Love this location. First time visit for brunch. Glad we did. Variety of choices on the menu. comfort food with a very creative twist. People were super nice and the restaurant was clean and well appointed. We dined on the patio with misters. Very comfortable, with a huge tree providing ample shade and ambiance. Had the Birria beef empanadas w hollandaise. Delicious. Others had the hot chicken sandwich, Turkey club, and avocado toast. All well portioned and delicious. And fairly priced. We started with the cinnamon rolls. Loved the cream cheese frosting. Could have been a bit warmer. With the frosting melting over the roll. It was presented in a cast iron skillet. Noted by the food runner as very hot. But that was not the case. Overall good and would order it again. Some noted that the mimosa was not as potent as they'd hoped. Hostess was not kind at all (wore a demon top that tied in the back with white jeans) & was not helpful when we were asking suggestions for seating. Instead of being considerate of our preferences we were greeted with rudeness and disrespect. The outdoor patio seating in March/April is perfect here. With the area exploding with new restaurants every month, this has become a solid staple when in the area. On a Saturday early eve, we got lucky and probably just missed the crowd. The Vig Burger remains a classic and this time around we also had the Hot Crispy Chicken sandwich (Nashville style is not a trend, it's a way of life for some haha) and ventured off the beaten path and I went with the Steak Frites. We sat on the couches so a bit more effort when it comes to eating at your knee level, but it didn't' change anything as far as our experience. Staff was masked up and kudos to the young man who was on top of removing dishes and cleaning tables. Best I've seen during the pandemic. Mask are required but like many places, once you're seated, it's a wrap. People were placing masks when leaving the tables (to leave or bathroom) and that's appreciated, but that can change at any time. read more

Wish we had this where I live! Met a local friend here for brunch, his usual meetup place when friends come in our out of Phoenix since it's so close to airport. Nice comfortable indoor and outdoor seating areas. A lot of choices for brunch, lunch, dinner. We had one vegan who was happy with her salad, nice choices of Mexican influenced breakfasts. Jasmine was an awesome server! The bar manager is awesome too! We had our holiday lunch there this week and it was so much fun. The food was so yummy. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the brussel sprouts salad. The shrimp was a little too salty and some of the brussel sprouts weren't fully cooked, but overall it was a tasty meal. Great neighborhood staple! Immediately off the bat, it's off a main road with some parking but not a lot. Vibes are modern and moody with a dark ambiance inside and brighter seating on their open outdoor section as well. Weather was great today but they clearly have a lot of curtains to prevent it from getting too hot (or try to). Drinks- hubby had the daily mule special which was a cucumber kiwi tequila drink. Delicious, refreshing, crisp. I tried three different cocktails- all delicious. Overall, expect drinks to be $14-20 each. The cocktail with melon liquor was my favorite (with edible flower in pic below). The watermelon one was more sweet so I wish it had some chili salt or something to offset it but still tasty. The bennet and bubbles drink in champagne glass had fresh lemon juice and was very tasty. Drinks were pricey but worth it. Food- shishito peppers were AMAZING. That chili garlic sauce is so, so delicious. I wish I could put it on all my vegetables. Not spicy. Excellent app for us not feeling too hungry. After all the cocktails, we also indulged in the butterscotch bread pudding- delicious. The butterscotch added almost like a caramelized glaze. Tasted similar to monkey bread for this reason. Bit of ice cream on top paired very nicely. Service was a little slow, but our waitress had great recommendations. Excited to go back for a girls night or date night! read more

This was by far the worst dining experience I think I have ever had in Phoenix. Just left here after a dinner with a couple of friends. There was one single server for the entire place from what I could see. Our server was noticeably agitated and extremely short with us. The food was okay at best. Our queso app was served cold as if it had been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Server also rushed us to leave. We will not be returning here. The owners should be alarmed with how this establishment is being run. This is not a place you can visit and enjoy yourself, period. So many better establishments to give business to that actually want you there. read more

Ate here with some girlfriends for a nice evening out. Food was great and the atmosphere was pleasant but it was freezing inside. They had the doors open and it was way too cold. All of us kept our coats on the whole time and at multiple times we commented on how cold we were. Our server was nice and our food took a little longer than expected (we didn't even notice because we were talking and enjoying our company) but she gave us a free dessert to enjoy for the wait. Positives: excellent flavors, very fast service. Negatives: value for price just wasn't there in 4 of 5 entrees, enchiladas and tacos, not nearly enough to fill an adult. The "side" for the tacos was 4 chips and a dollop of guacamole. Brussel Sprout salad, too small, and had 1, maybe 2 chopped up Brussel Sprouts in a sea of spinach. The optional chicken in all of the salads was pretty meager. The place is open air and was too cold on a December evening. The chick peas in on of the salads, which numbered in the dozens were like eating tasteless dried out, unsalted saltine crackers. We had a reservation, but got what was probably the worst table for 5 in the place. If it were an option I would give a 3 1/2 stars. read more

The Vig is my new favorite restaurant. They have both my favorites...a delicious chicken sandwich and onion rings. OMG sooooo good. I love everything about the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The size, the amount of sauce, the flavor, the portions size, the pickles, sauteed jalapenos(was an add-on) no cole slaw. It's the best. Amazing!! It was my first time trying The Vig while a family member was in town visiting and it was a great spot. We opted to sit on their patio since they had the misters going it was perfect temperature, super comfortable and relaxing all while it was still 103 degrees outside. Our server was amazing and accommodated us when we wanted to switch to sit outside. He gave us great recommendations and was super helpful. We decided to each order an aperol spritz which always hits the spot, paired with calamari to start. The sauce that came with the calamari was so delicious. For our main we shared their "Genuine Cheeseburger" the vig sauce that came on it really made the burger. We paired it with sweet potato fries which were also so yummy. I visited after a bad experience a year ago (bad service) but wanted to give it another try. Even for bar food, the food is abysmal. Overly salted appetizers and pork tacos where I had to spit large pieces of fat out which is embarrassing. My husband ordered sliders and when I tasted half all I could smell was FISH. I let them know but the damage was done. I also think the margaritas are from a premade bag that comes in bulk. Save yourself from a bad evening and go anywhere else. read more

Came here to watch the basketball playoff and some dinner. The staff were nice enough to put the game on since no one else was watching the TV anyway. The outdoor patio area is comfortable and although it was about 100, the mister fans made it incredibly much cooler and comfortable. The staff were mostly attentive when i arrived and made my first order of the happy hour street tacos which were delicious. An hour later my waitress informed me she was leaving for the evening and asked if she could close out my tab and another waitress would take care of me, which was perfectly fine. No other waitress checked in with me after that. I eventually flagged down one of the other staff to place an order. Came here because my work hosted a holiday get-together. We were out on the patio, which was very nice. Heaters and the fireplace added to the warmth. Work provided a couple of appetizers; chips and dip and edamame. The salsa and guac that came with the chips were both good, very little spice to either one. The chips were crisp and thin. The edamame was nothing special, although I feel like it had a tad too much salt sprinkled on them. The menu offers many options, from burgers and salads to main dishes. Co-worker ordered the poke bowl, which was served with some beautiful cubes of fresh tuna along with a center pile of black rice and along the sides of the bowl, some mixed veggies that were cut unevenly and actually way to think. We were thinking a slaw would have been a better option. No dressing was served so when asked, the server brought over a bowl of seasoned soy sauce. Overall, my co-worker was not wowed and ended up leaving about half of the rice and veggies...she did finish the tuna though! Others in our party ordered the port sliders and one person sent them back because she said they were full of onions and she just didn't care for them. Two people ordered the roasted brussel sprouts, which were more steamed than roasted. They both said previous visits provided much better sprouts. I ordered the chicken thighs where were served on a place with a layer of tomato sauce, which had no seasoning, on which was a pile of pearl couscous and some chopped up asparagus and artichoke hearts. The dish seemed very disjointed and I really didn't get how the components fit together. I will say the thighs were good and tender and the skin was nicely browned and crispy. Overall, repeat customers in the party said it must have been an off-night because they indicated that they have had much better food in previous visits. My...my first time there...most likely would not be back. I went back and forth about two or three stars and ultimately chose three because of the ambiance and our server was very attentive and efficient. Those of us who used the ladies room laughed because when you entered, you were hit with a heat wave and staying in there too long would give you heat stroke! I also wanted to add that my bill alone was $30 and all I had was the chicken thighs and a bottle of Pellegrino. Very pricey for something that was just meh. read more

My sister and I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. They don't have a waitlist to join anymore which is a bummer but we were able to get a seat right away. I ordered a cosmopolitan to start. I felt it was a bit weak so I didn't enjoy it as much. They have a really big menu. My sister ordered the tomato soup with with a grilled cheese sandwich. I got to try it and it was really good. I ordered the fish and chips which was also pretty good as well. Since they have a pretty big menu, I definitely would want to come back to try some more items. They also have a brunch menu and happy hour from Monday to Friday 3-6 I believe. The only downside for me is they don't take reservations and there's no waitlist and they are pretty far from me. read more
