this is, by far, the worst UPS store i've ever visited. there was one employee (mr. patel, who i assume is the owner) working, and the line was nearly out the door. i waited an eternity. that's not the worst part of my experience though. mr. patel's customer service was so bad that i've vowed never to return to this location. i made my return as easy as possible and had everything ready, so the line would continue moving, but of course, he found a way to delay the process. my amazon return was not taped (because literally amazon says UPS will package it) and he refused to tape it. i asked him to make an exception, but he just loved being difficult. a lady in line even came to my defense, but he wouldn't budge. absolutely awful ownership. avoid this location at all costs! read more

I've gone to this UPS store many times but typically in the morning . The young man that is working in the morning is absolutely fantastic ! Super clean super understanding and super patient . I went in today about 130 and was helped by the owners . The wife was horrible to me rude telling me I wasn't doing my part with making my screen bright enough she was just absolutely rude. I rarely give bad reviews. While I'm sick, a family member came in to ship two medium size bottle of barbecue sauce to my son in Austin Texas. I had a chart that showed poundage, box, and shipping with UPS. This should have been under $25 according to typical UOS prices. My family member ended up paying $72 to ship $12 of barbecue sauce. Yes there was a small ice pack and we bought a $5 box. Total rip off at $72. Owner will now attempt to justify. I'm 30 yrs a chief real estate appraiser and a good sense of evaluation of many things. This was atrociously bad value and I think another store the price would have been far lower. read more

Lacking simple interpersonal skills. The lady working there should pay attention to the way she talks to people, could be as simple as throwing in a "please" or "thank you" once in a while to come across less bossy & bothered during the 2-3 minute interaction with customers. I have tried to give this place numerous chances and all I do is drop off, should be simple hello, scan package and be on my way. Aside from the fact they are not very helpful or welcoming they always find something wrong with box/package or label and won't allow me to drop off, probably same reason why they have such poor rating. I'm forced to leave and take the same package to another UPS drop off and it is hello, thank you and I'm on my way, they never find anything wrong or question the package. Though more convenient I have gone to this place for the last time. Again all I want to do are simple drop offs, can't imagine if I really needed their assistance. The couple that recently bought this franchise deserve an award for being the nastiness people I have even encountered. On my last visit, the man took my return package, weighed it, and handed me the receipt. I took a pen from the desk, and made a note on the receipt as to what the item was. I left the top of the pen on the top of the pen, and he yelled at me about it. On the previous visit, I brought in two return packages. I told the woman that I wanted separate receipts, so that I could write a note on each identifying the item. When she weighed the first one, I asked her to hand me the receipt. She purposely held it away from me, and gave me both receipts at once, just to be nasty. I had to figure out on my own which receipt belonged to which item. This used to be a nice store, with nice employees. Now it is a dirty, disgusting place to go. Never again. read more

Mr. Patel is one of the rudest customer service employees I have ever met. He's the owner of this location according to him. I go there monthly for a shipment and it's always the same thing. He asks for my I.D. and then says, "No I don't have your package." And then I have to tell him, "I see it right there", and he says that I gave him the wrong name. Guy, it's on the I.D. I just needed to return two items and asked if i can get the wifi to pull out the code but she refused it. I had to go to another UPS store to return. Poor customer service. Lady working the front desk was very rude and unhelpful. Needed to use the printer to print out a return label, she said it wasn't working, i couldn't email the return label to her and she flat out said i can't help you go to another store. Mind you i had already already unloaded and carried in a heavy kennel and box into the store with an injured shoulder. The day started off with me calling the UPS store to confirm that a package I wanted to return would be good to go. After being told yes, I drove over and a very nice younger woman scanned my package and told me I was good to go. About 10min after arriving home, I received a called from Mr Patel telling me that I had to come back to the store because they couldn't ship my package. When I arrived, Mr Patel told me I couldn't ship two items in one box when there are separate shipping labels (????? but okay, what choice do I have, right?). After asking if I could just put the second shipping label in the box, Mr Patel proceeded to call me naïve, cheap, and that by doing that and not having two tracking labels that I was running the risk of an item being stolen from my package. I questioned him asking what the difference would be because one way or another that risk would be taken by trusting UPS. Essentially he told me that you can't trust the business that he represents...He then tells the younger employee in a very condescending tone about how I don't want remove the item and am going to ship the package (again ???????). I tell him that after him telling me I am running a greater risk of having an item stolen that I would like to remove the item but that means that I will have to re-tape the box. He then backtracks on his statements and tells me that it is no problem to ship both items and UPS is a safe and trustworthy company. WTF?!?! I removed the item anyways and was then told that they would not provide me with a strip of tape to re-tape my package and that if I wanted to save a couple extra bucks, which was continually implied throughout this process rather rudely, that I would have to drive back home. So I paid the $6 FOR A SMALL ROLE OF TAPE very begrudgingly. This guy was so incredibly rude, constantly interrupted me, and incredibly passive aggressive. Take the extra time to drive to a different location. This guy is a grade A idiot and no business should continue to employ someone who is so blatantly rude. read more

I just moved to Seal Beach in August from Huntington Beach where I use UPS quite often. My first experience in this store was that I had a return and the label was USPS, the owner rudely told me this was regular mail and to go to the post office. Which I was very shocked because my store in Huntington Beach never turned me away. The second time was just last week, I had an Amazon return, I had my label and my items in a box so they could verify what was in there, and when I walked in the woman behind the counter rudely ask what do you have! I told her let me get my label, I then showed her my label and she said okay now tape up the box! I said, can you tape up the box for me? My other store always taped up the box. She said no! You can buy a roll of tape!!! I said, OMG I am never coming back to this store again, at that time the owner (a man) yelled out we do not need customers like you!!! I said I do not need to be treated like this by you. I then left the store, and my husband followed me, at that time the man Called me a White Karen!!! My husband said to this man, you better watch your mouth, and the man said meekly OK. I will never patronize this store again, I am all for supporting my local business's and I am very respectful, and grateful for the good service a local business provides. However, if you like to be treated with respect and gratitude for supporting your local business' then regarding this UPS store, you are not their kind of customer, they are rude, and lazy. Look at all the bad reviews, which are very consistent of what my experience was. I will drive back to Huntington Beach to my old store in the Vons Shopping Center on Atlanta, where they always great me with a smile and appreciate my business. I got double charged. I noticed it on the receipt soon after I left since the credit card machine doesn't show the amount. I called immediately, and the first thing they recommend is that I go though my bank rather than them fix it. Then they said they had to go through UPS headquarters, which couldn't happen until the next week. Even though they said they would call me to confirm the next week, I ended up having to call them to find the status. They said the manager submitted it to headquarters for the refund, and it will depend on my bank. Once received, banks generally only take 3-5 days. Even though they said they would call me and check with me, I had to actively call them multiple times with no resolution. It has been over 3 weeks, and they still haven't given me my money back. I don't ship things often, but this was a horrible experience with poor customer service. I see the reviews are pretty low for this place everywhere, but I still think it's too high. read more

Recommends walking throughout the parking lot to try and get cell service, Due to the navy base. Staff cannot connect you to store Guest WIFI because "only Franchise Owner has that authority".. AVOID store owner making up bogus fees! Came to pickup a package from a store that offered "free UPS store pickup" only to be told I had to pay $10 to get my package. I went to return an Amazon item. Amazon had UPS come to my house for 1 pick up attempt, of course I wasn't home (Murphy's Law). UPS left a label, that of course my son lost LOL. I went into this location with the tracking number, I was told he couldn't help me. I showed him the information, he said "nah, I can't look that up. Take the stuff to Kohl's"! I went to my truck, 'canceled return', scheduled a new return, walked into the store and showed him the bar code and he didn't even want to know what I did so he could help others!! Came in mid-morning on a Saturday (about 10:45 a.m.) to drop off a few Amazon returns, and then wait (if needed) for an 11:00 a.m. appointment that I made the day before for passport photos. The person attending to me (I believe her name is "Renessa" going by her name tag) was SO incredibly helpful, pleasant and professional. She was juggling at least 3-4 customers in person at any given time, plus with answering phone calls. I looked on in amazement at how friendly, calm and professional she remained the entire time I was there, despite having to run around and juggle everyone's requests (by phone and in person). She took a great passport photo of me (which to me is probably one of the hardest things to do, second only to taking a good driver's license photo!) - so I was pleased with both the drop off service, as well as the passport photo service. While I was there, I decided to also go ahead and rent a mailbox, as the one I was using at the USPS was about to expire. I found this UPS Store location so pleasant, that I decided to go ahead and make this location my mailing address. Per Yelp, 5-stars means "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" and this UPS Store (thanks mainly to Resenna), is definitely as good as it gets customer-service-wise. read more

I went in knowing I was paying for convenience of location and materials to ship. If people are having such a bad experience why not just go to the post office, rather than visit 2+ times and leave a bad review? I have a box there and I've been using the services that they provide for years now even with the previous owners. Which I will add the current owners are far more courteous respectful and patient than the past one. It's funny how customers these days have zero patience for someone doing their job and trying to take care of a line of people out the door. Just as a reminder this business that stayed open during the lockdown and through Covid when online shipping quadrupled or more overnight. Reading the reviews, I am perplexed at the complaints because I didn't have that experience at all. I walked in the store (already very frustrated) with 3 Amazon returns that I called Amazon prior to arriving to get specific return instructions to take to a UPS Store. Amazon is slowly changing their return policy and methods on us. When I arrived at the store, I quickly found out what AMAZON told me was NOT TRUE. Geeta was very patient to explain and calm me down (because Amazon deceived me that I could just drop off unwrapped packages and they would scan my code, and I could walk out; very easy) That is FALSE. Geeta pointed out on Amazon code in fine print I had to provide my own box and prepare the shipping; when I asked Amazon 3x on the phone and they reassured me no labels, no box, just drop it off). Amazon is making it harder to do returns, taking away prime benefits, longer delivery times, and now putting the burden on contracted UPS stores to carry the burden of preparing Amazon packages all day taking away from their regular customers. It seems a shame the UPS store is getting bad reviews instead of Corporate America Amazon. The store had patience with me, helped me with my scans, prepared my package and calmed me down at the same time. PROFESSIONAL and helpful. This is a good store and I think those bad reviews I glanced at MUST BE FOLKS THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT EVERYTHING IN LIFE. We Americans need to stop attacking each other and be supportive. The only winner here in bad reviews is Corporate America, NOT the middle-class working people providing service the best they can. THINK before you attack others. Be kind. I simply said i would like to mail my package and she said "it's not getting shipped out today you should've gotten here earlier because we can't ship it out today at this time." DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS. Bewildered at the stupidity and lack of helpfulness at this store. I needed to print out a couple of fliers, so the attendants told me I needed to use their computer, WHICH CHARGES YOU MONEY TO EVEN USE BY THE MINUTE. I've been paid about $11 to print out my fliers on special paper and the guys claimed that no request ever came through and that they don't even have this type of paper. I have charges on my credit card for all of the services and I didn't even get the flyer printed. I've disputed these charges with my credit card but I'm really disappointed with the service I received today. This was truly ridiculous. Update: Went here for Amazon return. Most UPS stores don't even require the return to be brought in a box. I brought my return in a box and the owner told me I needed to PURCHASE A ROLL OF TAPE to shut the box. WORST STORE EVER. I wouldn't even give this place a star if I could. I dropped off a package which a gentleman took no questions asked. Then I was called about an hour later. And assuming from all the other yelp reviews that we must be talking about the same woman, Jena. This woman was so incredibly rude I cannot ever fathom giving them my business again. She told me that the driver may or may not get my package today, which I said was fine (Saturday, Sunday, Monday, I don't care as long as it goes out) she goes on to tell me that I don't understand and that if it's not picked up today the package is going to be left outside because it's not her business or responsibility.
