They also have a full menu including kabobs, biryani, chicken, shrimp, goat and bean entrees. Al-Madina serves huge naan, it's true. I've only had the plain naan basket. I would like to try the garlic and kabuli naan with sesame seeds. Love the Yogurt Salad here. It's a gigantic bowl of yogurt, cucumbers, onion, tomato, mint, cilantro, and lemon. It's bountiful and delicious. We tried the samosas with potato, coriander, mint, cumin seed and red chili's. Very good. We enjoyed the Butter Chicken but it was not like any butter chicken I've had before. There was very little butter and cream present. The sauce was red and spicy. I ordered it as a mild version for the person eating with us. Maybe one could request extra cream if they are looking for a traditional, Amercan-ized, Indian Butter Chicken dish? It was flavorful, for me, though. We also enjoyed the Chicken Tandoori. It is moist, very well-seasoned and delicious. Zero complaints! We really liked the Chana Masala which is great for vegetarians. This is a chickpea dish with spices, and you can tell they have been marinated for a very long time. We tried this on the buffet. The Kabuli Palaw is a very mild and lovely rice dish. It comez with bone-in beef (so if you are serving children or seniors, pull this meat out for them), basmati rice, raisins and carrots. The raisins make it sweet and great. The Chicken Biryani is good and spicy but I enjoyed that it wasn't a fire-spice level. We ate this at the buffet so it was on the medium-spicy side vs. other wildly, spicy biryani's. The Kheer is super-delicious! It's a rice pudding with milk, heavy cream, almonds and pistachios. We also had this in the buffet and loved it. Especially the cardamom notes. The Chai is served very quickly here, so I'm wondering if they have a large soup pot of it in the back. It's nice but add sugar if you like it sweet. I liked that I didn't have to wait forever for it. The spices are just right and I ordered a second one! The service here was very friendly. Most of the staff spoke to us when I requested things and it is like an all-hands-on-board approach. This is why they describe themselves as fast-casual: you can just go to the front and ask for what you need when you are eating at the buffet. Things on this menu which pique my interest: White Lassi (dogh). I looked it up and it's plain yogurt and sugar with aromatics such as cardamom or rose water. They have the following fresh fruit juices: banana, mango, apple, orange, lemon, and watermelon. You can also mix two fruits. I wonder if you can add yogurt because I've and never had banana juice. The Afghani Sheryakh with milk, cream, sugar, cardamom, crushed almonds, saffron, and pistachio also looks delicious. The lentil soup looks delicious, as well as the lentil entrees. When they say it's fast-casual Indian and Pakistani, this is helpful because I've seen words, "Afghan," in titles and Kabuli in a dish name mentioned on the menu so it's a bit confusing. But a woman I was speaking with said the cooks are Indian and Pakistani. Madina is the name of 'the' holy city in Dubai. Maybe it's a similar concept to Jerusalem for us Christians. So there is this whole menangerie of countries mentioned in the menu, basically. The cooking here is the least closest to American Indian that I am used to eating. We really liked the flavors here. I saw jalapeños in a few of the buffet dishes and for me, all that was missing was beer to tamp the spice! Ah well, Coke and Pepsi did the trick for now. Would come back to Al Madina again. It's probably the closest I'll get to the real city of Madina in Dubai.

Bathrooms were uncomfortable-and in the hotel. Parking was a mess with snow and ice unshovelled. Inside the chairs were hard but covered with white linen like a wedding setting. Next to me a man put out his prayer rug and prayed. The food was uninspiring. Spicy. Watery. The fried potato pockets were good without any sauce to dip into. Different accoutrements on each table. Some had napkins. Others had salt and pepper stuff. Some people came in for to go boxes. Altogether interesting and good to know it's here.

The freshly grilled meats were tender and aromatic, and the house-made breads were warm and delicious. Though the restaurant may appear unassuming from the outside, its food quality makes the visit truly worthwhile. The owner, Manzoor Ahmad, and his staff were warm, attentive, and gracious. We appreciated the pleasant conversation with the owner and the thoughtful gesture of complimentary items. The only drawback was the service time, since most dishes are prepared fresh on a small grill, resulting in a noticeable wait. However, the freshness and taste more than compensated for the delay. And we did the Thai tea and Chai tea from the boba shop. For the Kabob Joint: The Kabob roll was a real winner and the Chappli Kabob in the spicy green sauce was super. I wish the edges would have been a little crispier, but very good. We haven't had the Lamb Chop yet but there's a ton of food in their platters. For the Krazi Kabob, the paneer roll wasn't super spicy but was very tasty and I'd definitely get it again. The lamb was good too but I preferred the paneer. Highly recommend ordering in advance or with delivery; there isn't anywhere to sit and eat of course, and everything is made to order, so expect about a 20 minute wait if you walk in and order from the kiosk inside. Overall, great food and a cool business model for the area. In addition to the above, I'd probably get the Masala Fries next time and would consider the samosa chaat as a deconstructed samosa bowl.

Having lived in NYC for a couple of decades, I pretty much survived off of chicken or lamb over rice especially after a late night of clubbing, partying and boozing. So, I decided to take a bit of a walk down memory lane...(unfortunately) without the clubbing, partying and boozing. First, I thought the prices for {protein} over rice bowls were pretty fair at 15-16 bucks. For the most part, I was pleased when my order arrived to my house. I would have preferred that the bowl came with a bit more protein (in my case, lamb), but the amount of lamb provided was a decent amount. From my NYC days, I was used to the bowls/platter being filled to the brim with your meat of choice. To be frank, I was expecting a soggy mess when the food arrived because I assumed that the restaurant would add the white sauce to the bowl. However, I was so glad that the restaurant provided the white sauce in its own container. Also, the restaurant provide a decent amount of the sauce because it is not {protein} over rice without the white sauce. ;) The restaurant provides two levels of heat (mild and spicy). Since I was unfamiliar with the restaurant, I decided to play it safe and go with mild. Next time, I'll take the risk and go with spicy...I'm not sure if I will be brave enough to go with the special super spicy sauce (or whatever it was called) in the future. All in all, I had a nice delivery experience with Krazi Kabbob and hope to try some more things from their menu.

I got a combination of items she recommended, popular items, and items that looked good. It's a ghost kitchen that's home to 5 different food vendors, but I only tried items from 4 of the 5 vendors: Krazi Kebob, Krazi Chicken, Krazi Burrito, and Kebob Joint. Also, since it's a ghost kitchen, it's only takeout. I made my order online and got the 2x chicken Kati rolls w/ fries $13, bone-in chicken skewer plate w/ white sauce $10, handmade mango lassi $5, garlic naan chicken tikka quesadilla $15.49, 6 ct Krazi jerk 99 cent wings $5.94, chicken burrito $10, and 2x handmade samosas $4.25. - The chicken Kati rolls were good. I don't know what bread it is as it's not naan, but it was enjoyable. Also, the chicken had to be halal based on its look and taste. - The fries were alright, nothing noteworthy about them. - The naan quesadilla looked and sounded very good, but it sadly wasn't as good as expected. It resembled a calzone more than a quesadilla, and it wasn't particularly cheesy as it was described. Also I got the garlic naan for a $2 upcharge and there wasn't anything "garlic" about it which sucks, cause that's a waste of $2. Very unique, but ultimately I should've got the naan wrap instead. - The Krazi jerk wings were good, and the sauce was decent. 99 cents per wing is a great price, and I would be open to trying more wing flavors. - The chicken skewer plate was alright, but it was carried by the very well-seasoned chicken. Also, the white sauce didn't add much to the experience. - The mango lassi was okay, but I've had plenty better. - The samosas were okay, but when I got them, they weren't hot or warm at all. But the experience was elevated once warmed up and paired with the tamarind sauce. - The burrito was below average, and it was cold. It was small and it lacked a lot of the filling that I had expected, as the tortilla itself was present due to its many layers. Overall, the spot wasn't as good as I had expected due to the high praise from my coworker, but it was still decent. My favorites were the chicken Kati rolls and the Krazi jerk wings, I'd come back for them.
