This doesn't deserves any stars but we know that's not an option on yelp. I walked out of the Whittier location, in the quad, and I need to share how horrible this experience was. I walked into this location and noticed a women standing at the counter with a box to ship out and I heard a guy yell from the back "just leave it there". The women shrugged her shoulders and left her box there and walked out. I don't know the details of what happened before I walked in but I thought that was odd that the employee yelled from the back rather than going to the counter. He came out to the front and he had a very serious face, he didn't greet with a welcome or how can I help you, he actually didn't say a word. So I knew this guy was probably in a bad mood and I just needed to hurry up so, I asked him for some tape so that I can seal up my box, he said "put it here" and he slammed his hand on the scale. So I placed my box on the scale and he asked me for the paperwork (it was an amazon return and I had printed the instructions and bar code). After he handed me back the paper he began taping the box (which I had asked for tape in the beginning so that I can do it myself because I was going to place the paperwork in the box myself). As he was taping I told him that the paper was to go in the box. That was a huge mistake for me to say because he flipped out. I was shocked at his dramatic reaction to a simple statement. He responded with, "why didn't you tell me that before you asked me to tape up your box?" I said "I didn't ask you to tape up my box", he said "yes, you did, you came in here demanding that I tape up your box!" I was shocked that he said that because that was a humongous lie and I couldn't tell if he was seriously believing his lie or if he was really just wanting to lie to cause trouble. I was so shocked by his lie and his outburst of anger I said, "no, you told me to place my box down and you asked for my paperwork". He was arguing with me over that. I asked him if he was okay because he seemed like he was having a bad day. I hoped that me asking him that would let him know I was concerned for him and hopefully defuse his anger a little bit. Apparently that set him off instead and he started to go off on me saying how it was me and that I went in there demanding and crazy other nonsense. None of it was making sense and the bad behavior he was accusing me of was the bad behavior he actually had toward me. He grabbed my box then he started to tape up the box again then he said don't ever come to this location (which I don't plan to and never went to before. The one I usually go to has employees with healthy and safe work ethic). I knew based on his outburst of anger and unprofessional service that he was not well mentally. He didn't have a name tag on to identify him but he was older. He didn't care who was around at the end of his outburst because by the time he caused a ruckus and was going off on me another employee came out and another customer had walked in. The other employee looked younger than this rude man and he looked a little scared of this man yelling. I couldn't wrap my mind around so many things being said by him in that moment, I was shocked at how he treated me. I couldn't help but notice how he treated the customer who came in after me, who happened to be a male. He was kind and friendly to him. I walked out shocked. I immediately tried to call a corporate but they just referred me to email. I was disappointed with that experience, I felt sorry for the future customers and left concerned for his fellow coworkers. This man needs to be dealt with and he needs to be checked for some mental instability, he is not okay. (This experience was in 2020, so hopefully he has changed or is no longer working there). read more

After waiting 40 minutes to send a package they tell us they can't print anything. When I asked when it would be fixed the guy behind the counter said, I don't know I'm not God. The girl behind the counter was REALLY rude. She said we could go somewhere else but all the printers were down. I asked if Fedex and the post office were down as well and she replied "I don't know, I don't go to the post office. I don't even know where one is." Will NEVER use UPS again. It was EXTREEEEMELY disappointing that the Whittier location (off of Painter in the Whittier Quad) was CLOSED EARLY on Christmas Eve. Of all days of the year to close early this was the most inconsiderate, selfish, and worst day to close early. With the use of online shopping and expecting packages to arrive to be given as Christmas gifts, it should have been the most important day to be open late. Sadly several customers and families, including myself, were disappointed to find this location closed at 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve. WHO CLOSES EARLY ON CHRISTMAS EVE, when deliveries are expected????? I can understand the interest for the staff to be with their families and/or have Christmas preparations for themselves.... but not at the cost of your customers. This clearly gave the message to many that customers DO NOT COME FIRST. read more

I try to do most of my shipping through the post office because it's closer to home and honestly, it's less expensive. However, the post office has major faults when it comes to customer service so on more recent occasions I've gone to the UPS store and had the pleasure of working with Bill. To be honest, I went in today and I was upset, it's the holiday season and I'm celebrating alone because my family is so spread out and my husband is overseas... I maintained my emotions for the beginning part of this visit to UPS, and Bill was being helpful and respectful, even when I lost control of my emotions and started to get a little upset. It literally had nothing to do with the UPS or Bill but I took it out on him and I wanted to apologize because he didn't deserve the treatment I gave to him. This store has had some of the same employees for a very long time, and I can see why. Even when I lost control of my emotions, Bill was able to maintain his and treat me like I had done nothing wrong. So, thank you Bill and the rest of the team at the store.
