For the area, this is a decent option as there really isn't a big restaurant culture in these parts. I will say that I have only tried the take out. Attempted to order online at 5pm on Saturday and at the end was directed to call the restaurant to order. A lot of things were sold out already or only available in the restaurant so we ordered the chicken parm with ziti and thin and crispy pizza. Obviously I can't criticize too much about the pizza as it was eaten after a ride in a car in a box. There was a good char on the bottom, thin for sure, great chew on the crust and im sure that if eaten in the restaurant, would be great. I felt like it needed a bit of seasoning somewhere though. It was better than typcial pizza. The menu description for the chicken parmesan mentioned butterflied and pounded crispy cutlets and thats not what we received. Pretty thick breast, did not appear pounded, on the thicker side of breading on the chicken. The tomato sauce is very sweet. It was the first thing I noticed. The ziti was overcooked (overcooked bc it traveled in a car? Im trying to cut it some slack as it was take out afterall). Inside the restaurant when we went to pick up was very busy, typical Saturday night. Great front of the house hostess help who had it all dialed in. The UxLocale is the best thing (food wise) that has happened to the Blackstone valley. Our family is forever grateful to have the Ux so close to home. The food is absolutely incredible, and the owner and all of the staff are just so lovely they feel like family. Their pizza is incredible, beer and wine selection is great. Their whipped feta, I am hesitant to admit that sometimes I wake up thinking about it. Their hand cut chips with dip oh wow. I am a huge fan of their carbonaras and their cheese boards. My husband loves the hanger steak. Their salads are thoughtfully crafted. No boring salads here. So many of my favorite lifetime meals have been had right here at the Ux. If for some reason you are able to eat desert please I beg you to eat the salted caramel gelato. Words cannot describe the decadent flavor of this particular gelato. Indoor and outdoor seating, fire pits outside and heat lamps in the covered porch. Games for children, live music sometimes and overall just very nicely decorated. read more

I usually rate based solely on food but this restaurant's mission made me give them one extra star. Really wanted to give them 3 stars because if I'm honest, the food didn't push me to a 4. The food concepts seemed really thoughtful and creative but execution just wasn't to that level for the dishes to hit quite right. I understand that there's often updates to the menu which is wonderful for their mission of keeping sourcing local, but I think it maybe detracts from the kitchen's ability to perfect their dishes. read more

Wonderful farm location, live entertainment makes it a great spot. Sadly every time I've been there's always been something that's gone wrong unfortunately. I always say I'll give it one more chance although it seems to get worse and worse. Slow service which causes tables to sit much longer and people being turned away at the door due to ridiculous wait times. Went in last weekend for a birthday celebration. Was immediately warned by the waitress they had a bunch of call outs so service would be slow. Took almost an hour to order and receive our drinks and place a dinner order. Because they were busy waitress would disappear and drinks would go unrefilled. After waiting almost another hour was told all of the food was ready except for the lamb dish they had on special. I told the waitress to just bring the food out if we were only waiting on one dish. That was a lie, the pizzas came out, the other 9 dishes wouldn't arrive for another 15-30 mins and was staggered causing everyone to eat and finish at different times. Lamb lollipops were 27.00, they were served over cooked/well and submerged in soupy mashed potato's and brown sauce in a bowl, it appeared as they were pre cut and cooked on a flat top grill vs cutting them after properly being cooked and resting. Was one of the worst dining and food experiences but atleast we were warned it would be, this place has the potential to be amazing, owners are great,I hope they put more effort into their dishes and attention to detail at their price point. read more

Everything about this place is phenomenal. The staff is unreal and so attentive and kind. The ambiance itself is so cute and warm. This was my third or fourth time dining here. We ate the antipasto salad (i dont like antipasto salad but you bet i found myself eating half of my boyfriends salad thats how good it was), then we got the funghi mushroom pizza (our 3rd time getting this, im addicted) and then we got the french style muscles and chicken parm dinner which was crazy good, the chicken parm was unlike anything i've ever tasted. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Went last night, usually a good experience. It took over an hour and a half to get food served, the waitress said they had "printer problems". When it did finally come it was not good, the sauce was thick and not fluid, just bad. My wife ordered another drink that never showed up. Just real poor service and poor excuses, most decent restaurants would have comped some if not all of the bill over service like this, won't be back anytime soon. read more

Update on 8/1/20: Visiting regularly since my post, I have not wavered from my assessment and regards for The Locale. I would add that the cannoli is nothing short of delicious and if you are lucky enough to find the lobster salad roll on the menu, do not pass. I've got to update my review because I've visited several times and have ordered takeout several times since my last review and it's always AMAZING! The staff is super friendly. Are they ever not smiling? It's pretty obvious they enjoy their job and their customers. I've had the pleasure of speaking with the owner a couple times in passing. She's such a nice woman and it's very obvious cooking great food and delivering fantastic service is a passion of hers. Speaking of great food, the pizza is the best around. It's not bar pizza or chain pizza, this is great pizza made fresh with quality ingredients and you can taste the difference. The rotating specials always include something unique that I just have to try. I've never been disappointed. I like that they keep things fresh and interesting. The outdoor patio seating area is amazing and they even have heaters and a fire pit for when the sun goes down and it gets a little cooler outside. If indoor dining is more your thing, the dining room and bar are impeccable. Very clean as you'd expect and the atmosphere is energetic and positive. I can't say enough about Uxlocale. Give it a try. Took mom here for her birthday and try this restaurant for the first time. Had reservations and when we arrived at 5pm there was a line stretching to the parking lot. We were seated fairly quickly at a table I would have chosen for myself. Everyone we interacted with was friendly including the owners who spent time with us. They have a great beer selection here including a German Hefeweizen a favorite of mine. We ordered pizzas including a Margherita and the Uxbridge which is sausage, peppers & onions. Both were delicious with a very tasty marinara but the homemade sausage was epic. Both pizza's are thin crispy crust with fresh vegetables. For dessert we shared a espresso gelato which was so good we wished we had ordered two. This a rustic, family friendly setting that gets noisy. We come here as often as we can. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is so fun, it's always a good vibe. I am always looking for reasons to pop in here. The menu is always changing, and is so creative. I am always trying to figure out recipes at home based on things I ate here. I can't ever get it quite right but it does give me great ideas The staff here are so sweet and work their butts off. As a family with 5 kids we don't get to go out as often as we would like but when we get this chance this very very often the only place we want to go. This review is for the dish I ordered, not the restaurant. Let's start with the dish: Icelandic Haddock baked in a grape leaf. Yeah, I know. What was I thinking?? Possibly the worst selection I ever made. Even the bartender/waiter warned me that it wasn't so good. Too bad the warning came AFTER I ordered it. Once it arrived, it was the wrong order. He brought me the creamy Mushroom pasta (in hindsight I should have kept that!) instead. My girlfriend's pizza order was perfect. After apologizing and admitting it was his mistake, he placed my order for the haddock. Oh, oh. You know what's coming next. After a 15min wait, my order arrives. It looks good appearance wise, so I'm psyched for a taste. Unfortunately as the old adage goes, "don't judge a book by its cover." Haddock was severely undercooked! If I looked hard enough, I probably could have found the hook it was caught with! Horrible! It was also covered in cumin, so much so that it was as if the cumin fell off the spice rack and onto the haddock! I had to down my draft beer just to get the taste of India out of my mouth! Chef and staff had to be having a bad haddock night, Either that or they realized the bartender/waiter got my order wrong and they had to put a rush on my corrected order just so my girlfriend didn't have to eat alone. The bartender/waiter gave us a free drink for the mishaps but there wasn't enough alcohol in the place to get the taste of a bad meal out of my mouth or the bad UxLocale experience. The owner of the place was walking around, the guy that looks and acts like Joseph Bastianich, but he was too busy schmoozing the crowd for me to voice my concerns. Will I go back? You bet!! But I'd have to be a Mad Haddock to order that dish again!! read more

Best local pizza can get very busy at times and is small inside but glad they do take out

We tried a little bit of everything here- and it was all delicious!! The hummus and pita plate was our appetizer- the fresh pita bread was warm and the loaded hummus was so good too. I got a pasta dish but also tried some pizza and both were equally delicious dinner choices. I can't wait to go back and see what kind of specials they'll have next! Definitely the best food in the area. Any of the pizzas are a sure-fire winner, and the specials are frequently superb. I am sure to stop by every time I am in the area to try whatever is fresh and in season. There is always a great beer selection featuring great local beers that are more exciting than your average Blue Moon, etc. Most recently I had the chips and dip which were way tastier than chips and dip have any business being. So far, I've dined inside, but the outside dining looks like it would be great for a pleasant Spring or Summer evening. Staff is amazing, owner is friendly and welcoming. Vodka sauce with sausage is so delicious. My boyfriend had gotten the pasta marinara, which was a little flat (for an adult pallet-- but perfect for a child!) For the record It had a good flavor and made from scratch, it just did not have much dimension (add garlic and some basil/basil pesto!!!). I quite like the interior set up and decoration. The bar top was beautifully crafted and fit into the scheme very well. I feel sort of sad about the location of this place; folks in this area tend to be more townie and less hipster, and this place definitely caters to the latter. LUCKILY I do come from a very hipster/trendy part of the world, so I felt at home. I cannot wait to go back when their outdoor seating is available. read more
