I've been a fan of Mike & Denise's restaurants well before I moved into the area when I fell in love with the Fried Chicken at M & D's Pizza in Yorkville. Last weekend I ordered the Ribeye Special and was absolutely blown away by what I was served. This steak was beyond delicious and I have eaten in many of the finest steakhouses in the country. It was enormous to begin with and cooked to absolute perfection. And, the value was tremendous. I don't know what the size was but had to be almost 30oz., and the feature only available on Friday nights was only $35. This steak at any other premium steakhouse or restaurant would be in the $100 range. Our service was great, food came out within 15-20 minutes since we arrived (6PM) before the rush. Drinks and food were great, but the Molto Bella seemed to be lacking in flavor. The meatballs were a bit undercooked to our liking but the flavor was great. The smashburger was perfection, but the jalapeño's were superrrr spicy (very fresh tho!!). Prime rib sandwich was great! This place is awful. It's run very poorly. The host is overwhelmed because the manager is overwhelmed. It's Saturday night in Yorkville. No need to be overwhelmed The food is not good. Lacks flavor and does not seem fresh. I can not recommend this place under any circumstance . It doesn't feel clean or organized. Denise S postered a reply that is completely false. Another example of inappropriate behavior. Nobody yelled. Nobody demanded anything. We quite literally asked what they wanted us to do since they asked us to sit down but didn't have chairs. We literally were just waiting in the entrance and they didn't like that so asked us to sit down but didn't give seats. Doesn't make sense. So again Denise S. Is completely wrong and lying. Nobody was angry, or being disrespectful to anyone. Denise wasn't even there so they're just lying and is definitely out of line and clearly an angry person who is not honest and does not run a restaurant well, Good luck in life. Great ambiance and cocktails. Smashburger was realluy good but the fries were not fresh. I'll definitely give them another chance.

Second visit and we found the food to be fabulous. Both trips I had a pasta dish and they were both perfectly cooked and delicious. And some decent wines. read more

Cool vibes with the lighted bar and menus! The menu has quite a few varieties (try the meatballs for apps) to choose from and service was very good. We came from out of town for a wedding and was quite surprised to find this gem. read more

Had high hopes for this place. The ambiance is great, beautiful inside. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The martinis are delicious and well balanced, but they aren't served full. A martini pour should hit the rim, not halfway. Where they really fell short was the food. The bread for the bruschetta was so hard it was basically a crouton which made it super hard to eat. We shared a flatbread and the Molto Bella pasta and both were incredibly bland. The sauce had no flavor at all and tasted like mush. Very underwhelming. I would recommend this place for a cocktail date, but pass on the food. read more

Party of 4 went to The Vault on a Saturday evening, with no reservations the wait time was approximately 30-35 mins, no big deal we found a local establishment nearby until our table was ready. Everyone at the Vault Including, workers and patrons were all very friendly. Food and drinks were very good and in a timely manner. The vault is a well put together place. I would recommend this place to others as a monthly date night. The only issue I noticed, is that it does get very cramped in there when it's busy. There isn't much room to get up and move around without bumping into someone, especially if you get a table by the bar . It's something I can live with though. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. The atmosphere is so cozy and upscale. One of my favorite places in Yorkville by far! The service is amazing and the food and drinks are outstanding! Definitely stop in! AWESOME!! My sister took me here and I wasn't sure what to expect from downtown Yorkville...this place is so cute, so nicely decorated, FANTASTIC service, great music and literally the best cocktail I've ever had. It was part of their February special menu and had elderberry, Prosecco and some other stuff in a beautiful fancy cocktail glass with ice shaped like a rose...I mean the attention to detail was awesome. Absolutely one of the best places in the area to enjoy a cocktail and socialize. Maybe even a meal. The ambiance is second to none in the Yorkville area. Very clean and organized. The service was great. The bar is very impressive and stocked with many choices to choose from. Definitely a place to try if you're in the area.
