Food is both delicious and a steal for the price. We got went for a lunch buffet. Everything there was good, the curries, biryani, etc. Very busy place!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday evening for dinner. The restaurant was empt and we were seated right away. We both shared the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala and goat biryani. Both came out really quickly, and the portion sizes were extremely generous. The staff was also incredibly attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. The only caveat being the restaurant did not play music so it was a bit quiet; otherwise the food was delicious and I would definitely come again.

Urban Grill Indian Cuisine is located off Lawrence Expressway in a plaza right across from the Wells Fargo. There are lots of parking in the lot. Newly renovated and repainted. APPS - Chicken Manchurian - Chicken 65 ENTREES - Andhra Chicken Curry - Gongura Goat Biryani - Garlic Naan The portions were surprisingly generous, and all the food was delicious. The spice level was well balanced; my mouth wasn't on fire, allowing me to enjoy every dish. We definitely had leftovers since we ordered quite a bit, but we wanted to have options and try a variety of items. My favs were the appetizers and the gongura goat biryani! The goat was tender and didn't have the gamey taste, which is a plus for me. The service was great! The waiter was very attentive and even helped me arrange the food items for photos. It seems they may have recently renovated the interior and possibly changed ownership, as they appear to be working on getting their name out there. There was a marketing coordinator present inside during our dine in. I truly enjoyed my first experience at Urban Grill and will definitely return to try more dishes. The lunch buffet is priced at $16.99, so I'm excited to check that out!

Looks like the serve yourself buffets are making a comeback! This place has the buffet every day for lunch and their GRAND dinner buffet on Friday/Saturday/Sundays. We tried a bit of everything, but the curries and little samosas were my favorite! Most of the dishes have a nice spice level, but it was so good, I couldn't stop eating no matter how much my mouth was on fire lol. Lunch Buffet $19.99 Dinner Buffet $24.99 The buffet included a variety of options: * Full Salad Bar * Hot Soup of the Day * (6) Signature Biryanis * (10) Vegetarian Entrees * (10) Non-Vegetarian Entrees * (4) Desserts If you don't want to do the buffet, they also have a regular menu where you can order specific dishes like regular dining. We were able to ask for Garlic Naan from the regular menu that the buffet didn't have and they made it fresh!

Came here with a friend and it was quite empty on a Saturday Night. We sat towards the wall in these booths that made it feel like we had our own little section/room. I really enjoyed it, perfect for conversations! We ordered goat curry, chicken biryani, and garlic naan. We really underestimated how much food it was going to be! Everything was really good, the biryani had a really nice kick and a layer of chicken underneath the rice. Goat curry was flavorful but not greasy, which was really nice. The server was really nice and attentive, great staff!

Awesome taste across the board. The biryani was absolutely the best I've had, and the mutton curry was rich, tender, and perfectly spiced. Definitely a buffet worth going back to. Service was quick to replace naan and clean up used plates.

Need more than one stomach to try all the items

Post the pandemic it seemed like buffets wouldn't make a comeback. And while that has not been true, most buffet places now are actually on the higher price point. Most places except this one. I mean how do you get so many choices, all freshly made, all flavorful, non greasy, with naan brought to the table made to order, and two desserts. Oh and chai. All for an unbelievable $14.99 plus tax! Guys I mean come on. Everything I tried was flavorful and distinct in taste. Indo Chinese items like chilly chicken, starters like Spinach pakoras were so good. Extra points for an ultra flavorful green chutney and thick yogurt sauce (raita). It would be hard to describe each item because there were so many, but the butter chicken, chicken biryani, methi aloo were all super delish. Unlimited Chai was nice, but the desserts itself weren't life changing. Although I appreciated that they had a not too sweet sevaiya kheer because I swear if I have to look at one more uninspired rice kheer bowl at Indian restaurants. The dining space and buffet stations were clean and well organized. And staff was replenishing the food non stop. Their location and good food probably keeps them busy, and the kitchen and staff seem to keep up with the demand. The restrooms need to be cleaner, but they have two so there's a good chance you will find atleast one that's clean. Management is doing something right with this place. Gotta go back and try the other items in the buffet soon!

We saw pretty good reviews and decided to try it out. This is actually a place for parties. Ie. They have 3 separate halls of different sizes which can be booked for wedding/reception/birthdays. Idea is - you can get the food from this place. The main area for restaurant is open and large - with the ability to rearrange in any shape and form as needed. That is very cool idea. So highly recommended for such get togethers. The restaurant itself serves food to those who come just for dinner. (Owner said lunch buffet everyday has large variety and we will visit it soon to check it out) Actual food dishes we got : paneer capsicum and dal makhani was really good. Loved it. Chicken gravy was good but didn't fell like chicken pieces were cooked in it as flavors had not penetrated in chicken pieces. We asked for bread basket- one plain naan, one butter naan and one garlic naan. The naans were fresh but not soft. Almost like papad. Not a fan of it.

Came by for lunch 2/28 and checked the chicken. Guess what? IT WAS UNDERCOOKED - AGAIN. I can't even. Pointed it out the first time and was contacted by the owner due to this post. At this point, it's just incompetence to correct a very straightforward issue. I messaged the business about it being undercooked again and the owner wanted me to meet with his staff. I showed the piece as well as a second piece I picked up moments earlier with the same result. Nearly wordless, he takes my plate and I see him discussing things with two other people. We finished up and went to pay the check. The first time it happened, I paid full. The bill was charged for our party of 6 and this time, I just felt like as a business the owner had to have done something for this ridiculous issue - no, not a single accommodation for their screwup. I sarcastically referenced having been served undercooked chicken twice means nothing, but he doesn't understand what I meant. I message the same to the business and a message was relayed to discount our check 20%... but also had to pay a required 18% tip. Thank you sook much. Take my money. I'm not coming back and I will tell everyone why.

The music was really loud and I couldn't hear the conversation of the person with me so the Asian bartender helped us turn down the music a little. It wasn't until mid evening that I realized there was another bar in the back. The bartender told us the cocktails at Alter Ego were more fancy. Definitely instagramworthy! Tried two of the cocktails at Alter Ego. Overall, both have different vibes. Alter Ego is good for a more intimate dark setting date vibe. Service was pretty good at Still OG! The Asian bartender checked in several times and was really nice as well as provided some recommendations on which happy hour specials were most popular which helps since I'm indecisive. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. The music at still OG that they were playing at the time wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm sure they mix it up from time to time. I would love to hear some oldies!

All cocktails are on tap, which actually ended up being great because I was between a few of them and the bartender was able to give me samples of them. We also ended up getting an order of the Chicken skewers, which were super tender and juicy. We were too late on our visit, but they do have a daily happy hour that includes some of the skewers and fries, as well as some drinks and shots. Service was super friendly and vibes and music were great! Cocktails, weren't the best since they were on tap, but still good enough! I would absolutely come back here for a drink and snack though!

We came by on a Wednesday night and enjoyed some delicious cocktails along with amazing service. Not only did the bartenders help guests sitting at the bar, but they walked around checking on everyone in the lounge seating, and showed that they cared about the customer experience. They messed up on the first pair of drinks we ordered, but comped our second set of cocktails which they made ten times better. We really appreciated this. Adding to our lovely evening, the live music created just the right vibe. Mike Annuzzi, who plays here weekly, showcased some incredible talent on the guitar and vocals, performing great tunes including a jazzy rendition of Michael Jackson's Human Nature, Fly Me to the Moon, as well as some Richard Marx, Now and Forever. Sometimes we take good music for granted, but I don't want to forget the simple moments that create smiles. It had an upscale vibe, but it was in the lobby of a hotel! The menu was interesting -- Japanese whiskey cocktails mainly -- and some food items. If you ask, you can get a little dish of nuts as a complimentary snack with your cocktails. The cocktails were delicious, like the "East Meets West", with most cocktails ranging from $16-20. They have a separate menu for wine and champagne that they brought us awhile later. I think you may need to ask for that if they don't give that to you right away. The drinks were delicious and made pretty quickly, but if you expect table service at this lounge, you may be waiting a long time. We found that the best way to get drinks here is to go to the bar to order, and they can bring the drinks over (or you can wait for them, of course). For the price, I'd expect better service but you may need to go further than Sunnyvale. Overall I think Nokori is a decent bar lounge, and I love the niche is on Japanese whiskey.

No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.
