We had a time sensitive document that had to be notarized. We got to the store and realized there was a typo on the document. We got the document fixed and brought it back to the store 6 minutes before the store was to close (5PM on Saturday.) The man inside saw us pulling up and locked the door 6 minutes before closing. I walked up to the door and he said we are closed. I said no you are still open according to your sign, I need a document notarized. He then said my system is down. I said you don't need the system you notarize in a book. He said no because I need to charge you through the system... I have cash but he wanted to key it in apparently. I HIGHLY doubt the system was down but thanks to him we have no way to notarize the document. I use this store ALL the time and now I will be going to the location on PCH. The right thing to do would have been to notarize the document... I don't know what happened to this location but their customer service is non-existent now... hoping PCH is better! Update to response... wow so you are a bold face liar too! No wonder your employees act like that, look at who is managing them! Unless that was you who did it... which at this point wouldn't shock me at all! If there was any chance of me coming back now there certainly isn't now! Sorry but I don't need to lie about my experiences and unfortunately it appears you have to lie to try to keep face in the community for your terrible business practices. Just provide better customer service and everything will fall into place. Lie and your business will only suffer ten fold. read more

I wish It were possible to give zero stars. I have done business here before and was always helped promptly and respectfully (specifically by the young tall, red hair employee). But unfortunately on a recent visit it was the STORE OWNER who helped me. While giving him directions on my print job, he took a phone call and proceeded with my order. I flagged him, indicating I needed to make a change, but he waived me off (still on the phone) & proceeded with the job anyway. After getting off the phone, & telling him of the changes, he did the job again & charged me for the first set of prints in addition to the second set. I questioned why I should have to pay for the first set (it was $4), since he ignored me when I wanted to make a change. Rather than do the right thing (be respectful, treat the customer with kindness, apologize for the lack of service, etc.), he became very irritated with me and the situation only became worse. Hands down this was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED in my life. Period. Pretty ironic that I was printing labels thanking Veterans for their service. Am shocked that the STORE OWNER treats customers this way. It didn't sit well, so I reached out to UPS Stores Corporate office. Who knows if anything will change, but I'm not willing to find out. I went this morning to return Directv hardware and the older Indian man who was there told me that if the hardware was dirty he would not take them. I told them they were not dirty but they were just a bit dusty because they had been sitting in a bag in my garage for a couple of weeks, they hardly had any dust since I cleaned them before I put them in the bag. He refused to take them and I told him that the way he was speaking g to me was very rude and he said that he didn't care what I thought about him. I told him no wonder he only had 2 stars and he said he didn't care how many stars he has he will do whatever he wants to do. I work for UPS and if this is the way our customers are being treated, this man should not be representing our logo. I ended up to going to another UPS store close to his which has 5 stars and what a difference I service. I had attempted several other locations in the area for an urgent Notary need of a legal document. Upon arriving I was 3rd in line & immediately thought to myself...15 min wait. No so! I was instantly greeted by Janette whom I have to give kiddos to multiple tasking in a kind efficient manner. She quickly identified my need while tending to a large shipment of packages by a UPS truck outside the front door. She immediately informed me that my Notary would be out shortly to attend to me. At the same time she juggled quickly the return of a Spectrum receiver... Soon after speaking with me a person came in dropping Several packages for Amazon and as he immediately thought per Amazon instructions to just DUMP them off and leave! She professionally informed the customer to please provide her with QR codes to expedite his returns. All the while more customers began to appear, and she immediately would make contact with them. Mr Patel appeared shortly and immediately informed me that my out of state doc needed an additional step to complete , which he handled expeditiously. This location in my opinion is Fantastic and FAST. Kiddos for having Jannette as a one person tackling crew member! I had visited 3 business locations similar to this UPS office, but they would never compare in fast service & overall a 10+ in customer service! read more

Rude owners. I recently went to drop off a package and did not receive good customer service. A nice employee who first helped me had a question about my order for one of the owners, which she got annoyed and talked down to him right in front of me. When I called about the package a few days later the owner, Geeta answered the phone and after hearing my question, sounded irritable because she didn't understand what I was asking. She just passed the phone to her husband like she didn't know how to answer my question. This used to be a great store, but these new owners have made it a very unprofessional place. read more

The only nice thing I have to say is it clean and organized. Other than that this place is a joke. I walked in to do some make copies and on top of the copy machine it say to ask for assistance before starting. There was no at the front desk. When I finally got a hold someone she was just ready to ring me up. She asked me if I knew how to work the copy machine. I pointed at the lard sign that said ask for assistance before using machine. Then I asked about printing something from my email. Usually I just email it to the stores and print it out. I was charged $10 because she has me log into my Email address. When I asked why so much for 2 copy's. The man came out from the back yelling at me that was incorrect that there was a hold on my account and that should have logged off and seen the total. They had me stand in front desk while they assisted everyone walking inn. When they were finally done with everybody then they decided to ring me out. I'm never coming back. $11 for a few copy's and to get yelled at. No thank you, I'll be going back to Staples where they have better customer service. Walked in the store with an Amazon return. Package was boxed but had one small flap sticking up. As I walked in the clerks first words to me were "that will be a dollar to tape that". A 3 inch flap. He spoke across the whole store and the two customers who were in front of me (who both looked shocked and sort of rolled their eyes). Thank you for being so kind, and polite. I went in to return an item to Amazon. The youngish clerk with long dark hair was working behind the counter. I had not taped the package and the clerk told me there is a $1 charge to do so. I was surprised and I, admittedly, had a bit of a tone because I was under the impression that the return instructions from Amazon said otherwise. So, I got out some cash to pay, and the clerk took out the laminated instructions to prove to me that I was wrong, when I had not argued, I just pointed out that I thought otherwise. I felt like the clerk's theatrics were a bit much. He then started the whole "be overly nice to make a point" routine, with an obvious tone. I used to really like this location, but since they changed owners the customer service has gone out the window. read more

New owners are absolutely terrible! Used to come here on a regular basis for notaries and shipping packages but now it has become the biggest hassle I am no longer going there! The new owners only ever schedule one person who is extremely unequipped and these poor employees look like they are working all day with no break!!! Went in a little while ago and the owners were out of town and left one person to run the whole store!! They looked exhausted, overworked, and like they were not getting there STATE MANDATED breaks. Every time I've talked to the owners they were extremely rude, unprofessional, and did not know how to run a UPS store. UPS corporate seriously needs to consider allowing these owners to run this store. Horrible customer service. The owner does not know what customer service is. I had a return for amazon and I asked to email the label because there is a charge of 1 dollar. I was glad to pay that. The owner did not want to come out from the back to talk to me. He finally came out and I said I am willing to pay for the printing. I believe it is one dollar. He said "we do not receive email. I said "well why did you give me a card when I asked to email you?" No response on that one. He said that they are afraid of viruses. I had to move my drop box services from Sign, Seal & Deliver (formerly at 203 Argonne Ave., Long Beach) after that owner went out of business and gave me only 2 days' advanced notice. Thankfully, the transition has been smooth ... thanks to Kevin and his able associates. I've only been receiving mail/packages here for about 3 months, but I have no complaints. I do want to praise Seal Beach UPS for their courteous customer service to me ... I had a broken arm recently, and Kevin helped me place some packages into my car. I was also waiting for an important check to arrive in the mail which was delayed for some reason ... one of Kevin's associates called me on a Saturday (!) to let me know that it had arrived. Ridiculous. My father is out of town for the next several weeks and asked me to pick up an unexpected package for him. He purposefully changed the delivery method to be delivered this UPS store near me so that it would not be left on his doorstep until I could retrieve it. The lady working today (27NOV21 @ 3:45pm) refused to release a package to me because I am not the addressee, even though I provided the email confirmation from UPS that clearly states "A government issued photo ID is needed to pick up the shipment. If you are picking up this shipment and are not the addressee you will also be required to provide the tracking number." She refused to even look at the email and acted very rude and unreasonable. If I were the owner of this branch I would heed all of the negative reviews here on Yelp and get some workers with at least a little logic/customer service skills. Very disappointing. read more

This is the third time that I have gone to this store and encountered a rude staff member. I thought that third time might be a charm but no such luck. On the first occasion, the store manager became upset with me because my Amazon return did not require a box/label for return. I showed him my email stating no box, no label and he muttered something under his breath. A second time I went to drop off a different return with a QR code and another woman told me quite rudely that I needed a box/label . I was frustrated and showed her the QR code with the instructions from my email saying that I didn't need a box or label. I didn't understand the disconnect. They blamed Amazon. I can understand their frustration with Amazon but they have been rude with there interactions on several occasions. I go to the UPS store quite often to send various items through Mercari and other businesses. Their customer service skills are lacking. I have gone back hoping for a better experience. However, I think I will go out of my way next time to another UPS where the staff is friendlier. read more

I have rented a PO Box here since 2009. I was great and service was great. But when this new owner bought the place, service is so poor. All of a sudden, price for a rental sky rocketed, They charge $360 a year and about $250 every 6 months. I called different UPS Stores and they are only charging $250 per year. If I could give a no star to this store I kid you not, I would. I just walked in there to return a book that I rented from Amazon. I didn't tape my package all the way bc I wanted to make sure I could use that type of packaging. The gentleman who helped me (looked like he was middle eastern, I'm assuming he's the new owner) said I can use the packaging if I wanted to but he's not responsible for anything breaking. It's a damn book, what's going to break? I needed to then tape my package up but didn't think to have tape handy in my purse. I then see a roll of tape right within arms reach of me and I asked to use it and his response was, "u need to use your own tape" n walks to help another customer while I was standing there in disbelief. Are u freaking kidding? If I knew I needed my own tape, again I would have brought a roll. What kind of customer service is that??? He was so rude. Over freaking tape.!!!! April 2018 - there is a new manager who ingratiates himself to certain patrons spending too much time minutes making small talk while the only other staff person behind the counter is left to wait on other people by himself. In the past I had my packages delivered there because I work every other weekends as a medical specialty provider covering another physician in the San Fernando Valley, plus my daily hours rounding at local hospitals require me to stay late; hence it is difficult to pick up my packages before 6:30pm. The former manager knew me and I could call and ask him to hold my package over the weekend for future date pick up. Today, I was visiting my husband who is critically ill in a hospital 50 miles from the Seal Beach UPS store. My package was due for pickup by tomorrow-- yet I could not pick it up due to my turn to cover 4 Hospitals in the San Fernando Valley starting tomorrow. I called and requested to please hold my package over the weekend for pick up next week. The new manager refused - told me to pick it up or tomorrow it would be returned to sender no exceptions! So I left my critically ill spouse to drive 50 miles in order to pick up the package rather than going thru the hassle of having it returned. When I got to the store I had to wait for the new manager to finish his sycophantic schmoozing of his preferred male business customer in order to request my PO Box to be cancelled . When he asked why I was closing I told him that I was the person who called earlier in the day requesting my package be held over the weekend as my husband was critically ill in the hospital and I could not get there. The new manager lifted up my small package and pointed to the UPS return date of FRIDAY and proceeded to lecture me in a patronizing and condescending manner akin to scolding me for asking my package be held. Since the po box was my husbands business PO box, I did not know the number. He requested I give him the number to close the account. So I called my sick husband who is in the icu fighting for his life in the cell phone and put him on speaker so this manager could hear with his own ears how desperate my spouses condition was -- my spouse was so feeble and weak and confused he said with much effort "4" -- it was heart breaking -- the manager told me once he heard how desperate my spouse sounded that he would take care of it. Next he proceeded to take care of others whom he kept waiting in line while he put me through this call to my critically ill spouse -- needless to say, this manager has his priorities mixed up. He continued to be argumentative with me telling me "it's your choice if you want to close it" -- I agreed with him, of course it's my choice! I'll find a store manager who is a little more friendly, a lot more kind, and who treats all patrons with the same attention and courtesy rather than appearing to ingratiate himself to one man while others in the store (women and a man in casual shorts) wait and watch. I'll find a store with a manager who can think outside the box and who steps up to help his customers when they are in crisis who call in requesting a simple courtesy and consideration. It's not like my small package was a large box taking up limited floor space. This new manager behaved like a jerk. He held up my package and kept pointing to the "pick up by Friday" Language while lecturing me "these are the rules" -- as if I didn't know this -- hello manager that is why I called and asked you not to return it? When I told him he has the power as manager to respect the priority rule of customer service over his rule -- well he held up my box again pointing to the pick up by Friday date again -- I told him " why don't you hold it up higher so everyone in the store can see the rules and repeat it again since some of us may not have understood the first 5 times he pointed and lectured -- and guess what ... yep he did ! I told him that would make a great photo op for YELP. He then went and got a letter on official UPS stationary from corporate explaining to managers that people should pick up their packages on time or pay a storage fee. Yet he never offered me to hold it and pay a fee which I would have paid -- strange encounter. read more

My first visit here. Staff are not outwardly gregarious but are very business like and helpful. I had to ship a bike wheel with an electric motor in the hub back to the factory for some repair work. Needless to say, it was an usual shape for packing and required some ingenuity on the part of the staff to find a box that would fit. Also, since they charge for packing based on the box size, the staff went out of their way to find the cheapest package to use. This required me to remove the tire and tube to save about $10. They got the tools and then helped to remove the tire//tube for shipping in a smaller carton, just to help me save a few dollars, without me even asking for that kind of help. I noticed that while they were helping me, others came in to the store and were also promptly assisted. Excellent customer service and customer orientation. read more
