I visited this FedEx location for the first time earlier this week on Tuesday, 4/28 at around 7:00 PM for the first time. At first, I couldn't tell why there were so many negative Yelp reviews, but quickly understood why. When I walked in, there were no other customers, yet I wasn't greeted.. which I mean is fine, not a big deal. I had a simple package drop-off that just needed to be scanned. Typically, I prefer staff to assist with scanning and printing a receipt just in case I mess something up on my end. However, despite the store being empty, the staff member looked at me and asked if I could do them a favor and scan the package myself and pointed at the self drop off. Unfortunately, that didn't sit well with me. I don't mind doing it myself, and thankfully, it wasn't difficult, but I didn't come in just to be automatically dismissed, and not really receive much assistance at all. When I left, there was no friendly good bye or anything as well. I left with a bad taste in my mouth, and unfortunately, I will not be back. FedEx, I think you can do better. read more

This was my first time at this Fedex location and I absolutely WILL be back. This location is much further than my home location of Lakewood, but I would rather drive the extra miles to come here because the customer service was beyond phenomenal. The evening that I went, I encountered two gentlemen one by the name of Rick, the other young man I don't quite remember his name, but they were very pleasant, very helpful, very informative. I had a very bad encounter with the associates at the Lakewood location so I decided to drive a little further in stumbled upon this location and this is the location that I will be returning to customer service was impeccable. We went right before closing time. The two gentlemen could've turned us away for the service we wanted it (lamination), but they did not. They decided to help and went above and beyond for me and my father and I am VERY grateful! read more

Customers make sure to look at every detail when verifying address for delivery. The FedEx worker used my phone to enter address in the system and put a 4 instead of a 7 and my package was delivered to the wrong address. I talked to the manager andhe looked at camera footage and apparently I verified by clicking the information was correct. Also, he explained the system updated the zip code when the address was entered incorrectly. I thought initially that the worker made two mistakes with the address and zip code because both were incorrect. The manager explained my $58.76 only covered damage not lost package or in this case wrong address delivered. $300 basket for a wonderful lady who has nonprofits helping communities with housing, kids back to school supplies and local police department. Every time I visited the store or called, I had excellent costumer service and have been giving great information/advice. I needed a banner done for a very important client. Ria gave me great details, took the time to show me their book with different materials swatches. Must confess, their website was not as informative, which to me is not big deal as I love interacting with people. She even gave me different prices and never felt pressured. Literally, staples lost my business (even tho they are closer to my place) thanks to all the info Ria gave me and how great her customer service is. My client wanted me to do something that my program was not capable of doing, so I called up. Jason was very informative over the phone and explained to me that sometimes even tho we have the same program, the versions might be different and that can affect my design. Totally making sense. So I went to the store and that is when Rick took the wheel and totally helped me out like a rockstar. I usually like working with one person (it's a bit easier for me). He assured me he will take care of it, and he really did that!! He responded fast, colleagues related messages to him perfectly as well. I had to put together 40ish sheets of already printed sheets of paper. I had no clue what would be best because I didn't know what was available. I got there, was greeted by BIANCA. She's a young lady and extremely knowledgeable. She listened to everything I needed as I did not know what I wanted. Bianca made a couple suggestions and we came up with a perfect solution. She took my paperwork and I figured I'd have to come back in a couple days to get it. Within 10 minutes Bianca had beautifully set up a spiral binder with a red (pretty) back and a clear cover all for less than $15.00 and that included a packet of dividers! I asked them to print me some shipping labels for my new business and they deny printing out the sticky ones and only want to give me the paper ones. Say they are running out because of ME. I even pay them the last two times for only 50 labels in total! Thats it just 50. I come back today and they deny helping me print shipping labels. My husband went in to ship a lag pole. The store was empty, no other customers. There were 3 employees who all greeted him and each said they'd be with him shortly. Apparently they needed 3 employees to figure out for over 5 minutes what needed to be done on a computer. Finally, the stubbier employee assists my husband. He tells the employee that he needed to ship the lag pole. My husband barely even finished his sentence when the worker abruptly cut him off and said "No we can't ship that! Nothing over 120 inches". My husband said "It's not over 120 inches". He said "No. You have to take it here" and shows my husband the address to FedEx in Signal Hill. My husband goes to that location and the lag pole measured at 103 inches. Will never ever come to this location again. Apparently people here don't want to do their job. Glad we went to the Signal Hill location. Tells me with that kind of attitude, we would've spent the $582 to ship the product and it probably would not have gotten to the location on time! read more

I'd like to shout out Ria who was amazingly helpful to me today with my error in a file I sent for print. In a panic (my panic-my error) she was calm and resolved it manually. Somehow my print when sent was wrong and parts of words were missing. She quickly resolved the issue and was able to reprint in minutes. I cannot appreciate this more. read more

There is an employee who works at this establishment named Mercy and she is by far the nastiest customer service employee I've ever encountered. I work and attend California State University Long Beach and since this location is so close, I frequent this location to print assignments, work documents, etc. and EVERY time I've gone to get a document printed that I emailed to the store, she's been rude. I don't know if it's because I'm African American or if she knows someone who looks like me who has done her wrong in the past, but she is awful at the customer service part of her job. I hope FedEx considers having her take some trainings to help her grow in what she lacks. Really appreciated the service I received today from Jason, the Assistant Manager. I was returning an item and realized the merchant required the item fit into a smaller-sized package for free return. Although it took extra time and effort, Jason took the time to help fit my item in the specified bag so I wouldn't have to pay $10 for a box. This FedEx office is my favorite go to FedEx office in all of the Long Beach area. They have always done me right for as long as I have been coming to them while living in Long Beach for the past 5 years. There are many names I wish I could accurately remember: from Chanelle to Destiny, to Rick, John on the night shift, and a number of others who have always been super helpful. I don't think they will ever go 24 hours again and probably not necessary. The pandemic has made everybody super efficient online and who needs to work as an employee after 11 PM anyway? Just wake up early and go get your work printed by 6 AM. - That Is the one request I would have. Is that they open earlier so that work can be printed out before the start of the work or school day. Avoid this place at all costs. Shipped a smartphone to a relative and the box came but nothing was in it. Had to file a theft report with the Long Beach Police Department as the phone never turned up and company lowballed me a replacement. Don't trust folks there. Use UPS instead. read more

God forbid your scanner breaks down and have to go to FedEx.... not only they don't have a feeder for their scanner to do it yourself, but if you ask them to scan to file onto your usb, it costs $1 per page. Your $5 load on your card will be gone right before you finish even scanning ten pages onto their self serve comps and if you scan to file it will costs you at least $10 to scan ten pages plus tax. Also, be informed that faxing costs almost $2 per page!!! Be careful not to load too much money on your FedEx card as it is only used for printing, faxing and self served comps. You cannot use it to ship or pay something via their register. At least that's what I've been told when I tried using the balance of my card to pay for something in the register. Other than that, the parking is plentiful and this place is open 24/7 so it's good when printing a page or two. Staff are also nice and helpful unlike the one on 7th and PCH. read more

I understand "Social Distancing" but, does that mean Lack of Customer Service is acceptable because of Covid-19? The staff at this Fed Ex location made me feel like I was bothering them today. I had on a mask and gloves, There were three people working and I was the only one in there, but I stood in line for 5minutes while they talked amongst themselves, I finally asked if I could send something Fed Ex today? When one of them finally came over to help me, she didn't say Hello or apologize for leaving me waiting. I wouldn't have went in there if I didn't really need to send something Fed ex today. Poor customer service. No customers when I walk in. Employee sitting behind counter tells me to go to another counter to be helped. I stand at other counter watching two employees talking, no acknowledgement. While I'm waiting another person walks in with a package. Lady comes to my counter and says she can help me at another counter. I walk over and she tells me she's going to help the guy with the package (despite he was after me) because his is "quick". I did not okay this but she was off helping him She finally gets to me. I just want to fedx a letter overnight. She talks a mile a minute. She does not acknowledge me yet. Nor after I was done. I just experienced horrible service from an assistant manager named Jason. I have been coming to this FedEx to pick-up packages for over five years. Each time had been simple and efficient, and everybody had been very polite, until I met Jason. Jason is a fairly unintelligent sort, who likes to make problems for himself. I came in as usual and gave him my driver's license, which except for Jason would result in me getting my package. Instead, Jason after confirming my identity, asked me for the last four digits of my tracking number. I told him I do not have it, and nobody had ever required it before. I told you have a driver's license, so you know who I am, can I have my package. He wanted to make an issue. The funny thing was is he tried to prove to me that the procedure included me proving a tracking number in order for me to be given my package, but when he pulled out the procedure it said the first step was to very with the customer their I.D. It said nothing about requiring a tracking number. Jason is a little insignificant person, who wants power so the wants to demand tracking numbers even when it was not part of the process. Finally, I just took the package without giving him a tracking number because I did not have it, and yelled at me to "F" off so all the customers could here. I can't believe such a low functioning person is in charge of that store. Do better. read more

It took me 3 trips to get my business cards done because the woman who set up my print order did not want to do it 30 min before closing, set it up incorrectly so the cards came out smaller than standard business cards and the quality of paper had only one option instead of the 3 on the website. The quality of the finished business cards ended up being thinner than I wanted and I was charged a higher price than I was quoted when I placed the order. I compared my cards to others I received at a conference a few days later and mine were the thinnest, cheapest quality and not professional looking. Not worth the 3 trips it took to get them done. I entered the store at 8:50, they closed at 9pm. Just before 9pm a woman said 'i am fine to finish up packing my things', so i felt pretty welcome. Even so, I hurried frantically to finish up what I was doing, and at exactly 9:05pm i walked up to the counter. A roughly 30-40 year old short white male said I can't send off my 4 packages, since the system is now closed. I thought it was going to be ok to still ship off, since i was already inside at 8:50 and i was buying numerous envelopes and a $20 bubble wrap. I said I come here all the time and am a frequent customer, which I am (2-3 x per month). The man said 'that doesn't matter'. I thought that was a very rude, demeaning thing to say to me.. it started to become very clear that this man had a 'them vs us' mentality as far as employees vs the customers.. just because it was 9:05 and they had just closed. I was IN HIS WAY, big time. Not welcome there anymore. Instead of just ringing me up and giving me the tracking #'s I needed, he proceeded to make it seem like it was some big hassle to even ring me up to pay for the envelopes I used, sighing and huffing and puffing and making sure I could hear it and felt bad. This male employee was cold and impersonal to me, didn't say 'have a good night', stared me down like I was a major problem, saying things like 'we've been open since 8am, you could have come then, ya know' and all this weird, awkward passive aggressive stuff. Bummer. I liked this location before this. I will never go here again and in fact will switch all of my shipping needs over to USPS and/or UPS from here on out. This guy representing the face of FedEx was a huge disappointment.. as I go out of my way to support FedEx 90% due to aspects like the service I receive usually being decent/positive. This angry-at-the-world, hating of his personal life douche-bag with the slicked back hair and the napoleon complex just changed it all for me in one horrible interaction at this LB location on Palo Verde. He should be fired for treating me and others like this. It's not his personally owned company, he's just clocked in and should be proactively helpful to the customers, wether it's 9pm or 9:05pm. I don't care if you've have a long day.. maybe mine was longer. Last I checked, you provide a service, and you don't get to decide wether to help me or not for any personal reason or because you're emotional, or because you can't be patient for another 5 minutes to help out a guy with his hands full. Mine were very full and that was the only time I could make it down to the store. I now have to drive elsewhere and wait in another line to send off my things because of this idiot. The older lady at the counter gave me such a hard time and tried to come up with every excuse to not ship my box. She had a bad attitude and was arrogant from the moment she opened her mouth and seemed to hate her job. Horrible customer service! I finally said screw it, I don't have time for this crap and went to the FedEx office on 7th Street and they were totally cool and shipped my box with no problems and with great customer service. I drop in once in a while nowadays since I own a computer and printer! Back in the early 90' we had to print flyers for house parties to promote events! We use to go to Kinkos late night at about 2:00 AM or so (since they use to operate 24/7) and we would get these flyers printed by an employee who would print us posters and all kinds of flyer sizes! It was great! He would throw in a few extra prints! Wink wink..... Real nice employee never knew his name, but thanks man where ever you are and may God bless you. This just happened moments ago. I've been coming here for years doing printing/shipping for my employer. I've always had excellent service. I would recommend this store to anyone. This review is for a single person... I just finished doing a $100+ run on one of the printers. I needed bags to put the prints in. They were having trouble finding the squ and basically gave them to me for being a valued customer for all the thousands I've given them over the years. Awesome! I get through around two thirds of the bags and the rest are warped. I can't put my fresh prints in them or they'll become warped as well. No prob, I'll just exchange them. I go up to the counter and there is, I'm guessing a manager since she was in plain clothes, available to help. (Green shirt, glasses, ponytail.) I explain the bags are warped and would like to exchange them. She asks for a receipt! What? Yeah, I stole them from behind the counter somehow and am trying to scam 70 cents out of them, muahahaha! I explain that they had been given to me. She exclaims, well they should have charged you! Ok, wow. I tell her that it's ok, I'm willing to pay for them, I got the dough. She brings me the bags and I lay a dollar bill on the counter and tell her she can keep the change. What's with the attitude? Demanding a receipt for 10 cent bags?
