We have now hosted and attended so many events at this venue that the staff is recognizing my husband and by staff, I mean bartender. Most recently we hosted my parents' 80th birthday celebration. My mom is a heavy duty planner and worrier so I am sure glad we chose this venue again to ease some of that worry (for me at least). While being a host: I appreciate the effortless venue planning here. The setup is charming and we aren't worried about being nickle and dimed for extras like colors of napkins. The staff is incredible. I am of the mindset of treating everyone like a friend/family and I find that usually brings out the best or worst in people. The servers, chefs, bartender, etc. were all so amazing. By the end of the night I thought my husband was going to stay and hang out with them. The guests: The food! Spectacular. Honestly, every single time we attend an event here we can't get enough of the food. I had the kids at this party asking if they could get seconds. Rusty and Angel, new besties. I am exhausted but the guests had a blast and felt super comfortable here. If I had any low points I felt we communicated with each other like people should and everything went great. If you're a super nit picky, control freaky, high maintenance individual, don't come here. We don't want you to abuse the hardworking, amazing staff with your attitude. read more

Went here on a Saturday night for a friends 50th birthday party. They have a big parking lot with free parking. When you enter the building it really does look like a villa with a small garden out front. It's a great place to take pictures, especially at golden hour. We entered the venue and were so pleased to see flowers and decor. There also was a great wall that made for a very nice photo spot. The food at the buffet was good. The chicken that they served was moist, and we liked the variety of other salads and side dishes as well. The DJ set up was really fun and there was lots of space for different tables, mingling dancing, and the bartender was super great as well. read more

I attended an educational presentation here. The place was beautiful with friendly, helpful staff. The food was delicious (not sure who catered it though). The sound system was fair but you could still hear the speaker fairly well without a microphone. I would recommend a light at night in the entryway to help facility visual field as you exit and walk to your car. It was pretty dark. read more

About two months ago I was invited to a Fancy baby celebration. On that occasion the bar was not open but the prices were reasonable. They offered a lunch menu w sandwiches and salads. The actual venue atmosphere as you walk in it has accents of a Spanish Hacienda e lots of pretty flowers surrounding the water fountain. Now a week ago we were again invited to same venue. Now this was a Law Graduation and naturally the crowd was sophisticated and yes w a open bar. Great spirit selection w some amazing Tequila choices. The dinner menu consistent of rare boneless prime rib on its juice. That was flavorful or a choice of chicken w some juice I dunno I went for the prime rib w salad. Lots of food to feed all of us three times. The inside of the venue is really big and w a open back patio that leads to the parking lot. Our two times visiting this fine establishment our same blonde blue eye girl was our server. Just a lovely lady and fast. The rest of the kitchen crew was attentive to our needs. Had our annual Christmas party at this the villa. A group of guest were walking in with beverages and a server stopped them at the door and politely said we can't bring in our own beverage and said it was ok to finish them outside before entry. They apologized and did as asked. A few minutes later the bartender came out and aggressively snatched everyone's drinks out of their hand without saying a word. Everyone proceeded inside to enjoy the food and gift raffle. After we ate the bartender again came to one of the tables and began again aggressively confronting some of the guest saying someone assaulted one of the servers. We asked to watch the cameras but he refused. He proceeded to kick out three of the guest and a threatened to call the police. Come to find out one of the guest gave a pat on the back to a server. After which he closed the entire bar to everyone 1 hour into our 3 hour reservation time. The entire staff seemed very annoyed to be working as it was. We will no longer be going back to this place. They're nice upfront but be careful planning any event here. read more

I just finished helping organize a Celebration of Life event at The Villa and it was outstanding start to finish. By helping I meant the venue offers so much I didn't have to do much at all. Tim the manager was easy to work with, knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone from the bar tender to wait staff to chef's were excellent. This is a venue that provides everything (within reason) that we needed from music to tables to a great buffet. I had to give a star but would have given a "No Star Review!" Owner doesn't deserve it! I have been recommending his venue to MANY for church funeral receptions. Not anymore. He was absolutely rude to my daughter who went to view the venue with her fiancé. We met with Angel the first time who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She set another appointment to meet with the owner so her fiancé could see the venue, the owner never showed up. Her fiancé drove from L.A. She gave the owner a second chance and set another appointment. This time the owner couldn't be bothered with questions, was rude and dismissive. I will no longer be referring him and I will be sure to tell the other surround churches about his lack of interest as he is only in it for the money. Recently, we held a celebration of life luncheon at the The Villa and we were very pleased with the event. First, during looking for a location in December and booking with only a week notice, Tim was very accommodating and quick to respond to my inquires. Because of the holidays, the location was beautifully decorated and the table settings with center piece came included in the price. The food came out of the kitchen warm and delicious. Choosing the Villa was the best choice we ever made. Kathy and Tim were two of the most helpful, caring, and wonderful people we have ever met. They worked with us throughout our whole wedding planning and made us feel so comfortable that we now consider them an extension of our newly formed family. Venue was lovely. Food was great. The set up and overall design of the space was beautiful. I would give 5 stars on the venue but 1 star on the staff/owner. So I'm am compromising with 3 stars. I'm going to be simple and to the point. The reason I am not giving a more positive and glowing review with 5 stars overall is because of one thing: The bartender/owner. He struggled with drink recipes and was not on point with how to make certain drinks. The lemons and limes were out early in the evening and not replenished. The owner of the venue was acting as a bartender and we felt this was highly inappropriate. His attitude was nasty and he was extremely rude to the guests. The messages are still poring in with how disappointed people were in the service. He should of hired a more experienced bar tender with a better attitude. We received multiple complaints about the bar. It was supposed to be an "open bar", but that was not the case. Many guests were denied a drink or were told they couldn't have another. There were no visibly intoxicated guests in the room. We were bewildered to why we were being "cut off" with no explanation. One of the guests who is a very respected doctor, actually called him an "ass***e" to his face. We had a federal Judge as a guest who said that this guy should not be behind the bar serving guests. His demeanor was surly, snarky, and overall very frosty. After the money spent on this venue for a 50th wedding celebration, you would expect to have a more friendly person serving drinks to your guests. We are so embarrassed with the amount of complaints that are rolling in. This really put a damper on an extremely momentous celebration. One last thing, two of our guests had their vehicles broken into during the event. They had diabetes medication stolen along with other valuables. This is not the fault of the venue, but perhaps they should provide some security in the parking lot. If you are booking an event here, please advise your guests to not leave anything in their cars because this venue is a target for criminals to strike knowing there are people celebrating an important event inside, with their guards down. To sum up, nice venue but with one major set back: the owner. He should not be behind the bar. He should hire someone with more experience and with a more sunny disposition. Moreover, he should not be tied up behind the bar but rather available to his paying customers. It seemed to us that he was more interested in the "bottom line" and making a buck, rather than providing excellent customer service. Unfortunately this unprofessional situation compromised the overall experience, thus only 3 out of 5 stars. Hopefully he can take this review with a grain of salt and make improvements. But after dealing with him yesterday, I'm skeptical. read more

In the planning stages for my wedding reception, all calls and emails were responded to quickly, and she was always very pleasant. Don't think of this place just for weddings. The Orange County Ronald McDonald House uses this venue for various events. We just had a kick off breakfast for our Annual Walk for Kids fundraiser here and I was so impressed with Tim and his crew. We wanted to set up the day before the breakfast and even though they had an event the day before, Tim and his staff turned the room over (clean) for us to setup in 30mins post event. I don't know how to start this trying to be nice the venue is a beautiful location and that's about it the food was so horrific I do not recommend anyone paying more than a dollar 99 per plate for the quality of food that they served at a 350 person Gathering. I read the reviews I read the website presentation and they are right it is a beautiful venue but as far as their catering quality of food again I would not pay very much at all the fettuccine sauce was so watery and tasted like you're eating something your children would make with Play-Doh the chicken was processed to death actually cut into it and looked at it and it look like deli meat pressed together horrific and like I said I'm trying to be nice but I got to save you guys this pain have pain for food that has no business being on somebody's plate I do not recommend it find yourself a good caterer that serves real chicken breast that serves real fettuccine sauce absolutely unacceptable food. Venue was very pretty, the food was very good and had several complements. We had several guests say that the bartender who we think is the owner was extremely rude to several of the guests. This was a celebration and all of the guests should have been treated with respect and they were not. The event was over at ten and as we were gathering gifts and saying goodbye to guests Tim said lights out and said time to go! This was rude and uncalled for. After reading some of the reviews I decided to write this. I was there last night and i order a Margarita with Don Julio tequila because their well tequila (Moctezuma) is crap. The male Bartender had no problem serving it. Second time around the female Bartender with the 20,000 dollar ring told me that Don Julio was more expensive, $20.00 a shot to be exact. This was an open Bar event. The first question in my mind was if this is an open Bar and Don Julio is more expensive, isn't this good for business??? The second question in my mind was, are you a discriminating me??? May be you don't think i deserve to have Don Julio??? Wherever i did not want to make a scene so I left it alone. I was told by a server she is related to the owner. Aha!!! thats why she was trying to serve all the cheap stuff the less expensive stuff they serve the more money in their pocket. On Oct. 4, 2014, our wedding was held at The "Villa". My wife researched several venue's before we choose the villa. Our chose for holding the wedding/reception was spot on.
