A perfect place to meet up with friends or to have a chill coffee date. The chai tea is so delicious and the mexican kolache is my absolute favorite. The service is great and I noticed they sell coffee blends which I plan to checkout during my next visit.

I wanted to try the kolaches in KC and this was the closest one to my hotel. The server was really nice and patient with me. He gave good recommendations! The inside was clean and bright which is nice. The flavour was pretty good, unfortunately, I didn't get to try them while they were warm and fresh so maybe that made my experience not as great. Will definitely come back next time I'm around the area and try it fresh!

I absolutely loved this place! First time trying it and I have nothing to say besides you should probably visit. They have many different seating options ranging from a bench, couch, hightop, bar, and regular table. They offer different flavor kolaches for every style whether you want breakfast or lunch, spice or not. They have fruit open kolaches which were amazing and not too sweet but not plain at all. I tried a little of each but all were breakfast ones and the German and Mexican were my favorite, super savory and good flavor. The rest were mainly egg-y and just not my cup of tea. I also tried their iced chai made with a dulce de leche syrup which was really good, I did add two sugars because it was slightly plain at first. Also tried their blue (hibiscus matcha) which was the same needing some sugar to actually get the flavor but still really good and not a flavor of matcha you see all the time. Staff was super patient as we looked at the menu and they have a Sunday family deal where you buy 5 and get 2 free. Got there around 9:30 and there was hardly anyone there. Majority of people took it to go or had pickup orders.

Love this place! I learned about them through Yelp and loved it so had to come back and write a review. This time I had the Mexican and Veggie kolaches and a chai latte. It's hard for me to imagine not getting the Mexican every time. Nice spice level from the chorizo and great flavor. The kolaches here taste so fresh, perfect temp. They also have a great selection; likely something for everyone. My first time was around 7am on a weekday. It wasn't at all busy at that time. This time we came around lunch time on the weekend and there was a good crowd but not too busy. Definitely somewhere you've gotta try!

After stopping in and seeing the menu, I'm coming back! The kolaches were delicious and the cold brew hit the spot for the afternoon grind. I tried the kolache with the bacon, egg and cheese and the one with jalapeño, cream cheese and bacon. They have both sweet and savory options. This is a family owned and run business which creates a welcoming environment. They were friendly and helpful. I will be back to try the other delicious flavors as well as an affogato.

Arriving in the nick of time! Gerardo and Gem, the owners were so kind and helpful! I learned their upon their one year anniversary this May which is wonderful for small business. The Cafe is upscale decor and plenty of seating options! You have front row view to the goodies and getting the staffs opinion doesn't hurt either! I selected a variety to try from this cafe including their empanadas which aren't fried but baked! Bonus on healthy side! All were scrumptious, bursting with flavor as described.. chicken or pepperoni! I'll be back to try more for sure!

This place is really cute. The closed kolaches are killer. The dough is soft and chewy. I tried the Mexican and the Texan at the shop. They warm them in the store and it is perfect. Each comes marked with letters that are also on the menu so you can tell each one apart. Both were just what I wanted. The Mexican was spicy and the Texan was a breakfast plate all packed inside. I took home a box full including a blueberry open kolache. Can't wait for the morning. Service is kind and gave great recommendation. The coffee bar has lots of options for both coffee and chai drinks.

Kolaches & Coffee will warm your heart. This sweet pastry shop located in Overland Park, Kansas treats you to a culture fusion that is enchanting. We love a husband & wife team! Bringing flavors from a Czech & Mexican background into every menu item. If you are savory or sweet fan they have options for everyone. I was amazed at the selection of Kolaches, Lattes and Pastries. A few of my favorites... - Ardiente Kolache: Bacon, Jalapeño & Cream Cheese - Mexican Kolache: Chorizo, Jalapeño, Egg & Cheese - Cinnamon Roll: sweet and super soft - Ruby Bliss Latte: Red Velvet cake flavor The kolaches were soft, flavorful and best I have had locally. Great fusion of flavors. The latte was bold and just what I needed to kick off my day. The space is beautiful with great natural light. Super friendly owners and staff. Can't wait to return!

KolacWake up & smell the coffee Kansas City! Have you heard of this culturally unique pastry shop in Overland Park, Kansas?!?! A husband & wife run this business: bringing a Mexican & Czech background into every drink & food option. You may have seen this spot on a recent timeline near you, but if not, let me introduce you to my newest fave spot: Kolaches & Coffee I was blown away with the selection of Kolaches, coffees, & pastries. There are savory options AND sweet options! Here are some of my favorite choices: * Mexicano Kolache: spicy twist... Jalapeños, cream, cheese, and bacon * chocolate twist: flaky pastry with a beautiful chocolate drizzle * Ham Kolache: stuffed with egg, cheese, and ham * blueberry & crème brûlée pastry * beef & potato empanadas This spot is AMAZING if you are looking to bring unique pastries to a party of celebration. Enjoyed coming to check this place out the other day. The restaurant is not Columbian owned as someone erroneously mentioned. I got a chance to speak with the owner (in Spanish) and enjoyed learning a bit about him. We had a lot in common since he's from Mexico, and my Mother is from Mexico, with European ancestry, just like him. He also had friends visiting that day from Puebla, MX where my Mom is from and currently lives now. My mom's family is Spanish/Mexican and his is a mix of Spanish and Czechoslovakian background. The empanada and baked goods are made using his Czech grandmother's recipes, which I found fascinating. Empanadas are Spanish, but alas, internationally, we all get around and learn to make some great takes on good food ideas. What I enjoyed about the bakery area was how it reminds me of "las panaderias" in Mexico, because there you grab a tray and use tongs to pick out your bread. The only thing I wish he had had were "orejas de elefante" or palmers, as what we call them. I bought a tray of goodies, and froze some empanadas (which I will warn you they are spicy) and froze some muffins that did well just heating them up slightly in the oven. The only thing we can't rave about is the coffee. My husband and I are particular about brewed coffee, and what they served was Columbian coffee, but it just had a bitterness to it that we didn't care for. It was also a bit weak. We may try the Americano style next time.

I ordered an iced latte and got a kolache. This is my second time coming in and had just as good as a time. The ambiance is friendly, the drinks and food are good, and they are efficient.

This new pastry and coffee shop served up a delicious kolache at a reasonable price, with first rate service and an upscale dining area during my dine-in visit, but there was room for improvement. My hazelnut and cheese kolache ($3.00) was nicely sized and tasted great, with plenty of delicious cream cheese, tasty hazelnut and fresh, scrumptious pastry. It was one of the best pastries I've had in quite some time. I liked the spacious, upscale dining area but background music would have been a nice addition. I was also disappointed that a menu was not available. Their social media presence could also use improvement. They offer kolaches, empanadas, muffins and breakfast pastries made in-house, with crepes coming soon. They also offer Colombian coffee. Very nice. I expect the minor shortcomings will soon be addressed.

The Texan and the open blueberry roll.

I would give this place 5 stars if the kolaches had been just a little hotter. The insides were luke warm and I just wanted them to be jot. Otherwise, everything was delicious!!! I got the jalapeno, cream cheese and bacon (H) and it was to die for. The Texan was great as well, but the open blueberry roll was maybe one of the best breakfast pastries I've had, no joke. The frosting was insane, so sweet and SO good. The coffee was fine, I actually ordered an iced latte and got a hot latte, but I drank a little of it and it was good. I can't wait to try some of the other kolaches.

Since I haven't been able to make it to the market lately, I decided to check it out. Overall, the space is very clean and well-kept, and the atmosphere is nice. I especially enjoyed the experience of picking out my own tea, weighing it, and labeling it myself--it felt much more personal and relaxed compared to the usual rush and chaos at the market. That was definitely a highlight for me. I also tried their mango peach topper smoothie and added chamoy and Tajín--honestly, it was so good. I definitely should have gotten a larger size because the regular just wasn't enough. That drink alone is worth coming back for. The only downside was the customer service. The staff member I interacted with wasn't very knowledgeable and wasn't able to answer my questions. At the market, I'm used to staff being helpful and able to guide me through different teas and their benefits, but here, most of my questions were met with "I don't know" or "I don't work with the teas." She did point me to a section on the wall with some information about the teas and their benefits, which was helpful to a point. However, there was one term that appeared on several teas that wasn't explained on the wall, and she wasn't able to clarify it. I ended up looking it up myself, which wasn't a big deal for me--but I can see how that could be frustrating for someone new to loose-leaf tea who's relying on staff for guidance. Overall, a nice location with a more relaxed and personal shopping experience, but improved staff knowledge would make a big difference.

I stopped in here after attending a Yelp event down the street…read more As the former owner of a tea bar, I'm serious about my tea. I liked Dragonfly and hoped to like it more. I grabbed an iced, unsweetened, black tea with some passion fruit popping boba. It was very good. The tea was strong but not bitter. A good brew. I was very happy about the self serve teas. They have a nice selection I was very excited by the fact that they carry Pu-erh which is not found in a lot of places. It's a very robust black tea. And they had regular and two flavors. I wound up picking out 4 to try but then my boyfriend pointed out the sign painted on the wall that if you buy 5 ounces, you get 1 oz free. I thought well, I'll just grab 1 more and get a free oz since there were a couple more I wanted to try. When I went to pay at the counter, I was told that was an old sign painted on the wall and there is no such deal anymore. It's literally a huge sign right where you measure out your bulk tea. It should be removed because I wound up buying 2 extra teas I would have waited on if I hadn't thought there was a deal. I probably should have argued more about it but the store was about 15 minutes from closing and it was obvious the young woman running it was ready for us to leave. The shop is cute but the false advertising really brought down my review. I hope they will get that changed so others don't have the same disappointing experience.

We were in yesterday (Sat around 8:15 AM). The girl working the order register was a snot from the get go. I find it hard to believe that other customers didnt have complaints about her either. We attempted to order food which she rang up nit than said we don't have biscuits and gravy so you can't have that or the savory crepe with gravy. Ok but you rang it up, didn't ask anyone so how's then did you know you didnt have two of the six things you have on the menu? We then ordered house coffee which she then began writing our name on plastic drink cups. When we told her, those are regular coffees right? She said no your ordered iced. My girlfriend said NO, I ordered coffee and I said, "I'll have a coffee too". I never said iced ether and she threw a fit. We said you know what, make it 2 Togo coffees. She gave my girlfriend that leaked the entire time and the bottom of the cup was saturated like it was going to fall apart anytime. She has no business being in a customer service role. Not sure what her issue was. Was it we weren't regulars? Because if so, as a small business-good luck growing your business catering only to your 20-30 regulars. I will say, it was a solid cup of coffee though.
