a half eaten piece of food

I tried the chicken and waffles yesterday when they were hired by our office building the breading on the chicken tasted wonderful HOWEVER I have now been sick for 2 days. I did post a review on their Facebook page but the deleted it. raw chicken is gross and very dangerous

Just tried the waffle truck. So far it's only open on weekends, and the flavor a will vary from week to week. Today's flavor a were almond and the other cinnamon & sugar. The price of each waffle is $4.50 which I thought was kinda steep, I can understand $3.50 but the coffee was FREE. The flavored if the waffles are quite good, the coffee just is normal.... Could be a better flavored coffee. A few things if recommend for them, umbrellas, and a welcome area to sit. That sun is rough... And it's a parking lot - standing on your feet while you eat.. I'd recommend paying for a better tasting coffee and lower priced waffle. Overall, unique experience for a foodie. I'd recommend. Worth checking out.

Big Red Truck, oh how I love you so! Your waffles tickle my fancy, from savory to sweet their varieties go. Prices all under $10 seems quite fair, my $5 Apple Pie Liege Waffle left me with a few bites to spare. I was on my way to Bier Station to meet my mom for lunch and happened to spy a lonely food truck parked along the Trolley Track Trail with a plastic white picnic table set up in a self-serve parking lot area. There was one patron enjoying some type of waffle in a cardboard bowl and two "bros" manning the interior of the truck. The menu was simple, with two $5 varieties of simple Liege Waffles and then a slider special for $8 and chicken and waffles (I believe this is what is served in the cup apparatus) so, I quickly decided on the super sweet sounding Apple Pie Liege Waffle. The product overall was definitely delicious however, the texture was more sweet-bread other than waffle. What I mean is, the fluffy pockets that distinguish a good waffle from an 24/7 breakfast chain's floppy soppy barely passing Belgium impostors were not really apparent in my Apple Pie Liege Waffle, now perhaps I'm just not familiar with the "Liege" style of Waffle. What I can say for sure is if you see this Big Red Truck-STOP FOR WAFFLES! It's a fun experience and concept for a food truck and great to have in KC. Post Script. The crystallized sugar could literally be consumed as candy especially if you were one of those kids who ate the sugar cubes during the art projects :P

Oh my word - I love The Waffler. My husband and I were driving to get coffee last weekend when we spotted this beautiful red food truck. We immediately cut through three lanes of traffic, pulled a u-turn and parked. As we walked up, we met The Waffler himself and he welcomed us to his truck while explaining the current specials. This guy is legit. He seriously remembered everyone and greeted each person. My husband got the Maple Pecan waffle and I got their new Chicken & Waffles. It was heaven. Period. We will definitely be stalking the truck's location and be back for more.

Very unique thing for Kansas City! These waffles are traditional Belgian liege waffles, and "The Waffler," Russell, does a great job. We had two waffles - the original, and the Orange Danish flavor. Both were great, and when Russell told us about some of his upcoming flavors, I was already planning my next trip! The truck and its owner seem charitable and very connected with the community. The tip jar always goes to a local charity. Check Twitter to find out where it is parked each weekend! We caught it in Waldo. This food truck is such a fun treat and a welcome addition to the area!

I've been trying to track this food truck down for a while now and today was the second time I've tried these waffles. The first time, I had the maple & bacon ones. This time, I had the orange danish and classic. Simply put the orange danish and classic ones blew me away. They were perfectly cooked in my opinion having a nice crust on the outside and a little chewy on the inside. The classic has a really good vanilla flavor and the orange danish ones were simply the best waffle I've ever had. The unique sugar he uses also adds a nice touch to compliment the waffle. It's probably a good thing he is a little hard to catch up with and find because I would probably stop wherever he is daily to get these. I can't wait to try the rest of his flavors!

My granddaughter is now a believer - they don't make waffles like this in TX.

Excellent. Reminds me of my favorite European waffle experienced in Amsterdam. Worth a drive. Worth a bicycle ride. Worth a bus ride. Whatever it takes - go try this man's waffle. You will not be disappointed.

The Waffler serves their fine fare in a cup. I have plated it here for viewing convenience.

I was a bit underwhelmed. My dad makes gluten free pecan waffles on Sundays and I prefer my dad's. Oh well.

They are great waffles for a breakfast but not impressive as a dessert. A caramel sauce would go a long way.

We got the Arugula Salad, the Fried Chicken and Biscuits, and a Pancake with strawberries and blueberries on the side. The salad was really fresh, biscuit had the homemade taste and wasn't too dry, and the pancake was very fluffy and went great with the maple syrup and fruits. The chicken was a little dry, but was still good when you eat it with the biscuits and gravy. The server was really friendly, but it felt like they were a little short-staffed because they didn't check on us often and the food took over 30 minutes to be served. Other than that, I would definitely come back again!

The team was very busy having multiple tables at once, the bartender as well she had the bar and a section or two of tables, she was nice enough to advise us of that. I like when servers and everyone are honest and don't leave you hanging, we had enough time to review the menu we ordered drinks and our food, the wait for the food was awhile but with it because it was so good! I ordered the chicken biscuit with the hot honey chipotle sauce with a scrambled egg on top. The food was amazing! And even though the bartender was busy she was helpful and friendly, I would definitely recommend this place is your in downtown Kansas City, next time I'm in town I will definitely be back!

You've got the best neighborhood charm, the BEST breakfast and lunch fare, and honestly some of the nicest folks in town working. I had a seasonal item, a breakfast torta, and honestly it was one of those meals where I was full halfway through but kept eating because it was just that good. Can't wait to return.

The sandwich came on this thick toast that was super crunchy, in a good way. The inside had Fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and some aioli that tied everything together without being too much. It wasn't greasy, just rich and satisfying. I had fresh fruit on the side, which I appreciated after that salty-savory hit from the sandwich. What surprised me was how filling it was. I wasn't hungry again for hours, but I didn't feel gross after eating it. The coffee was bottomless and good. The vibe inside was chill, cozy, kind of like hanging out in someone's artsy kitchen. The staff was friendly! I loved all the fresh flowers and artwork adorning the tables and bulletin board. It added a nice touch to the eclectic vibe.

The options are endless (seriously, you'd have to stay all day to try everything), but that's the fun of it--trying a little of everything. The mini waffles were the highlight: fresh, soft, and fluffy with a cranberry sauce that was chef's kiss. Plus, the cutest little individual syrups. Crispy bacon, made-to-order eggs, and flavorful breakfast potatoes with peppers were all on point. They also go way beyond breakfast--fried chicken, mac and cheese, fresh fruit, salads, shrimp with cocktail sauce, and tons of desserts. And being inside Union Station makes it even better. It's beautiful, spacious, and open, with high ceilings that make it feel like you're not even in the Midwest. Come hungry--you'll want to try it all.

Union Station is absolutely beautiful and worth stopping in to see if you've never been there! We knew we were going to visit the station and looked up restaurants to see if anything looked good. Harvey's menu caught our eyes, with its southern flare, and luckily didn't require reservations. My grandmother, Aunt, and myself were all seated quickly, and our waitress asked for and brought us our drinks out super fast. The restaurant was a little loud seeing as how it's inside of a train station full of people! With that being said, I've been in louder restaurants and this wasn't that bad. I ordered Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles with a cup of Gumbo, my Aunt ordered the Gourmet Grilled Cheese with Sweet Potato Fries, and my grandma ordered a Prime Rib French dip. We all shared hot pimento cheese dip. First of all that cheese dip was to die for. I've only ever had cold pimento cheese and was not a fan... obviously it's because hot pimento cheese is the way to go!!! My Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles was amazing. I think the waffle batter needed a little salt, but otherwise it was perfect. The gumbo was a little spicy and packed with flavor... just the way I like it!! My grandma's French dip thankfully on soft bread for her to eat, and the meat was sliced thin enough for her to chew. My auntie ordered the gourmet grilled cheese, and that thing was on firrreeee!! Her sweet potato fries came with a side of marshmallow fluff that had cinnamon in it, she was literally scraping the cup of that clean! We noticed they have a breakfast buffet on the weekends and one coming up for Mother's Day, that we might make reservations for!!! The food was fantastic and we seriously can't wait to go back for more.
