I've really been enjoying the quinoa salad at this location and am happy that this place exists so that I can add it into my take out lunch rotation. I've been hoping for some better lunch options around this area for a long time, as there are so few places that can accommodate a vegan friendly diet. Parking can be difficult, although free, and the service is not as fast as I would prefer, but I guess that's probably because everything is made fresh. Service behind the counter has been friendly and I like how you can see back into the kitchen area while they prepare your food. It looks like I can save some time by ordering online via the website. So far the quinoa salad is the only thing I have tried although many of the other salad options also sound appealing. I like that this is a healthy food option and that things are fresh, I am sure many people are excited that its organic. I wanted to try the soup, but they have been out of it whenever I ask. The quinoa salad is pretty huge and comes with delicious avocados in it. My coworkers have reported enjoying the things they have tried as well. I plan to take advantage of the smoothies and coffee on a visit soon. Personally I would love to see some more vegan friendly options, but they did assure me I could remove the dairy from most items.

Love this place. Usually do a half salad, half sandwich veggie combo, yum. Having soup today and it's delicious. Plus, the staff is always really friendly.

Club sandwich and spinach salad. Half of each for the lunch special.

Food: They place has fresh, yummy food. A little pricey, but that's to be expected with fresh, organic ingredients. They have great sandwich and salad options. I had the club and spinach salad, both were great. Love the pepper jack on the club. I also got a vanilla latte--they serve my favorite coffee, Fidalgo Bay! It's good too. Service/Atmosphere: The person at the counter was new, but a seasoned employee came to her rescue and it worked out fine. I got my food pretty quick. They play good music. It's clean. And the front is a garage door that they open when it's nice! Bottom line: I will be back. Glad to see this type of place in Everett.

If you're a health nut or part time health but like me but prefer organic options, come here. Local...check Clean...check Garage door opens to the sidewalk...check Smoothies, wraps, panini's, coffee and salads. They have juices but no green juice--just green smoothie. Food is wholesome and fresh, and no weird witty pieces of lettuce in my salad which is awesome because I always check on that. I will certainly return here whenever I'm in the north end. Watch out, they're not open on Sunday's yet. Thanks Luis for having the courage to open an organic cafe up.

I really wanted to like this place but they will not honor a restaurant.com gift certificate that I just got yesterday. They said sorry but they aren't supposed to be giving those out anymore.

Yummy! What a little gem of a place. Delicious organic sandwiches, salads, wraps, juices, and smoothies. And they have a "garage door" that opens the cafe to the street on warm days!! I can't wait. Thanks for being you Valley Organic Deli.

(gotta climb in the Wayback Machine for that gem!) I loved that I saw at least six versions of my childhood dining room table, which felt so nostalgically comfortable that I wanted to crawl under one with my coloring books and my chocolate milk. But I digress -- you're supposed to be reading my review. I decided that I was in the mood for grilled cheese and tomato soup, so that's what I ordered. The tomato soup is really amazing -- so fresh tasting and delicious. But the sandwich was next level nom-ness. I opted to get it on sourdough because it's the best for dunking into the soup. In conclusion, I want to talk about the service -- ordering was fairly simple, and the varied menu made it exciting to know there are so many choices. You order in line and the incredible wait staff brings the food quite quickly. With the vibe, the service and all the things, I am definitely coming back.

It definitely worked on me - usually specials are relegated to a small corner of the menu, but here they are front and center. I couldn't resist and so I got the Pot Roast Dip. It's a sandwich that has a good amount of pot roast, some bacon jam that's glued together with provolone and Swiss cheese all on a Giuseppe roll (From Macrina Bakery? It's a crust roll). The bacon jam and sandwich dressing makes the sandwich really sweet, but the Angus sauce is very salty, and so when the sandwich is dipped it all balances out interestingly enough. It was good to try, but I think I'll order something else next time. I also got a Mocha latte- very smooth and delicious. I would get this again! Their bathrooms are shared with the rest of the building - the code is at the cashiers. The wifi password is right next to it too. You grab a menu, wait in line to order, and then they bring your food to you. Bus your own table when you're done. Solid spot.

I had been there a few times before and had always enjoyed it, so I was actually the one raving to my friend about how good the place was and suggesting we go there. We spent around $65 on our order, and I even left a generous tip. While waiting for our food, we asked if we could sit at one of the many empty tables since the restaurant was only about half full. We were told by who I believe was the owner that we could not sit at a table because they were "running food" and it made things too difficult, and instead were told to sit on the bench by the door. The problem was the bench was already full, so we were left standing there waiting for our order with nowhere to sit. Honestly, it was embarrassing after I had talked the place up so much to my friend. It was disappointing because there were plenty of empty tables available and we were paying customers simply waiting for our food. The interaction felt unnecessarily unwelcoming and left a bad impression.

Every time I visit, I pick up a fruit or vegetable that I haven't tried before. Today it was a small Korean melon with bright yellow skin. The guys who work the fish counter are personable and knowledgeable. The man who helped us made a good suggestion for the type of fish to use in a soup, and didn't grumble when, near closing, he had to start up the equipment to cut it for us. The parking lot can be busy but I just choose to park farther away from the door. Also, try to go during an off hour--the veggie section (and the store in general) can get crowded. I suggest stopping by the deli section at the front of the store to see what treats are available. Last time I tried a tasty steamed cake wrapped in banana leaf. Another tip is to jump on specials as soon as you see them. I'm still kicking myself for not picking up an entire pack of oxtails for 1.99 a pound. I went back a few days later and they were gone. I still bought oxtails, for up to $2.00 less a pound than other stores. Lastly, double check the expiration dates on prepackaged foods. Every once and a while you'll find one that is past it's prime.
