We have been here several times now for pizza, apps and dinner. Atmosphere is nice. Service is great, food is always fresh with specials to choose from. Wine and beer selections are wonderful. We enjoy going here! We usually prefer to sit at the bar because it usually ends up with great conversation by the patrons and the awesome staff behind the bar, especially Chad! There is a nice selection of beer, ales and wine which are not the typical run of the mill selections usually found elsewhere. We have never had a bad meal there either and the menu changes frequently; which we enjoy! So many other restaurants in the area have had the same menu for years and only offer up daily specials. Our last visit there, one of the menu selections was a tortellini with artichoke hearts in a cheese sauce. What was nice was that I was inquiring about it and the chef came out and told me how she made it. I was able to look something similar enough online and added what she did to the dish and mine turned out pretty much the same! (delicious !) Another selection to try is their antipasto served on a board with meat, cheese, vegie and fruit selections with local honey available in the middle. What is also impressive about this appetizer is that we just went to another upscale restaurant and selected an appetizer that was similar to what we like at the UxLocale, but it offered smaller portions and more $. Our only complaint (if you want to call it that) is if you sit at the bar, there is no place for your coats and purse. Stools with a back would be helpful, or a coat rack or wall hooks. read more

we were excited to check this place out, but were sadly disappointed. the food, when we were finally served, was delicious. however, the service made our dinner more than twice as long as our usual experience dining out as our server was neglectful and rarely stopped by the table. we waited for drinks for about 15 min. our kid's pizza was brought to the table about 25 min before our meals- just a salad and a pasta dish. they were out of bread which was supposed to be served complimentary. and the menu was much more limited than expected. we were looking forward to sitting on the patio but it was closed. we will not be returning to this restaurant. excluding our 15 min wait, our party of three (2 adults and a child) spent near 2 hours at our table before we could finally leave. read more

I imagine they were having an off night. The strawberry salad was tasty and well dressed, however, waiting for close to an hour for your entree while watching all other tables (sat after you) are receiving theirs is not acceptable. I get it, things happen. Our waitress simply covered stating that everything would be out soon instead of asking why. Turns out they didn't have our ticket. Within 5 minutes our food came out and it was literally thrown together and missing key components or was something you would see on a kids menu. Ugh. Willing to try again (was our first visit), but it will take a bit before we have the courage. I would normally give this experience a single star, but the atmosphere and salad were superb. Prices were very reasonable and all food came from locally owned businesses. During the pandemic, safety at restaurants is very important to me. They do a great job with distancing and no contact. Truly, an amazing destination. The moment you arrive, you are welcomed by a magnificent historical barn, adjacent to organic veggies growing in the garden. The outdoor patio is beautifully lit by string lights with a commanding view of rolling farm hills to the sunset. The food is exceptional! Each bite, you taste each ingredient. It's rustic, wholesome and fresh. The owner and her son, greet customers from the kitchen and offer such an inviting atmosphere. The wine and craft beer options are top rated. Was excited for this place to open as there are not a great many options for eating out locally. I was disappointed when I finally had an opportunity to try it. Service was bad. By the time I was half way done eating, the others at my table were just getting their meal. Waitress never returned. Half of our pizza was burnt. I received my pasta cold and the crescendo of the evening was when I got clothes lined by there curtain valance hanging at their entrance/exit. For their menu offerings & prices the service & experience does not match. You shouldn't have to wear a coat while you're eating because it's so cold in an establishment. Have been here a few times! During the fall I love love the fig pizza they offer. So good. Season menu tho which is nice too. Make you try other things! Last adventure there I had the scallop plate with a yummy risotto. I think the risotto was a tad of cooked but still tasted wonderful. Salads are always nice and fresh. Can't wait to go back again. Been to The Ux at least 10 times since they've opened. We started visiting for ice cream over the summer. They have Richardson's ice cream which is, in our opinion, the best around. My favorite - coconut ice cream with fresh sliced strawberries as a topping. Delicious! Plus, the ice cream counter is dog friendly and the view of the sky from the hill is always beautiful. We've also visited several times for dinner and have never been disappointed. All of the pizzas and pasta dishes we've tried have been great. The food is always perfectly spiced to our liking and flavor is well balanced. We love that all food is prepared fresh to order with locally sourced ingredients - something that's really hard to come by in this area. The service has always been friendly and casual. Just don't expect fast food - everything is cooked fresh. To us, it's worth the little extra wait while we enjoy a Downeast Craft Cider and a glass of wine. Then there's Sunday brunch. So far, we've only been once, but there are so many delicious things on the menu that we'll be going back every Sunday until we've exhausted our menu options. read more

On Saturday night I ordered out from Uxlocale in Uxbridge. One of my favorites is swordfish. I am reluctant to order it out because you never know how it will be prepared. I figured that I would give it a chance. This was the best piece of swordfish that I have ever had. It came with risotto and that also was fantastic. I frequently visit the northbridge vicinity and am always faced with the hard fact that there are hardly any places to eat in the area. In my desperate search for newness last night I stumbled upon this recently opened restaurant. While you can tell the place is just starting out and still has some details to work out I think it is just what the area has been lacking. It provides a warm atmosphere with a touch of class. The brick oven pizza and varieties of Beer and wine prove for a perfect date or night out with friends. I enjoyed the murica pizza paired with some cold craft beers and left knowing I will return to see what else is in store. I was excited to try this place unfortunately I most likely will not be returning. Service was very slow, took server about 15 minutes to come greet us, I got the Tuscan chicken, the chicken was very chewy. My boyfriends risotto was cold, Drinks took forever, food was brought out at different times. Overall not a good first experience. If I do return it will be to try the pizza considering a lot of people seem to like it..and most likely I'll be getting take out. read more

I was in on 12/23; a Sunday. This was probably my 5th time here. I have reserved writing this review, b/c like many others, I want there to be success here, and clearly there is b/c people frequent this establishment, however, there are certainly areas that need improvement. Identifying with some other reviewers, the wait staff needs to be looked at. They are often young and inexperienced. On this visit, she didn't even offer up the specials, I had to ask if there were any. I also ordered pasta (ziti) and butter for my son who is 3, and she brought our spaghetti and said sorry we ran out of ziti. Honestly, something I would have liked to have known, since spaghetti eating for a 3 year old, is simply and utterly a mess and a playful experience rather than mealtime. On my other visits, much of the same, lack of understanding the needs of the customer and having a general gauge of hospitality and service. This is something I would look at. AS for food, I know you pride yourself on your "farm to table", and your Instagram pictures look great, but the food has no flavor. I have had: the pizza, meatballs, a "special" pasta dish, the linguine and clams, and on this last visit the pasta with vodka sauce. None of these meals has flavor or depth to them. None were notable or worth coming back for and I feel bad saying it but it's truth. Like another reviewer, we also had the cauliflower app, and like the other reviewer, it was bland. Not quite sure what the accompany sauce/hummus/spread was supposed to be b/c it lent nothing to the appetizer. How about a Romanesco, or some herbed olive oil? Anyway, I do hope that you read your reviews, and take into consideration the good and not so good feedback. The owner was there the night we ate and came out of the kitchen eating a sandwich with one hand and with a bottle of wine in the other, clearly celebrating success. Be mindful of longevity, it matters more in the restaurant world. Take advantage of visiting some other places for taste and ambiance: COPA Boston, Pane Vino Providence; consistency and flavor are key. read more

My family and I went here for Easter brunch. I know, late review. It was a little bit of a change in the traditional Easter dinner, but nothing short of wonderful. I ordered a sausage and apple pizza which was AMAZING. My brother and my dad ordered the eggs Benedict with I believe either salmon or lobster. Either way, I couldn't tell because they had eaten everything so fast! My sister has some allergies and the waitress was so wonderful and was able to make some changes to a menu item for my sister to enjoy. Overall, wonderful experience. Just got back from attending a small wedding reception here. The food was adequate, except for the meatballs that were raw inside. The party was outside on a cool October 14th and it never occurred to management to check that the outdoor heaters had ample propane so, no heat either. read more

We were quickly seated and provided with menus. I can't remember the server's name but she was great, super friendly and checked in frequently. I got veggie carbonara with peas and spinach and asked to leave out the spinach. Server came back and said the chef had asked if I'd like a different vegetable instead and had suggested Brussels sprouts, so nice touch. I can't honestly say it tasted like carbonara but it was pretty delicious anyway. The others had mussels with red sauce and vodka sauce pasta and noodles. We finished everything. If you're expecting traditional Italian or anything else you may not like it. And the menu isn't extensive. But if you enjoy local ingredients, unique combinations and jazzy music played while you eat I'd say stop in. read more

My husband and I went last week for a special occasion - we love local and fresh ingredients and had heard good things about this place. We were seated and served pretty quickly. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We received our drinks and bread and sauce and were so impressed that it swayed us to order the chicken parm later, which was a very good decision. I am picky about Italian food and pizza as I grew up in the greater New Haven, CT, area; the bar is set pretty high. The pasta was homemade, which I appreciated, too! I did not try the pizza, so I can't say how it compares to New Haven pizza - but few places outside of New Haven can even come close to competing on pizza so we won't go there. The soup of the day was an excellent cauliflour turmeric - I was surprised at how much I liked it and it was also great for dipping bread into. I would recommend making this a regular offering. Overall, everything we ate was either excellent or pretty good, with the exception of the potato appetizer we ordered (can't remember the name, maybe smashed taters?) - these were rather dry and not as flavorful. Our brownie sundae was also more of a cake than a brownie, so while it was very good, we were looking forward to the brownie and were a bit bummed there. We did like that several things we ordered were served on a bed of arugala, which we added to our house salad to stretch it out more. The suggestions I would make: Add to your core/regular entree options for additional consistency. A poultry, a pork or beef, a fish, and a vegetarian/vegan option that are ongoing and easy. Chicken parm might be ideal as one since you have a great sauce recipe already for that. Serving sizes were a bit smaller than expected given the price points (even considering the local aspect). Including a house salad with all entrees might be an easy way to offset this, especially as lettuces and other local produce are coming into season now. Pricing was inconsistent on the specials vs. the receipt. Everything ended up being essentially equal or close, but we noticed that some things rang up differently than they were priced on the card. I was considering ordering the beet salad but the price dissuaded me from it. I figured that the cheeses that are part of that salad were a significant driving factor for the price, and since I actually did not want those cheeses, I did not get that salad. If the price point was a couple of dollars lower, I wouldn't have minded ordering it and asking to waive the cheese, and still pay that price. We read about the pretzels the week before and were hoping those were on the menu. Sad to see they weren't but hope to see them again in the future/regularly! We do plan to go back and have told friends about this place, and look forward to seeing it through it's evolution since it's a growing and difficult process to open a new business - especially a restaurant! read more

I went for the first time with a couple friends on a Thursday night. It was busy, but no wait. The decor is fun, well put together, and slightly eclectic (mismatched tables). I loved the small bar. They had a great beer and wine selection, too. Everything on the menu sounded great, it's not a huge menu, but enough variety. For a starter, 3 of us shared a bottle of wine, the charcuterie board and herbed ricotta on crostini. It was so good, we asked for more bread for the remaining meats and cheeses and it came out quickly. I ordered the beet salad and butternut squash soup. The salad was huge and delicious, only comment I would add is that it would be easier to start digging into it if the bowl was a little bigger or served on a plate. My friends both ordered pasta bowls made with fresh pasta. I didn't get to try them, but I know they were happy. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, looks like they all have a good time working there. Overall, we had a great time. I'm always looking for new places and will be back again. read more

Great restaurant! My husband and I eat here every few weeks. Everything is crafted with attention and care. The pizza is of course great from the wood burning pizza oven. But everything else is also delicious and freshly prepared. We've tried just about everything on the menu ! In the summer the outdoor patio is a great place for a meal.
