Summerland Room #5…read more Pro: -ample parking -Room size is decent compared to other hotels. It as fireplace and an AC system window unit. (It is pretty loud though. Had to turn it on in short bursts because of how loud it was.) -Mini fridge gets drinks nice and cold (very rare these days) Pillows are VERY soft but hold their shape Cons: -Right next to the freeway. I wish I had listened to other reviews and stayed somewhere else. It was loud the entire time but the hotel did provide complimentary ear plugs. And there is a train that comes by that is even louder. -Paid for an Oceanfront View but in the pictures you'll see that from the patio, those hedges are too high for an unobstructed view of the ocean so try to get a balcony room for a better view. -No WIFI -Rooms could use a refresh. They are a bit dated. *I would probably give this hotel a rating closer to 3.5 but the husband and I were the only guests this day so it was nice of the staff to still put out the complimentary wine and snacks for us. Also the next morning the chef pretty much just made breakfast for us and it was tasty.

They also have nice extras like complementary breakfast, afternoon happy hour (wine and cheese and crackers) and later dessert, as long as you book directly on their website. Walking distance to all the cute boutiques Cafés and shops in Summerland. It is very close to the freeway, and you hear the freeway noise throughout, but they have a white sound machine playing in the room, which was actually very thoughtful. They have a nice Jacuzzi too. Totally recommend and will return!

Location : Very convenient and walkable to a lot of restaurants.Which we love. Parking : If you stay on the queen suite side there are limited spaces but they do have permit for you to park on Bath St. as well but if you stay the other side of the property which is King suites. Those rooms came with 1 parking space per room. Rooms : First time we got room No.7 which was a queen suite.Man oh man that bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel rooms. The room came with full stove and kitchen utensils,Coffee maker and ground coffee. If you decide to cook yourself some food they pretty much have everything you need. The second time we stayed on the king suite side at room 118A. The front door facing the street,So it slightly noisy than the other side of the property. The room was spacious,Basically it's like a studio apartment. They have everything you need. Vibe : It's very clean property. One of the cleanest property I have ever stayed.Cozy warm,Charming.Overall such a lovely place. Staffs : Every single one of them were nice and friendly.Check in and check out process went very smooth. They offer you a free snacks in the office as well. We're already booked our next trip with them to celebrate our anniversary and 4th of July in Santa Barbara. If you looking for a place to stay in Santa Barbara.Come here to Harbor house inn.You won't be disappoint.

We were greeted by the most lovely young man who welcomed us like we were family. It wasn't quite check out time, so they stored our bags so we could grab lunch and explore State Street before checking in. When we returned, a different person welcomed us with the same energy and enthusiasm as the last. Our deluxe queen studio was weekend perfection. Clean, beautifully decorated, and included a fully equipped kitchen and dinette set. The bathroom was small, but with so much space in the rest of the room, we easily made it work. A pleasant surprise was the availability of FREE beach cruisers, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and boogie boards that were available throughout the day. It made it so easy to take a morning ride along the beach without the hassle of rushing back to beat the rental clock. The whole Harbor House Inn experience just felt right. I'm looking forward to staying there again.

Our stay at Circle Bar B Guest Ranch was truly breathtaking…read more The views alone are unforgettable, but Cabin 12 was absolutely perfect--beautiful, spotless, and so peaceful. And the mattress... wow. It took everything in me to get out of that bed! It felt like it just embraced you, and waking up to those top window views made it even harder to leave. The food was incredible--both breakfast and dinner were beyond amazing. Enrique, Rafael, and the entire team (I wish I could remember every name!) made us feel so special. The level of care, attention to detail, and overall service was easily 1000 out of 100. Kat, thank you for everything--you truly made our stay unforgettable. The stables were just as impressive. Jack and all the handlers were not only knowledgeable about the ranch's history, but you can clearly see the love and care they have for the horses--it meant so much to witness that. I'm a little timid around horses, but Russell made the experience so comfortable and special for me. He paired me with Tator Tot, and I can't even describe the connection--he could sense when I was nervous and responded so gently. It was such a beautiful, unforgettable moment. My husband rode Big Elvis, and let's just say... the name fits perfectly--what a character! This ranch is truly one of a kind. An unforgettable experience from beginning to end. We will absolutely be back--this is now our home away from home.

We recently stayed at Circle Bar B Ranch for the weekend, hoping for an experience comparable to…read moreour prior visit at Alisal Ranch, which was exceptional. Unfortunately, Circle Bar B fell far short of expectations in nearly every category. We booked Cabin 18, a two-story unit with ample space. However, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The floors were visibly dirty, with cobwebs in nearly every corner and overhang. The shower fixtures were covered in grime, and it was evident that the cabin had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. While we appreciate rustic environments, there is no excuse for lack of basic hygiene and maintenance. A major concern was the food situation. While breakfast and dinner are included, there is no menu provided in advance, and front desk staff must "get back to you" with meal details. There are virtually no accommodations for guests who do not eat meat, and meal planning seems completely random. If the property chooses not to serve lunch, that is understandable but to then offer only minimal snack options is completely inadequate. Guests are isolated on a remote ranch and should not have to leave the property just to find a proper meal. Even simple items like sandwiches, hot dogs, or salads would be an improvement. The lack of child-friendly activities was also disappointing. Aside from horseback riding, there is very little for families to do on-site. The pool and game room are the only options offered. There were no organized outdoor activities for kids no open play areas, no nature programming, no campfires, no stargazing, nothing beyond a dilapidated horseshoe pit that looked untouched since the 1940s. Several buildings around the property appeared neglected and unstable, further contributing to a feeling of disrepair. Staff were polite and well-meaning, but clearly overextended. When the same person checking you in at the front desk is also mixing drinks at the bar, it's clear the ranch is understaffed and operating well below an acceptable service standard. In short, we spent more time leaving the ranch than enjoying it. Circle Bar B might have potential, but in its current state it feels neglected, understaffed, and not designed with families in mind. We'll be returning to Alisal Ranch for future trips a property that clearly understands how to deliver a polished, welcoming, and activity-rich experience for both children and adults.

The hot, homemade breakfast prepared by Adriana each morning far exceeded our expectations--so much more than the standard continental breakfast. Every dish was made with care and felt truly special. Both Adriana and Jim were exceptional hosts--warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. They made us feel less like guests in their own home and more like part of their extended family. Their charm and genuine hospitality set this place apart. While a bit of light maintenance could be done in some areas, it's easily overshadowed by the outstanding service and the overall experience. We're so glad this was our first BnB stay--it set the bar high!

Jim was there to meet us and show us our room. We got The Cowboy Room on the second floor (no live cowboys included! ) which we selected so that we could have separate beds. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. There were no other guests, so we had the whole floor to ourselves. It was super quiet and peaceful. I imagine it would be different if there was a house full guests. Jim gave us suggestions on things we could do and places to visit. He also gave us the code for the door, the wifi password, and warnings about bears. We opted to walk around the area and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at The Perch restaurant just a few minutes walk down the road. Coffee was available at 8 the next morning, Adriana made breakfast ready by 830am. We had eggs in hash brown cups, sausages, maple scones, toast with a variety of spreads, and fresh orange juice. Everything was delicious. Sorry I didn't take pictures, I was too busy eating! I was able to eat everything on the table. I had mentioned our list of food allergies upon reserving online and also emailed the list closer to the date. The communication was excellent. I would love to stay at Old Bear B n B again. Thank you, Jim and Adriana, for making us feel so comfortable and welcome.
