Had heard about this spot multiple times and finally got around to trying it. Reservation made ahead of time. Initially 7 people and had to last minute adjust to party of 5 the morning of, which they were willing to accomodate after calling on the phone. Def make a reservation as we came for lunch and there was a one hour walk-in wait. For five people we ordered - brisket - tender, well marbled and a perfect meat to start the meal with - beef tongue - another great cut, thinly slice, tasty - pork jowl - thicker cut, but cooked to perfection as it was very easy to bite through - marinated prime bone in short rib - the one item I had an issue with. Apparently the most popular item, and also the most expensive thing we ordered, at $85 for the serving size. This meat was waaay to sweet. Like take bulgogi sweet and then drizzle honey on it. It was cooked well and the meat we beautiful but the marinade was just to much and none of the banchan balanced out the sweetness - spicy cold noodles - a favorite of the table. Super thing noodles, not too spicy, very refreshing for a hot day - seafood pancake - thick, generously loaded seafood pancake There was a large variety of banchan and all of it was good. I've come to 10 butchers twice now Luckily I had made a reservation for group of 5 for Sunday evening because it was packed! By the time we got in, we had heard there was a 1 hour wait. What was odd was no one asked if it was our first time or explained the menu to us but it might have been a miscommunication because some of our party was gone to the restroom or stepped out. What we ordered: - Brisket - $38 - Pork jowls - $35 - Beef tongue - $38 - Bimbim naeng myun (spicy cold noodles) - $26 - Nakji pajeon (seafood pancake) - $30 - Marinated prime bone in short rib - $85 Total after tax + tip came out to be around $68/person with all of the party being full (but not stuffed like some AYCE places). The quality of the meats were really good and dishes were really well done. My favorite was the beef tongue and spicy cold noodles. all of the banchan had really good selection and taste as well, the rest of my party liked it a lot. Our server cooked everything perfectly--not overcooked and was fairly attentive despite it being a busy night. One star off because the marinated prime bone in short rib was advertised as their most popular dish but it was TOO SWEET. The person that took our order recommended it (this was also one of the most expensive cuts). We thought it was cooked very well, tender and juicy. My partner who typically likes sweet/marinated meats like bulgogi even commented on how sweet it was. One additional gripe was not being consistent with putting meat on everyone's plates which I thought was odd? We (party of 4) went here for a birthday dinner and after what happened to us, we will not be returning. At first, our server was very nice and friendly, gave us refills on banchan and explained everything thoroughly. When it came to payment, her entire personality shifted. She followed us outside and exclaimed "Was my service bad? Why is the tip so low?" "I don't know" was not an acceptable answer for her as she looked at us, presenting the receipt. While waiting guests stared on, she expected all of us to empty our wallets and give us cash until some of us said we had no more cash to give. After that, she didn't even bother to say thank you. She turned around and went back into the restaurant. We were embarrassed, angry, and felt humiliated. The staff should be grateful that customers even tip at all. They should charge gratuity if they think otherwise. We could have turned around and left her waiting but felt we had to tip anyways due to her aggression. I've been seeing everyone rave about this place so I decided to come here for a birthday celebration. I wasn't a fan of their reservation system. You have to enter how many people and desired date and time online but how do you even know what's available? They have every day and time slot listed. Mine auto rejected via email response a few minutes after submission but it's like a guessing game because you still don't know what's available. I had to eventually call them and they had the entire hour free that I was looking into. The nice thing is when I did show up, I didn't have to wait. I didn't like how nothing was explained to us and the waitress was not very patient, nice, or seemed to like her job, you know, the opposite of what a waiter should be. I was asking her what some of the banchan was and she was irritated or made me feel uncomfortable asking. When the food came I wanted to get some photos of the food but also of the person's birthday we were celebrating. Again, the waitress got irritated. After the photos we didn't realize that they cook your food, again, no one told us. The waitress sprinted to our table and pulled off all the pieces of meat we placed on the grill and scolded us...awkward. I am not sure if you're meant to eat one protein all at once. I've eaten my fair share of KBBQ and Korean food...I've never heard this rule. But I prefer to eat different proteins not just one who order of tongue, then jowl, then short rib...when I asked her to only cook some of the jowl, she got upset again. I'm paying for the food, why am I not allowed to choose what order or how much to eat? She didn't even ask which meat we wanted to eat and would pick for us. Some of the meat was over cooked because she went to another table to cook too long or some were under cooked due to wanting to rush us to the next portion. The food itself was very good. The seasoning and adding onions on it tasted good. No explanation of pink salt and normal salt as your only "sauces" so I was confused there. The tofu soup we ordered came out extremely late and I was already full. There were also a lot of bell peppers in there which I'm not used to and didn't love. You have a Korean "auntie" who's grilling it for you and knows how to time it across rare-medium and well-done. Our griller and waitress was Sunny and we've had her twice, and she's the best. The ambiance is typical modern, Silicon Valley vibe: concrete, top 40 music with K-pop mixed in. Inside there's an exposed meat deli prep station, where they're cutting up the meats, and a cocktail gallery at the front to showcase their various cocktails. The prices are high for the amount of meat you get. If you're party of 4, and want to get full, and also enjoy their drinks, be ready to spend at least $500 including tip. The taste difference was pretty minimal from the $110 wagyu and the $60 dollar meats. They are weirdly strict about reservations and will give up your table in 15 mins if you don't have your whole party. Intimate but still family friendly. The waiter recommended pork belly, wagyu brisket, wagyu, and the short rib. We ordered the seafood pancake, pork belly, wagyu outside skirt, and Wagyu brisket. They cooked everything for us which was nice, I felt like the meat was good and tender. They gave us plenty of sides and they were all SO good, and gave refills of them as well. If I want to impress someone with a great meal, 10 Butchers is where I bring them. The KBBQ experience here is truly unmatched. Every cut of meat is high quality. They offer both beef and pork cuts. When we go, we usually get at least one cut of pork and a couple cuts of beef. Our most recent time, we had the A5 Japanese wagyu ribeye, and it really is worth the price. Throughout your meal you have a server cooking your meat for you at the table, which is nice to not have to worry about. The restaurant is definitely upscale, perfect for a special occasion. The only downside to 10 Butchers for me is that I don't like their banchan as much as other KBBQ places I've been, and feel like they have less of a selection. Mistake to come with a foodie, I couldn't keep up! Packed and busy, try to make a reservation if you can, though we walked in and our 45min wait became only 20. In order of cooking/serving (done by staff, not self serve). They serve and cook one meat at a time, not an amalgamation at once as you may do when serving yourself. Keep in mind as to not fill up too early: - Wagyu brisket (10/10): you can never go wrong with brisket, this is always a favorite. It's clean, light, high quality, perfect to dip in a light sesame oil or just with salt. A bit fattier than other kbbqs, but easily cut with some soju and beer (yes, you need both!) - Wagyu beef tongue (9/10): A bit more tough and chewy (though I heard its not supposed to be tough, I have complete faith that this was high quality), very lean. There is a distinct taste to this meat and very rich. At this point, I was already getting very full. - Sam Gyeop Sal/pork belly (5/10 for me, 10/10 quality and cut): very indulgent. exactly as imagined, thick cuts, very fatty. Glad I tried it, but don't think this is the cut for me since I prefer beef and brisket specifically. The mild pork flavor and the fattiness as the 3rd meat was too much for me. - Rib finger (8/10): a more marbled meat, soft and more beefy. Peach soju + Terra beer (necessary): finally tried the famous somaek (the two combined) and I see why its a favorite especially with a clean meat with a bit of fattiness. Terra lager is very light and refreshing, was the polar opposite of a bitter IPA to me. Super fun ambiance great for any sized party, attentive service, nice servers, tons of the classic banchans with larger sides of green onion and pickled onions and constant refills. Towards the end, they give you the option of a soup (kimchi jiggae or soy bean soup), the kimchi jiggae was simple/classic, nothing special. The night ends with complimentary soft serve. read more

We were lucky to get a last-minute reservation for a Wednesday dinner, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Our family of five was warmly welcomed and seated promptly. We ordered the salt-marinated prime bone-in short rib, Wagyu beef tongue, brisket, prime ribeye, and black pork jowl. The quality of the meat was excellent, and each cut was cooked perfectly on the table grill. I was especially impressed by the ventilation system, which kept the dining area comfortable throughout the meal. The green onion pancake with octopus was outstanding, and the banchan was fresh and flavorful. Even the small details were thoughtful, they engraved the restaurant's name on the surface of the mushrooms, which was such a cute touch. Our server was attentive and cooked the meats at a perfect pace, allowing us to enjoy every bite. The restaurant was clean, elegant, and had an upscale atmosphere. If you like Korean BBQ and like your food cooked by someone else then this is the place! Lots of tables for large parties and the host was professional and attentive. The prices on the menu seem intimidating but with a large party it is not too bad. I came with my coworkers abs we had a blast. Our server was very nice and informative. Came to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday dinner at 10 Butchers with a party of 8 people. Reservation definitely needed and recommended, even on a weekday this place was so packed. An upscale full service KBBQ restaurant where you just sit back and relax while your meat will be grilled to perfection by a professional. Our party was split into 2 tables, but at least they were next to each other so we still able to cheer together while taking soju shots. The type of meat they serve here are premium quality and the price reflect that. We ordered Japchae for appetizer and Spicy Cheese Galbi Jjim for entrée to share, for BBQ we went with Prime Rib Eye, Marinated Bone In Short Rib, US Wagyu Brisket, Black Pork Jowl, and Black Pork Belly and rice for each table. Banchan, onions and radish soup was serve ahead of time, my favorite banchan were their stir-fried dry squid, tofu, and sweet potato salad. Japchae is the first dish that came out, it was pretty good, loaded with beef and vegetables, noodle was on a chewier side. Then our server brought the meat platter out, we started with the brisket, ribeye, pork, and ended with marinated bone in short ribs. A tip that I learned when you eat KBBQ is that you always started with the plain/fresh cut of meat first and then the marinated one. Last to serve was the Galbi Jjim, I love that they use big size soft chewy tteok and very good quality cheese for this dish, it sure have a kick but not too spicy, sauce was very flavorful, it actually my favorite dish of the night. Plus point that the server also debone all of the ribs for us so we can just eat with ease hehe. They also gave us chocopie & strawberry ice cream for dessert, we ended our meal with singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy and called it a night.
