Rude Employees and Horrible Customer Service I stopped in to make two Amazon returns and was assisted by a young employee with two braids who had been sitting at a desk. She got up with an annoyed look, never greeted me, completed the entire transaction without saying a single word, handed me the receipt, and walked away. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and strange. I genuinely felt like I was an inconvenience simply for being there. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've experienced this type of customer service at this location. A simple greeting and basic courtesy would go a long way. I stopped by earlier today to do some Amazon returns and it's a legit rainstorm outside. I grab my items that I'm returning and proceed to enter the store. I step in and there is this middle aged tall white haired man behind the counter. He doesn't greet me, he looks at me with disgust and just grabs the scanner to start my return process. While I'm pulling up my phone to find the barcodes I hear him sigh like he is irritated and doesn't wanna be there. I get it, it's Christmas Eve but that shouldn't decrease your customer service experience. I bring out the items and he scans them quietly and when packaging them he throws them in the bins behind him with so much attitude that I'm starting to feel uncomfortable like he can't wait for me to leave and returns to be over with. I had roughly 5 items in my box that I was returning and all labels and barcodes were in order. When I'm done I kindly ask if he could toss the box I had with me for me and he side eyes me and says "No, we don't have any room for YOUR BOX. But there are containers by Panera." And that's it, I just walked out while hearing him sigh in the back I haven't felt this dull about an establishment in a very very long time. I will never return to this place again, and will keep to my UPS I usually go to. This was a horrible experience to say the least. It honestly doesn't cost anything to be friendly, just sayin'. I've always had great customer service to ship a package out, but ask them for help beyond that, and the greatness drops. I had shipped an expensive item out with insurance, and the receiver did not get the package. Contacted UPS, and they said that I had to go back to the UPS Store where I had shipped it from. I always go to this UPS store because they are often very helpful and friendly and most importantly fast service I send packages to my college kids at least a every 2 months here . Send certified mail all the time when sending small cards or letters etc. just to ensure they get there . Anyway , the gentleman that usually helps me in the afternoons always prints out a label with the addresses for me because I have severe carpal tunnel in my left hand and I am left handed . This time I came to this place it was a different person younger lady , clearly had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand since I had a bandage on it .could not write at all this time .. She said she cannot print a label since it's a certified letter ( which I paid 9 dollars for ) she literally made me write out the address, which took forever since my surgery was just a week ago ), I told her , " it's like torture you know I just had surgery , can you please print out a label"? she said they don't do that for certified letters .. I will never use this store again and I'm gonna complain to corporate since I use this place often and this is the first time I have been treated like this . Clearly you all need to train your staff better on common customer courtesy . She even said to me while I was struggling writing, " well , your almost done !" I will NeVER come here again . This location is convenient for me as it is close to my house. I only utilized the shipping service which went well and the employees were nice and knowledgeable. I have been coming to this location for many years now. The owner and his team workers have all been like good friends - it's really rare that in this day and age to have a store where u can go and feel like you are going to see some old friends (and oh yeah get your packages and stuff) For example, a few months back a family member was going through some medical stuff and we had a difficult time with heavier packages. Without knowing about this or even being asked they would help us bring the packages to the car and packing it for us -- so this tells you how nice and caring they are. They also have a lot of patience when you can't figure out the Amazon labels. Joe has been here for years, not sure if he is the manager or owner but he has always been helpful with packaging, labels. Santa Clarita CA 91387 to ship a Movado Connect Swiss Black Smart Watch that I had successfully sold on eBay and I received full payment via PAYPAL for $330.00. The recipient name and address per the (attached ITEM #1) receipt is:   Anchoi Headley 1145 Fox Hill Dr # 325 Monroeville PA 15146-1640   I paid $21.33 to get this item shipped and insured for a declared value of $330.00 per the (attached receipt ITEM #2).    On 10/12/2019 I received a message from the buyer, Anchoi Headly via Ebay stating that the package showed delivered on your website however she had never received it.     So, I immediately called The UPS Store at 661-299-9230 and spoke with Joe and explained the situation to him. He said that he would submit a claim for further investigation.     On October 14, 2019 Joe called me to let me know that UPS was trying to get a hold of the buyer without any success and asked me if I had the phone number to the buyer and if I could verify it. He confirmed that the number I provided was the same number that they had tried calling but had not been able to get a hold of the buyer. He said that they would keep trying.    On October 24, 2019 Joe called me and advised me that they had finished the investigation and determined that the item had been delivered on 10/9/2019 at 2:49pm. So, I asked for proof and he send me a printout form UPS stating " According to our records, 1 parcel was delivered on 10/09/2019 at 2:49pm, and left and your customer's front door." (Attachment ITEM #3).    In the meantime, my buyer Anchoi Headly submitted a claim with PayPal who was the service provider who manages the payments from EBAY.    On 11/11/2019 I received an email from PAYPAL ( Attachment ITEM #4 ) stating that they had ruled in the favor of the buyer and refunded her $330.00 because of the fact that when they inputted the UPS tracking number that I provided in your www.ups.com website it clearly states the following per ( Attachment ITEM #5 ):   Delivered 10/09/2019 2:49 P.M. New Stanton , PA , US    The fact that the delivery city of New Stanton did not coincide with the agreed delivery address that I had inputted of Monroeville, they determined that the shipment was shipped to an incorrect address.    Because of the fact that your website is showing the incorrect information I am out $330.00 and I am also out my watch.     On November 12 , 2019 I called Joe at the UPS Store ( Attachment ITEM #6 ) copy of all of my call logs to inform him that PAYPAL had ruled in favor of the buyer and that I wanted to get my $330.00 back and he said that unfortunately there would be nothing that he or UPS could do about it because they showed it delivered.    I would like a resolution to my problem by getting reimbursed for the $330.00 that I am out and would like this resolved no later than 11/30/2019. I've made an account today to give feedback to this location, because I believe it is pressing that I get this information across. I'd like to preface by saying the customer service itself was good. The staff was helpful and friendly. However, the manager in this location has a clear indifference to the COVID-19 pandemic that could bring harm to both the customers and their own staff. Masks and social distancing are not enforced in this store. It seems the manager even makes it a point to make it known that he has an uncaring view of the whole pandemic, and this results in customers taking off their masks. He joked about the pandemic and the lockdown. 100,000 deaths have been registered in the USA alone. Cases are still on the rise in LA. How is this a laughing matter? Many cases are asymptomatic, most won't even know they have the virus. If such a customer walks into his store, takes off their mask and spreads it to others within the location, will he finally take responsibility for his negligent attitude? One patient with mild symptoms could cause another to catch the virus with deadly effects. Other UPS stores I've went to have enforced masks and social distancing. I don't think basic prevention measures is much to ask for. I emphasize this. The bare minimum of following protocol could save lives. Please make the effort, and enforce mask-wearing and social distancing within the store. read more
