I love this place!!! I first went here for their Wing Wednesday special, but now I am here all the time because I love the atmosphere, other food options, and the wait staff are really nice. The best time to visit is during the summer when you can sit on the deck and over look lake Menom. The prices are $7-13 and you get plenty to fill you. I love their beer batter fries and buffalo chicken wrap! Their drinks are strong. It's also a good place to start your bar crawls at or hang around for when they bring a band in. Waterfront is a great place to go for food, especially when it's warm enough to sit out on the deck. They have great burgers and sandwhiches, my favorite is the Black Bean Burger. The Wednesday Wing special is great as well. I recommend going for lunch on Wednesdays as it can get crazy busy in the evening. The wings aren't tossed in a lot of sauce, so if you prefer saucy wings I'd recommend the Extreme wings. They are the closest to normal hot wings. As a bar, Waterfront is a fun place to Ed the night. They make great White Russians. It can get a little crowded when they have live music- especially Charlie Parr, so plan to arrive earlier in the night for a show. read more

Restaurant s your typical hole in the wall bar and grill. Food was fine. Nothing special. Deck was small and did not accommodate all customers even later in the afternoon. Waitresses were fairly scantily clad. Boyfriend appreciated that. read more

The best day bar in town, hands down. I have lived in Menomonie for the past 5 years, and will miss this place the most when I leave. Fast service, kind owners, fun atmosphere. It is the perfect combo between relaxed/quiet, but they aren't afraid to let some energy run through it. Half off EVERYTHING on Sundays and a nice shirt for $15? There are a couple things that I really appreciate from a small town "Bar & Grill" - salads that feature more than iceberg lettuce and a good glass of wine. The Waterfront pleasantly surprised me in both areas. The menu boasts Sutter Home mini bottles of wine, but our server kindly asked if I was familiar with Mark West. When I replied "Yes!" - with I am sure an obvious sparkle in my eye, she informed me they offer it as their "step-up" wine. Thank God. I ordered a mandarin orange chicken salad and it came with a Delicious Raspberry Vinaigrette on a bed of Spring Greens. Score!! read more

Nice view of the lake. I went on a Friday for the baked fish special. Options were cod and stuffed swordfish. The cod was prepared well, but swordfish was a little dry. Waitress service seemed to be new because she didn't know the menu at all (e.g., when I asked what type of fish was on the special and what the stuffing was she had to keep going back inside to ask someone). read more

Food, view and service were all good! We had to wait a bit for our server while two others worked at tables around us (why I'm a fan of sections!), but when she finally got to us - knowledgeable and friendly. Split a giant veggie burger on ciabatta, the Bloody was excellent and cheap ($6 special with beef stick, cheese, pickle and olives), side salad better than most. If I owned the place I'd do a little work on the deck so the view was better - the railing cuts it up a bit, but a great place to be on a beautiful day. read more

As people of color my partner and I felt legitimately scared to be in this establishment. While we had no problem with the waitress and the food was decent bar food, we were stared at by just about every customer in this restaurant and three men took our photo while we sat there and ate. This place is awful. We came here with a small group and it took 1 hour and 45 mins to get our food. They burnt my friends chicken, gave us 4 wrong orders, and had terrible customer service. The food and service keep me coming back when I'm in town. The place looks very similar to the college bars I used to go to, but with darn good food. One of the best Fish Fry's I have ever had. I go here for the fish fry. When I have guest visiting from out of town, this is the place I we go to eat fish. It is a typical college bar/restaurant. Very noisy when the restaurant/bar is packed. The décor is rustic; however it over looks lake Menomin. I have been here for lunch on occasion -- food was good. Very loud crowded bar that overlooks the lake. Not enough tables on the deck so had to settle for sitting inside and looking at the lake thru a throng of people. I had the black bean burger and wasn't that great. Hubby had the Piggy and loved it. I will say the beer battered fries were the best part of the meal. My favorite bar and grill in Menomonie, a local and college hang out alike, with occasional live music, and great views. Wednesday night wings and excellent, as well as Friday Night Fish, and their Cheese curds. Diverse bar food menu with great pricing. I don't even like bloodies, but the ones from here I'll slug down. It can be a long wait and a little loud but its always worth it! A must stop in Menomonie. read more

This place has really upped its game recently....fantastic food in a great and fun environment. Bartenders are on the ball and know how to treat customers well. Had lunch on the deck with a view of Lake Menomin. The view and location are pleasant. Be prepared to wait for a long time for your food whether or not the place is busy. Food took over an hour to arrive and we ordered nothing complex (order placed at 11:30 am and arrived after 12:30). One order was further delayed because a new batch of fries was being made. Food was mediocre - same bar food as any other of the thousands of bars in western wisconsin. Bloody mary tasted old. Not a great use of our time. read more

Terrible customer service. A friend and I went to this establishment and sat outside. The sun went down and it got rather chilly so we asked if we could go inside. The waitress said we could so we moved. Then a man, who I later found out was the owner, came up and yelled non repeatable words at us and told us that we cant move like that and we need to leave. I started to explain the waitress said it was ok and he began to mock me. I proceeded to pay, without getting my food, and left. I am a waitress so I understand the industry and try to be understanding and respectful when dining out, but this was absolutely terrible customer service by the owner and I can assure you that The Waterfront has lost both my service along with my friends and family. read more
