My business partners and I had an appointment with Hasmukah at 10:30AM for a notary service. The appointment was confirmed the day before. I walked into this store for the first time yesterday, never realizing how inept the owner is. I only had an Amazon return with a QR code, so I thought, "How can this get screwed up?" Lo and behold, it did get screwed up. This guy (owner H. Patel) scanned the code, printed the label, and then told me I needed to have my own box. I was unaware that I had to provide a box, so I decided to come back the next day rather than buy a box. When I came back the next day, I was now unable to use the QR code because Patel apparently scanned the label as accepted when I was there the day before. So now the item shows "in transit" when it is not, because they never actually took the item. I never had the label, and UPS never had my package. Patel said he could not reprint the label or void it. UPS customer service said they couldn't either since the item shows "in transit". Amazon said they could not issue a new return label since it shows "in transit". So now here I am with an item I cannot return without making a gigantic deal about it, all because this guy scanned the label for an item he did not possess yet. If the owner is going to complain that customers don't come more than three times a week during a pandemic to pick up their mail then have the balls to hire enough people to service the customers who pay for your service. I've been standing outside for the better part of 20 minutes without moving one place in line because the owner refuses to put enough staff to handle all of the non-UPS store walk-ins like Amazon returns which takes up most of the store employees time. I'm 8 months pregnant and grabbed my awkwardly large box as fast as I could to get out of there after being spoken down to. I understand they might not be able to help my situation (return via Amazon), but a little common courtesy and customer service would have at least brought me back for future service. In my opinion and to the best of my knowledge: If I could give this business 0 stars, I truly would. The owner Mr. Patel was assisting me in opening a mailbox as I am located in Florida, and moving to Seal Beach. Mr. Patel continued to charge my card after I told him, "this is the wrong location." Not only did he charge my card, he kept changing the price and then charged $289 for a 6 month mailbox. I do not want the mailbox or any services from him. I have not signed anything and he did not have my permission to continue with the sale. He kept calling me by my first name and I do not know him. When I called him out for fraudulently charging my card, he became very upset and hung up on me, I have an email where he blatantly told me that, "I lie." Not a professional business. The other location in Seal off of Pacific Coast Highway is awesome and they have been very helpful. Mr. Patel and his UPS store in Seal Beach on Seal Beach Boulevard almost to Rossmoor is not willing to work with me in refunding my money and now I am contacting the bank. I highly advise you to shop somewhere else or pick up your packages somewhere else. I am out $289 and if I need to take Mr. Patel to small claims court, I will. Was conducting some shopping inside some of the local businesses in that shopping center and had a package to return that required a UPS drop off. The first indication that it was not going to be a good experience was evident While waiting in line and the employee was flustered by his slow computers. Body language conveyed he was not happy. I had a paid pre-postage label with the box but it wasn't taped on the top. He refused to put a piece of tape. He suggested I needed to buy a whole roll. I would've been open to Purchasing the roll but he Had a really bad attitude. Went to a neighboring store that had no problem Securing the box. I will never honor the store again. Today a piece of tape but he's lost a return customer. I'm not sure what his position is but he doesn't value his customers. A package that I had shipped from here to Montana was stepped on by Montana UPS workers and glass was broken inside. They packaged it nicely at this location but no matter how well they packaged it, they couldn't have protected it from someone stepping on it several times. They even put several fragile sticker on it but that didn't matter. I put in a claim with UPS, which if you haven't done this before was a complete nightmare...except for the exceptional service at this store. I was getting a complete run-around by the UPS customer service department. Mr Patel (I'm assuming was the manager) was awesome! He stepped in and stopped this merry-go-round of buffoonery and helped me get the claim processed. I'm still waiting for the check but this UPS store helped restore UPS's reputation. I went to the UPS store this morning. There were 2 customers ahead of me. The gentleman behind the counter, Nat, greeted me when I arrived and was aware I was waiting. When it was my turn and I got to the counter he greeted me again and was polite and efficient. In and out within 5 minutes. I definitely would go there again! I used this device for an urgent matter, paid the premium for next day early delivery. Unfortunately, UPS selection for a reliable driver failed them. This was no reflection of the Seal Beach UPS store but they were very responsive and held UPS responsible for correcting the problem until it was fully resolved, including a refund for the failed service. Mr. Patel and his staff made a stressful moving experience as painless as possible. I would highly recommend using their services. I am saving thousands of dollars by shipping my household goods. 2300 miles to Pennsylvania. I shipped five 150 pound cardboard boxes. Using his service was the most efficient and I believe least expensive way possible. His service went above and beyond the call of duty. He even text messaged me the night before my departure to make sure I had everything under control with the pick up. His staff is also very friendly and was fun to correspond with. read more

UPS store on Los Alamitos Blvd in the Target parking lot... at 5:35 pm Sean & I take the risk and walk into UPS with 3 packages to return. We waited so we were not making 3 trips. The man behind the counter tells us that UPS does not tape packages (one was not taped up). Surprised, we said ok and Sean reached for the packing tape on the counter. The UPS worker snatched it from Sean and pointed to the wall where we could buy our own tape ($6 for the cheapest one). Again, we comply. While taping up the box, a man walks in and drops off a return, open box. The UPS worker gives him his tracking receipt, then leaves and the UPS worker starts taping his box!!! Sean and I stood there in complete shock. We are now all taped up and ready, he walks over to us and the phone rings. He does not put the call on hold and 3 or 4 minutes later hangs up. In the meantime, a women walks in. When he finished the call, he turned to help her instead of us. Once he finishes helping her he again turns to us, when the phone rings again, he answers and again proceeds to help the caller. We are now vocal with, "are you serious"? He ignores us. When we are finally blessed with his attention, 15 minutes after walking in the door, he refuses to accept the PR code on our phone and demands we login to the UPS computer and print the label. I asked if he has sanitizer and he said no. He left us standing there while people and calls came and went, made us tape our own box while he provided that service for others right in front of us, refused the method of return amazon provided, made us touch the public computer, sign in on the public computer, pay 2 dollars for public computer and did not provide sanitizer after using said public computer. So disappointed in this customer service and in UPS for employing such a person! Walk in customers first, callers sitting safely at home second!!! I will NEVER use this store again! read more

We had a time sensitive document that had to be notarized. We got to the store and realized there was a typo on the document. We got the document fixed and brought it back to the store 6 minutes before the store was to close (5PM on Saturday.) The man inside saw us pulling up and locked the door 6 minutes before closing. I walked up to the door and he said we are closed. I said no you are still open according to your sign, I need a document notarized. He then said my system is down. I said you don't need the system you notarize in a book. He said no because I need to charge you through the system... I have cash but he wanted to key it in apparently. I HIGHLY doubt the system was down but thanks to him we have no way to notarize the document. I use this store ALL the time and now I will be going to the location on PCH. The right thing to do would have been to notarize the document... I don't know what happened to this location but their customer service is non-existent now... hoping PCH is better! Update to response... wow so you are a bold face liar too! No wonder your employees act like that, look at who is managing them! Unless that was you who did it... which at this point wouldn't shock me at all! If there was any chance of me coming back now there certainly isn't now! Sorry but I don't need to lie about my experiences and unfortunately it appears you have to lie to try to keep face in the community for your terrible business practices. I wish It were possible to give zero stars. I have done business here before and was always helped promptly and respectfully (specifically by the young tall, red hair employee). But unfortunately on a recent visit it was the STORE OWNER who helped me. While giving him directions on my print job, he took a phone call and proceeded with my order. I flagged him, indicating I needed to make a change, but he waived me off (still on the phone) & proceeded with the job anyway. After getting off the phone, & telling him of the changes, he did the job again & charged me for the first set of prints in addition to the second set. I questioned why I should have to pay for the first set (it was $4), since he ignored me when I wanted to make a change. Rather than do the right thing (be respectful, treat the customer with kindness, apologize for the lack of service, etc.), he became very irritated with me and the situation only became worse. Hands down this was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED in my life. Period. Pretty ironic that I was printing labels thanking Veterans for their service. Am shocked that the STORE OWNER treats customers this way. It didn't sit well, so I reached out to UPS Stores Corporate office. Who knows if anything will change, but I'm not willing to find out. I sincerely hope the store owner does not respond to this review (did you read how condescending he was to other Yelp reviewers!?) I have since found an AMAZING print shop (something positive came from a pretty ugly situation).
