Just thought I would put a good review in for the staff working there at this UPS store. I didn't get their names but it was two gentlemen working. Both were very helpful, this was my first time visiting a UPS store and needing help with packing and shipping a gift. I would normally pack it my self and send it to the post office but I had no idea how to package this gift. These guys were awesome in helping me out. While I was waiting, I noticed that they greeted their customers and also seem to remember their customers and ask them about their kids or mom or job. That was nice to see. Just great service here. Avoid this store at all cost! The employees rip off their customers! The person that helped me today always had a bad attitude! If you ask him something, it seems that you're bothering him! It's your job! I need 4 black and white copies on regular 8.5x11 paper. I went in there trying to use my UBS flash drive. There was no power to the copier and the copier had a thick layer of dust! I went up to the counter and I told him what happened. The employee told me that the self-service kiosk self-service has no female ubs?! I don't think so, flash drives are what people use to store digital information. He comes back and the total cost for 4 black copies was $3.68! I asked what's the $3.68 for? Since I had to input it myself and the copier has no usb input... I had to charge you a fee! I told him that bullshit and that machine has a usb, all these UPS Stores have copiers with ubs input! The only thing he had to say was: You don't have to pay for it... I'm in a hurry and I had a deadline to turn in. My printer went out and didn't want to spend anymore time then given to solve the issue. He didn't say, I'll correct or anything... I said this falls on you guys cause your setting up your store where your over charging your customers! He keep repeating the same comment. You don't have to pay for it... I told him.. I'll never come back and I'll make sure that UPS corporation knows what your doing.... Bottom line, if the self-help kiosk was out of operation or I had issues with the system. a few months ago I went into this store to ship something (I can't even remember what it was anymore) anyway, I walk in and both 'attendants' were young, 20 somethings who basically ignored me at first, one was stacking boxes and the other was watching youtube videos. The box stacker finally came over to help (and in all fairness he did apologize for the delay) but I couldn't help but notice the youtuber over there in the corner appearring somewhat annoyed that I came in for service and pulled his 'bro' away from him...I didn't mention anything at the time because well, they now had something of mine along with my address and at the end of the day I don't need any unnecessary drama. Anyway I left and the package was delivered, no problem. Anyway fast forward I returned to this location (about a couple days after Xmas) only because it was on my way and my regular location (UPS store on El Cajon blvd, La Mesa) would have been waaaay out of my way. Anyway, this time I walk in and there's two new guys (no surprises there) and this time (I kid you not): one of the new guys is over in the corner on the same computer watching youtube! LOL...but HERE's the kicker: the other guy who although was at the register, never said one word during the entire transaction from start to finish! Not one word! No 'hello', no 'can I help you', no 'will that be all'...when i finally asked him if I could see the ship to address he finally said 'it's at the top of the paper'... I said oh,..ok, and thanked him...and again nothing, no good bye, no 'thank you', no 'have a good day' or anything...I was floored..I can't think in the 59 years I've been living no one has ever 'not' said anything when I spent my hard earned money in their establishment (well maybe fast food places, but that's understandable because most fast food places are miserable places to begin with)...and no, he wasn't deaf or mute because he communicated with his 'bro' while I was there... But again, that's just ONE UPS location out of many I've gone to. I really wanted to give that location the benefit of a doubt, but unfortunately that's my last visit to that store. I gave it two stars because the package was delivered without delay or damage. P.S. If employees are on break and want to watch youtube or whatever, hey no problem, I do it myself, just how about putting up a partition or divider so it doesn't give the impression they're over there f'in off? ...again, just a suggestion. read more

RUDE! I keep getting fax calls from 619 697-0641 on my personal phone. I look it up and find it belongs to this store. I understand they are trying to fax to a number given to them by a customer. I call the store, a younger male answers, and I briefly explain it, trying to do them a favor. I explain it and CLICK! They hang up. RUDE!! I went to store to mail some packages and a gentleman by the name of Tony was the only person there. Even though, I know that he had a dozen eyes staring at him, he was calm, efficient (he was multitasking), friendly and acknowledged those of us waiting. The other thing I liked was that he was wearing his UPS shirt, making him look more professional. I love this type of business associate, seems to make my day a bit less stressful. Thanks, Tony! I went to this store on 3/27/18. I sent two vases abt. 22" tall 6" diameter. The agent did not speak one word to me, re: value, price of shipment or how it was to be shipped. Agent put matching vases in separate boxes, this of course doubled the entire price of the shipment to $175.00. I saw the agent's eyes and I knew he was ripping me off I am 71 years old, you can tell, when they avoid eye contact, its obvious. I believe in my heart, this young man over packed and over charged with full knowledge of what he was doing. I spoke to the manager, he is no better, I really don't know if over pricing is a store policy, or you have rogue agent, but any any event the store is responsible for gouging the price. I had a buyer from the east coast request a package bought on Wednesday before Christmas be delivered by Friday. I was just in here with my fiance to return our ATT Uverse modem. We gave the guy our account number and when my fiance's name came up, the guy looked at him, with a "WTF" look and said "does your name have any meaning?" my fiance says "no", then he says "was your mom mad at you?". This was the rudest thing i have ever heard. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER come back to this store even though it is right down the street from my house. I would rather drive to a different town if i had to in order to deal with UPS. I will be calling and speaking with a manager, and if i get nowhere i will be contacting the owner. "We went the UPS store to scan a art sheet to email unfortunately I don´t have a scanner. I usually use the UPS store and Clairemont and never have any issues. When we arrived we had to wait more than 20 minutes according to David at the store he had to reboot the system but both of them (David & Andy) didn't really seem to know much about how anything was supposed to work. Finally when they said it was done and comes the time to pay David says $7.00!! 7.00 for one Black & White scan of a Letter size sent to a email, not even anything printed?? It's sad the place had computers from the nineties when they charge a fortune for that kind of small service. Then obviously I said I wouldn't pay that crazy expensive amount for a scan if he just mentioned before, and he answers: "Bro..." then everything goes sideways, I'm a customer and the person that is supposed to attend me is calling me "bro" as if we were in the street hanging out? He says no way I'm getting my money back and very cynically says that I didn't even pay for it, that was my girlfriend!! Not a single amount of respect or education or even costumer service training... And he had the nerve to warn me about my language!!? I try to speak to Andy the other guy there, He says that he's the person in charge and he invites me to leave the store with a very cynical smile and total lack of respect again and threatens to call the police!!?? I say, ok, call the police. Then and after me getting very nasty and being completely disrespected their only argument was that the job was done and no money back that I can come tomorrow and talk to the owner... After all of this when I get home I hadn't receive any email from UPS or them, so they hadn´t done the job correctly. I got delayed in my delivery and I had to spend gas going to another place and paying again. I'm coming to get my money back and talk to the owner about all of this, I don't want anybody else to have to suffer this kind of aggravation and completely unprofessional service. Service here is generally slow. Also, on multiple occasions I have been here first thing (8AM) when the store is supposed to and they are not open. I see employees arrive at the published opening time, and then it takes them 15 min to open the store. This is just unacceptable. If you need shipping supplies go elsewhere. This place has very little. You are better served going to the Albertsons next door, and that is not saying much. In all, this place can barely receive the items you want to ship in a timer manner when it is supposed to do so much more (i.e. A print shop - ha). Save the wait time and go somewhere else. This place is convenient if you are in Spring Valley, but service can be really slow. There seems to be no reason for the slowness either. On one occasion I ended up leaving this location to go to the other SV location where you can get in and out quickly. read more

I used this location to have 2 day delivery for Saturday delivery for my packages from San Diego to Arizona. My packages were missorted and were damaged. One was sent to Ontario and another to Kentucky while the last sat in an airplane hanger in Phoenix. My niece had to pick up the packages at the local UPS center in Arizona to ensure they got to her on TUESDAY! I paid over $200 for my niece's packages to be damaged and not even make it to her doorstep. I was then "denied" the full refund because they delivered her package! Ruined her birthday and totally ensured I will use FEDEX now and forever. So disappointed in their mistake and lack of concern for damaging my items. I will never use UPS again in the future and neither should you. read more

Being handicapped and standing in line for 40 min. I happened to take a chance and stop by earlier this week and they hired a new employee David Hill. I give this store only one star due to several problems i have had. most of the sales associates are nice..but ever heard of the saying "one apple spoils the bunch"? well i had some important letters to go out- one to the Mexican embassy. I paid for the postage and left it in the hands of one of the clerks. He was on his phone the whole time texting. He acted like it was a bother to help me. This letter came back with only one stamp on it..(returned to me because it didn't have enough postage) On another date i went to mail out my parents' anniversary card and i didn't have enough money for postage so i went to my car..as i gave the envelope to the same clerk as i had before (BIG MISTAKE) i asked him to please put a piece of tape on the back since i wasn't all the way sealed. i came back from my car w/the money to pay for the postage and he said he would take care of it. (i'm sure he did)..my parents' NEVER got the card which also had a gift card in it. I went to the store the following week to ask about what is going on w/the card and the same guy said it got "lost in the system"..(i have actually only experienced this sending things overseas)..Anyways, hopefully this UPS store will watch out for their customers cause they lost me for sure. read more
