I went to the UPS Store in Winnetka this morning since UPS stores advertise that they provide Notary services. I informed the female employee that I needed notary service, she quickly dismissed me by telling me that she forgot her Notary book. Wow, UPS Store that was very unprofessional. Quick and easy. Get a quick quote. Fast service is all I really need. However, I would never ship my own packaging every again. Extremely pricey. Pretty difficult to use their online pricing quote too. Too much of a hassle. I would avoid it if you can. Mindy is Fantastic !!! The best service that anyone can expect. It was raining (the truth), Ms Mindy saw me carrying a heavy package, she quickly went to open the front door for me....frankly, this has NEVER happened to me , nor have i seen someone do this ...old time service !!!! Why isn't ZERO stars an option? That is what the Customer Service at this so called UPS Store deserves. I went there to ship a package international and the woman repeatedly asked me to put the box on the scale. I kept telling her, this is not the box I want to ship. She was getting annoyed that I refused to put the box on the scale. I kept saying, this is NOT the box I want to ship. She also insisted they don't have the paperwork/forms to send packages international. She said I was supposed to have printed out labels before coming to their UPS Store. WTF! She told me to go to another UPS Store for international forms. She also suggested going to the Post Office because UPS would be too expensive. It's people like her, that give UPS and Customer Service a bad reputation. read more

They disobey the UPS pricing policy and overcharge people with bad attitude. The worst customer service I have ever seen. I was ordering from online system and it didn't work for this store and customer care representative helped me. He verified the pricing but when I went into the actual store they overcharged me more than 100% of listing price. When I showed them screenshot of the actual bill and conversation with representative they claimed that they are not an actual UPS store and because they are franchisee they can charge however they want.. If the sign says you close at 6:30, then that's when you should close. Got off work, arrived at 6:24 to get a package out tonight and found the gates were down, door was locked, lights had just been turned off. Apparently attendant saw me and hit the lights and ran to the back. I leave in my car, she comes back toward the front area. Horrible. read more

Francis the manager is VERY rude. After my encounter with her this morning I called to complain and I was shocked to find out she is the manager of the store! Very disappointing and concerning. I also see multiple complaints on yelp about the same issue. Their fingerprint Livescan person didn't put the reason for live-scan and it was rejected. This caused my California License to be delayed costing me lots of money and time wasted to go get the fingerprint redone. After I went back to them and asked them to redo the fingerprint they said that they need a resubmission number (WHICH IS NOT TRUE) and they pretty much sent me off to go contact FBI for that number. HOWEVER THEY WERE WRONG. After another week and half of wasting my time I was told by another location that the number needed for resubmission was the initial number that this store gave for the first fingerprint. The personel is very friendly but they are not professionals and they play with people's lives. read more

My package was supposed to be at my client's location in Ohio. However, when I tracked the package and its present location was not being updated. Later that week my package was delivered back to my office and not to the clients address. I had to take it back to the UPS store and have them ship it again. So my package ended up being late and my time was wasted. I feel they should have compensated me for the mixup, wasting my time, gas, and delivery delay. All I got was a empty sorry, we will attempt it again. read more

Went in to pick up a package for a job I was working and was told they would not release it unless I paid a $5 "holding fee." That's a BS greed cash grab that no other ups store charges. UPS corporate really should refine their rules for franchisees because they seem to think they can just do whatever. They want and treat people poorly. read more

Service has generally been fine at this UPS location. No problems with dropping off packages etc. The girl who works here is SUPER nice, same for most of the gentlemen. Reviewed my original review and realized it was being a little crybaby. These guys deserve 5 stars for customer service. If I can put a negative number I would. This place absolutely sucks balls! They have 1 great guy who does great customer service (the scary looking, pierced guy with a crazy beard!) But everyone else could care less. They don't care about your mail. They don't care about your business. Every time I walk in it's like I'm bothering them. I made the mistake of signing up for their mailbox services and was stuck until my contract expired. I will never go back. the manager is the worse one of all. These people are clueless! I will never step foot in this store again! On two different occasions ( more then a year apart) they removed a brand new item from its factory packaging, threw away the packaging and then returned the item to the retail online store I bought it from and ruined my chance of a refund both times. Went there to ship a box weighing over 100 lbs. After asking what the price difference would be between using my account from home versus shipping from the store, the lady working there names Francis as she said, became extremely rude. She couldn't answer my questions regarding my account and I said "looks like you don't know anything." She said "okay so you have to leave the store because you're humiliating me." I said "just please ship my package, I don't want to carry it back home." She said "I don't want your business, I am the manager, I can refuse to serve you.
