I rarely write Yelp reviews, but had to write a positive one about this UPS location after my experience there tonight. I had an Amazon return drop-off and tried to stop by another location on my way home from work. The first store (Mass Ave NW in Chinatown) advertised online that they were open until 8 pm, so I was surprised to find the store dark and locked up at 7:45 pm. Frustrated, I continued home to Navy Yard and was surprised to see that a UPS store had just opened up near me. I figured that this location also had to be closed, but saw a few people inside so I decided I'd just go see. The owner of this location was still working after having closed the store at 7 pm and immediately waved me in. He was so friendly and wonderful and took care of my drop-off over an hour after store closing. I am so excited to have this UPS store in my neighborhood and can't speak highly enough of the owner and his staff! read more

Stopped by this location today to ship Christmas gifts. The service was quick, in and out ! They even had free tape for me use.

I was an out of town visitor, who ordered a package to be delivered here. The staff and the manager were helpful to me looking for the postal service package from Amazon. Honestly, I don't know who the negligent party was, if it was the postal service, or Amazon tracking, or not. This was during the noted postal service backlogs in Oct., so who knows. I did get the other package that was sent to the same location via regular postal service that wasn't from Amazon. That package did arrive at this UPS store and was held for me. The UPS store was helpful. They responded each time I contacted them and offered to handle a return if the package showed up. As for future packages on the road, I probably won't send Amazon orders this way, but to be fair, this is the first Amazon package ever, in many years, that I haven't gotten. And Amazon returned my money. Perhaps the product did turn up at some postal service facility and was returned to the company. Overall, this UPS location had good service for me. On another subject, I read another reviewer who talked about running out ink at home. Get an Epson eco-printer. For a small printer, $200 (thus not a laser-printer), I print hundreds of pages of full text for book publishing drafts and pay like a half a penny per page. It's so cheap I don't even remember the exact cost after I calculated it. I'm only on my third $12 black ink refill after two years. I haven't even refilled the color yet, although I set it for black ink mostly. read more

Unbelievable! I HIGHLY recommend this UPS. These employees are so knowledgeable and above all they take pride in what they do. They are extremely efficient and beyond that very kind humans. Tamika helped me notarize something and later that night I received an envelope at the front desk of my building ... it was my drivers license I left there by accident and she made it a pint to drop it off for me!!!!! I had two great experiences at this UPS Store location and just had to share how professional and thoughtful the staff were as I was navigating a rushed passport situation. My two year old (who was quite cranky after her nap) took her photos here and the staff was absolutely wonderful with her. We got the shots we needed in seconds. I was also guided step by step with perfect advice to get a rushed passport in 24 hours for my child. I drove to this location as I had a few Amazon returns and a mailing request for a weighty med-large box and the store nearest to my home was too small. I didn't want to hold other customers up with needing to wait outside in the heat while I was being serviced, with COVID measures still being in place. That said, I drove the extra mile and was so glad I did. Not only was the store much larger, it was brighter, cleaner, and staffed with two very friendly employees! I was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile by Arnika who was a gem! She was extremely patient as I looked up 3 separate return tracking labels and a mailing addresses, not to mention the couple times I interrupted her to correct the address I'd misquoted her. Arnika was equally as patient as I placed a call to my daughter to confirm she wanted to pay the quoted shipping cost on the larger package I was mailing for her. Not once did Arnika respond with exasperation or annoyance. I was so thankful for her knowledge, kindness, and professionalism. Needless to say, I will ALWAYS drive the extra mile to come to this location. Absolute best shipping store I've ever dealt with. The whole team from the owner down are all incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. They helped me with a complicated international shipment, continued to check on the status when it got held up overseas, and they went above and beyond to make sure it was handled. There were several points they could have said "you're all set" but they weren't satisfied and continued to dig to make sure the people overseas had all the info they needed to resolve the issue. And even when it was over with, they continued talking with the international team to see if there was anything they could have done different to prevent the issue, so they could improve their store. I should say, they said up front I should include the phone number of the recipient, but I didn't have it and said go ahead with the shipment anyway. So it was my own fault and they still did tons of work to make sure it was settled...over a week AFTER I'd paid the bill, all the following up was done with no extra fees, just their own pride in getting the job done. read more

I was surprised to find out a ups store opened up around the corner from me this week, how convenient for the holidays! I had a chance to meet with the owners who helped me find the right size box to ship to my nephew (as I was using the wrong size, and it would've cost more) and he assisted me with making sure the package will get there before Christmas as it's due to arrive tomorrow 12/20!
