructed by AT&T to reference the two account numbers to the specific equipment." She says, "why are you yelling at me?" I said, "because you are not listening to me. I was specifically instructed to reference the account numbers. If they don't get returned properly, I will be the one stuck on the phone fixing this." She answers, "you could go to another store, if you want, and they will tell you the same thing." With that answer, I am losing my patience. I again insisted, "could you just please reference the account numbers?" She said again, "it doesn't matter. You could show them the receipt if there's a problem. I don't know why you keep yelling at me." This is when I lost my cool and I answered, "because you are being a bitch. You won't be the one stuck on the phone trying to fix it if there's an issue." I turned around to leave, and she says "you are the bitch." I turned around and said, "you know you shouldn't work retail if you are a bitch. Your rude attitude doesn't have room in retail." I've never been worked up by any retail employee the way Nicole has. And at a UPS store! This woman has an attitude big time and needs a customer service crash course. read more

Oh my god, this location is awful. In noting the good, the woman working behind the counter was pleasant, positive and helpful. Which was pretty amazing given there seemed to be about a steady 6-7 people in line the entire 30 minutes I was there. Went to make copies, was warned the end machine may not work. After that failed attempt, tried a different counter and different machine to make 2 sided copies of 11x14 pages, about 20 in all. Was charged $20, questioned that amount but at this point too tired to argue. Went to the library, out of curiosity checked the receipt and discovered I was charged for 233 copies. WTF!! Will never come to this location again, better off at Kinkos or UPS in El Cerrito. read more

Went here yesterday (5-29-19) about 2:30 pm to get a document notarized and was told their one & only Notary Public had left for the day & that I should come back tomorrow or go to the other location at Richmond Parkway & San Pablo Ave. So I did and upon arriving at this store (about 3:00pm), I was told their Notary Public person wasn't available and would come out in 14 minutes (assuming in the back room on a break). I waited about 25 minutes (sometimes the only customer in the store) before leaving in disgust. After spending an hour and a half, traveling and waiting at these stores for ZERO service, I Will NEVER go to any UPS store again. Instead, use the FedEx stores or if you just need a Notary, go to Castle Bail Bonds on 27th St. in Richmond, near City Hall. read more

I've been at this UPS store a few times just to return items back to Amazon. Nicole assisted me every time and I am impress with her customer service. She does her job well. She explained to me that in the future I do not need to print or package my items. I can just bring in my return items and they will take care of the rest. She's very professional and kind. I attempted to send a 7 lb box dimensions 30" x 26" x 7" to Texas on December 18, 2020. Total cost due to size was $91.20. Unbeknownst to me, the apt # was not included in the address. I gave the tracking # to the recipient (family member). After not receiving the delivery upon the expected arrival date (I don't remember the date) she began to call in. She was told there was an attempt to deliver but was unable to without the apt #. She then gave that # and was told the system would be updated. After not receiving the box, she called another 2 times. She was told that there was no apt # on the manifest. She again gave them the apt # and was told the system would be updated. It's now appx 1 1/2 weeks later and she still had not received the box. She contacted me and told me of the situation. I contacted my local UPS Store where I originally went to have the item boxed and shipped. I gave her the updated address information and she told me she would update the system, contact the Texas hub and call me back with an update the following day. I contacted her on the following day as I had not heard back. She indicated that the Texas hub had not contacted her back. So I waited for a call from her the following day. When she called me, I was told that the box was on its way back to California! WHAT THE WHAT?????? She could tell by my voice that I was upset. She let me know once it arrived that I could come back to pick it up. With all of that said, I am very disappointed in how UPS handled this situation. Why wasn't the address updated and box delivered when my family member called? UPS had 3 different times to get make that happen! Why wasn't the address updated and the box delivered when I called? Why didn't I receive a call from the UPS Texas location once they realized that an apt # was needed. Do you always treat all your customers in this careless manner? Or is it just the small consumer??? I doubt you treat your corporations like this. They spend way more money on shipments for UPS to lose their accounts!!! I really need to just get my life together, buy printer ink and hook up my printer at my house to avoid ever coming back to this UPS Store. I contemplated writing a review but was compelled after I was given multiple reasons. First off, I had visited this store awhile back when I needed to print and make some scans so I thought why not go back. The initial visit was pleasant but this visit was hella extra for no reason. I used their computer like normal, swiped my debit card to access the internet and print copies. After logging off, I realized I needed some other shit printed, so I swiped again and both times I was charged a fee under $5 for my usage. Luckily the receipts were printed and I kept them. While working on my documents, I ear hustled the conversation between one of the employees and a customer whom she was on the phone with. The employee blatantly told the customer that the store does not provide a scanning service and I guess the customer replied using profane words. The employee responded, hung up but instead of letting it go, she resorted to venting aloud to her colleague and another customer who was in the shop. I was getting pretty annoyed having to listen to her voice. So fast forward, I needed to make some scans onto my usb flash drive. The idiotic employee who told the customer on the phone that they had no scan service felt the need to tell me about using the copying machine. I told her I was not making copies but was actually going to scan some documents. She said, "Oh, we don't do scans." I replied, "Yes you do. I did it last time." She responded, "No we don't, there is no scans here. You can't scan there." I said, "Yeah I can." Then she left me alone. I figured she probably didn't know how to use the scan function and just believed that the copy machine doesn't scan. I went about my business and scanned away. After everything was said and done, she asked me, "Oh, did it work?" I replied with a "Yes." I went to the counter, asked the male employee if he could check my flash drive to see if the two documents were scanned properly. He left to the back and returned, confirming it had been. Score! He then asked me if I needed to make payment for all the copies I've printed. I told him that I had already swiped my debit card at the computer station. Then the female employee side busted and said, "Well yes, you did use your debit card for the printing but because you scanned, we need to charge you." I asked, "How much?" She said, "A dollar for every page you scanned." I asked, "Really?" She said "Yes." I was so irked because this was the same idiot who said the copy machine couldn't scan and now out of nowhere, you want to put a $1 price tag on the scan. How you come up with $1 a page when you had no idea the scanner worked?! I was blown away!! I wasn't so mad about how much the scans were going to cost me, I was more livid that she thought she could pull a price out of her ass when she realized I was able to scan documents. At this point, I chose the high way and really had no energy nor time to argue with a clueless girl. I paid them and paid myself to never return because when I checked my account later that day, I saw that the UPS Store finessed me, charging me $19.95 both times for accessing internet and printing a couple of pages...when clearly my receipts states $3.49 and $4.63 respectively. Not only do they have a loud mouthed, uneducated girl working at the store, but the store is corrupted thinking they can overcharge me for a service that it's not nearly worth that much. Where do I begin. tl;dr: DO NOT GO HERE. I needed to return a Dell laptop, and Dell provided me a UPS shipping label, so I found a UPS Store near me (this one) and decided I would drop off there. I also had a small print job, so I used the UPS Store's online site to upload my documents for pickup. I returned five hours after submitting my order, assuming that the job had been completed already (it wasn't) and not only that but I was told that they wouldn't print out my UPS return label (even though I had called them earlier to confirm they would). They pointed at the computer for rent and said that was my only option, or I could submit another online order. Annoyed, I submitted another print job for the UPS shipping label (I was too stubborn and stupid to pay $3 for the computer) when I got home and dutifully noted that I would receive an email confirmation that my print job was ready. At the same time, I received an email that my first print job was done and ready to pick up (now over 6 hours later). Fast forward the next afternoon. Finally I get the confirmation that my one page print job for the shipping label has completed, nearly a day after submission. I hop in my car, laptop box in hand, to pick up my print jobs, tape the return label on the laptop box back to dell, and be on my merry way. When I arrive at the store, there's a line almost 15 people deep and only one person working. She's SLOOOOW and it takes almost a half hour before I'm at the counter. I pick up the two print jobs and ask her for a shipping sleeve and if I can borrow some tape to tape the opening of my box closed. She tells me it will be $1.50 for EACH piece of tape she uses to close the package. When I ask how many pieces she would need to tape one side of the opening closed, she says "3 maybe?" I decided to buy a tape dispenser off the wall instead. Some people in line had overheard all this and exclaimed "wait what it costs how much for some tape? I need some too!" While I was taping up my box, one person swallowed and paid the taping charge while another was grateful that I shared some of my tape (for free of course) to secure their package. I went to pay for the dispenser and the woman behind the counter rang it up at almost $10. After I left the store, I realized that the dispenser was broken, either by me as I taped my package shut or the other customer. I went back inside, pointed at the broken piece and asked if I could return it for a refund. The woman behind the counter laughed and said she didn't know what the return policy was because she's never had someone return something before. At this point I walked out, knowing I was going to be writing this review to share and WARN YOU NOT TO GO HERE unless all you need is to drop off a sealed UPS package with the shipping label already affixed, if you don't mind waiting a day for a one page print job or if you don't mind taking it in the rear I guess. read more

I was buying a house and was in and out of there for weeks making copies, scanning and emailing documents (it was a very stressful time) and every time I was greeted with a genuine smile and conversation that relived the stress of the moment. I had to ship two packages and my choices were this location, Richmond, and Pinole. I was iffy about this one since it only had one review, but I figured I'd give it a shot since the ones in Pinole and Richmond only had 3-stars each. It was my first time shipping anything, so I didn't really know what I was doing. Told the gentleman (who I'm assuming was the manager) I needed a box to ship one package that already had a shipping label and then a shipping label for another package. He was really nice and very helpful. I was in and out without a headache! I'll definitely be coming back to this location if/when I need to ship anything via UPS. read more

Very disappointed in this place. I scheduled a 12:30 appointment for my dad to have a document notarized. I was told the Notary was with someone and we would have to wait outside. I told the employee that I would wait outside, but that my dad is elderly and could not stand up outside and wait, but that I would have him sit in a chair near the door. I was given a blank stare with no response. There is a notice on the door to wear a mask and only 3 people in the store at one time. At one time there were 7 people in the store and 2 were not wearing masks. Meanwhile my dad and I waited 45 minutes for our turn which took all of 2 minutes. We were seen at 1:15 for our "12:30" appointment. When I asked about that time of the appointment, I was told that the Notary is a walk- in appointment. If that's the case, there should not be an option on the website to schedule an appointment. It's a waste of time. I will not be returning to this unorganized place of business. read more

The people here are super friendly! I went in for fingerprinting and they were very gentle-especially considering the fact that one of my fingers is still a little tender after a mishap with a paper cutter. I was nervous because the place I usually go to always presses down hard when they roll your fingers and they often have to redo some of them. The person that did my fingerprints was a pro! I went to this store location this afternoon at 4:10pm, September 15, 2020. Stood outside for a few minutes due to the covid situation, they only allow 3 persons inside at a time. Pretty soon it was my turn to go in, there was an elderly Asian woman in front of me. I felt bad for the woman because the clerk was at times raising her voice at the woman. There was a part where she asked something (inaudible) and the clerk responded in a very unprofessional condescending manner, I knew the clerk was in a bad mood. I stood on the wrong side of the lane, the clerk turned her attention to me, "Don't stand there that's where she's exiting!" Okay we're all human, we all have bad days. I didn't respond. It was now my turn. Knowing she was in a foul mood I, the customer, tried to be as cordial as possible. I asked her something she told me to slow down, though I didn't think I was out of line. She looked at my package, "Why are there 2 address stickers on the box??" she was mad at something.."Oh is that a bad thing?" in the most meek voice I can muster, trying not to exacerbate the situation, "Yes!" she said in a hostile tone. How should I know these things? I thought to myself "I'm sorry I'll take the extra one off".."No I'll just cover it up" she replied, at this time I felt extremely uncomfortable and belittled, i just wanted to get out as fast as i can. She turned and I asked in a friendly manner "Having a bad day?" in the most friendliest tone I can manage just hoping to ease her temper. No response. I, the customer, who has done NOTHING wrong told her.."Please don't do this, I've done nothing wrong to you". No response. I just wanted to get done so I can leave, this was so demeaning. I then lifted a sticker receipt, asked her, "What's this for?" She replied "That's your drop-off receipt" in a hostile tone. Omg is this really happening..finally it was over. No apology, no nothing..I just had to take it. I definitely did not deserve that kind of treatment nor did the old lady. I know this doesn't reflect the principles of UPS, I know she doesn't reflect the company's views. However if she's done this before and there have been other complaints against her then she shouldn't be in a customer service position. It's hard to find a job nowadays so maybe she should be in a position that doesn't require her to deal with customers. I don't want anyone to lose their job, so maybe a warehouse position, i don't know. If there's a video camera which hopefully has audio in that store maybe UPS can look at it..between 4:10pm to 4:30pm of September 15,2020 and see if I'm overreacting. No one deserves such treatment. In addition, there was a police officer that was trying to calm another customer prior to me and the woman being serviced, the customer talking to the officer or being questioned by him I'm guessing felt maltreated as well by this clerk. I haven't used Yelp in years, years..but I felt this had to be done before another person gets offended or ill treated. read more

Good customer service on a Tuesday afternoon, friendly people, got the packages out. Tiny shop but had everything I needed for a pretty serious packing job. Besides the fact that I felt less than welcomed when I walked in, they literally charge you for everything. I should have just gone to the UPS store on Richmond parkway, where they are very helpful. I didn't have an issue paying for using their computer to print my return label it's the manner in which things were said to me and how the girl seemed bothered that she had to provide me customer service. Lets just say I won't be returning and I'll make sure to tell my friends and family to not even bother with this location. Where do I start? I had been expecting a package from this facility, and it had been delayed. TWICE. Yesterday, it was delayed because they simply forgot my package at the facility. Seriously? Today, they gave no reason. This morning, it had said that my package was out for delivery at 9:30. So, I had expected to see my package waiting for me when I got home from work later hat day. NOPE. I checked my tracking, and it said that my package was delayed YET AGAIN for no given reason, and will not be receiving it til HOPEFULLY this coming Monday. I guess it's time for me to look for another UPS store to send packages back. The Corona virus problem is no excuse for their manager/owner not to open up the place on time or at all. I went there on 04/02/20 at 9am to send a package back, they were closed. I went back there the same day 2.5 hours later, they were still closed. I went back there today 04/03/20 with the package, and the old woman there gave me the same attitude she has given me for the past 2 years. If this lady doesn't want to do her business during the shutdown and even before the shutdown maybe it's just time for her to get her social security check and stay home.
