I love this place, it's an incredibly tiny restaurant but they have added additional seating. Their menu is pretty basic and it's posted on a TV inside and you order at a register. Their scrambled eggs are really dry every time I've ordered them but the bacon is incredible. The waffles come in pretty small portions but they're awesome every time. I ordered the triple berry with Nutella waffle with scrambled eggs (3) and bacon. Their coffee is also really basic diner coffee. Still an incredible place to go! You have to get there right at opening in order to get a table because everyone who's gone here before knows seating is absurd. I also wish this restaurant was open earlier- they don't open earlier than 9am any day. I'm an early bird and would go here much more often if they had earlier hours. read more

The actual waffle was very good. Disappointed at how little toppings were on it. Canoli pic looked nothing like what I got. Cookie Monster was even worse, barely anything on it. For that price, I expected a little more. Now, let's talk about service. Staff was really nice, but it was a cluster f. It was PACKED. No where to sit. Waffles were coming out really slow. We decided to just make it take out. It's so small with no room to move. Everyone in top of each other. The fact that we had to stand (in everyone's way) waiting for the order for 42 minutes was outrageous! They are just waffles. Then had to sit outside in the cold, on a bench to eat. This place could be fantastic, but there were a lot of unhappy people due to wait time & lack of seating. They should have more waffle irons or a better system to move people in & out faster. There were people that walked up, opened door & left. Every Time I looked in the dining room for a place to sit there was no more than 1, maybe 2 tables with food. Everyone else just waiting. There are only about 12 tables in the whole,place. It's small. I understand it can get busy, but that's an extremely long wait time, after ordering completed, to wait for a waffle that I was done eating in like 3 minutes. Again, as I said, the actual waffle was excellent. Would have been better warm. It's incredibly trendy, worth checking out if you are a waffle lover. Breakfast was decent. I got waffles Benedict, and my eggs and waffle were both slightly overcooked. I didn't like how disorganized and in disarray things seemed when you first walk-in. The Good: My wife enjoyed her waffle. The Bad: There were only 6 other patrons there yet barely a place to sit. We ordered a triple berry waffle, apple pie waffle, and two eggs. A family of six came in awhile after us yet ordered, paid, were served, ate, and left before we even got a single item. Actually I lied, I got a can of coke that was actually cold. After 45 minutes of waiting they informed us that they did not have the ingredients to make the apple pie waffle nor the eggs! Are you serious?! I normally wouldn't order waffles at any restaurant for breakfast because my expectations are way too high. With that being said, I happily go out of my way whenever possible to enjoy the wonderful waffles  at the Waffle Factory!     LISTEN. These are not your normal-tasting  waffles. I'm guessing it's because of the pearl sugar they use and I heard half the ingredients are actually imported. These waffles are the PERFECT SWEETNESS - don't need syrup at all! The Belgian waffles pair excellent with a wide variety of food items; personally, I enjoy the  smoky pulled pork, which I recommend with a side of scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese. Their eggs Benedict is on par with the best of them. There are so many options to choose: from fruit toppings to ice cream... of course their wafflewich ice cream sandwich is amazing with their imported cookie butter (if you're not familiar with cookie butter...I'm so sorry... BUT also excited for you to fall in love! Imagine if peanut butter tasted like snickerdoodles... that's cookie butter - but better!)  The owner Nick is a young professional who has been there every time I've stopped in. You can tell he is committed to constantly improving an already amazing concept because there are new specials often. Which will keep you coming back  for more!  The pulled pork I mentioned is one of those specials.  I almost forgot to mention their fresh-squeezed O.J! Same or similar machine to Wegmans.  Although this is my first yelp review, I've been to and enjoy Atlas Eats, Simply Crepes, Brownhound Downtown, The Village Bakery, James Brown, and the like. Take my word for it, you're missing out the longer you wait to try the Waffle Factory. These are some serious Belgian waffles, the likes of which I have not had in Rochester, only NYC and Toronto ! They are made with dough instead of batter, it is very dense yet stil manages to be light at the same time. Today I went with the maple bacon I prefered this one over the sweeter choices I sampled on previous visits just because I'm more of a savory bfast person. The bacon was super crispy and the perfect compliment to the sweet maple syrup and waffle. Don't expect your food to appear super fast as it's all made to order and yes the space is small but you can also order to-go which is what I did today. Real fresh squeezed orange juice is available and certainly the drink to order alongside your waffle! read more

The space between ordering and eating is awkward; changing the place of menu would be easier to access-- or organizing it by category would make it easier to see all that the Waffle Factory has to offer. Love this place, so cute inside! The milkshakes are delicious and some of them come fancy with stuff on top, I got the dirt and worms one and it was a cookies and cream milkshake with whipped cream, crumbled oreos, and gummy worms on top. Fantastic homemade orange juice too. The waffles are a little overpriced for what you get in my opinion, it's just one square waffle but they do all have fancy toppings. This place has so many creative options to dress up your waffle! The food was really good, got a side of sausage & it was hands down the best sausage I've ever had!! Staff was friendly & accommodating. Seems to be a really popular place & only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the size of the place. Came in during a week day. The owner, Nick, made some great suggestions but I had my heart set on the banana and Nutella waffle. I had the choice between two cute and cozy rooms to sit in. This place is warm, cute, nice ambiance with perfect music, and amazing waffles. We went in for the first time today and had the Strawbella, Rasboreos, and the Living Italian waffles. I loved all three. My only suggestion is to retrain front end staff. Since this place is fairly new, it'd be nice to have a friendly face instructing you on what to do. The young boy cashier was off-putting and barely spoke above a whisper when telling us how the purchase and seating process worked. He barely handed me back my debit card and was overall just rude and apathetic. Good thing the waffles were so delicious. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when we went to the waffle factory for dinner. We were greeted by Nick with a smile and a great explanation of what we could get, basically anything we wanted. There were so many choices!! The waffle was different than anything I've ever had. It was dense and sweet. I had the Egg Benedict waffle. It was a great balance of sweet and savory...my favorite! I would highly recommend this little gem of a place. You can tell they love what they do and want their customers to be happy. Thank you for a great experience. Good food I'm not a huge fan of dense waffles I prefer fluffy ((could be the mentality of what a traditional waffle is)) takes a while to get a waffle, 25 mins for us today others were visibly and verbally impatient as well today. We love the waffles! They are different from a typical diner or chain waffle; they have a great homemade taste and aren't overly sweet. Lots of combinations to choose from. Amazing waffles. Very small establishment, so if it's busy expect to wait a bit for a table or if the weather is nice get it to go and eat at the park next door. Really cool mix of modern and vintage in the decor. Not the best place for groups and prices arent your average diner fare so I wouldn't exactly make this a daily breakfast spot but great for a treat or breakfast date. Love the expanded menu/hours adding ice cream and some more breakfast items. read more
