LOVED this Marriot stay. Reminded me of Palm Springs when I was there. The complimentary hot breakfast isn't buffet style. You sit down and order with the vouchers you get for booking. Loved how they did that. The pool and hot tub are open up until 10 PM, so plan accordingly. There is much to see in Pigeon Forge. I hope to return in the future for the snow season at Ober Mountain some day.

This hotel is cute for instagram, it felt like a safe place to stay and it was in an wonderful location on the main road on Pigeon Forage and only 10-15min from Dollywood. I wouldn't say no to staying there again. However, it is trying to be a boutique hotel but it is a fun themed motel that is taking itself to seriously with prices especially for what you get for the price. We checked in and arrived to our room not having towels, we got some when asking for them. The rooms bathroom door is cute but not really practical. There was no hand soap provided for the bathroom. The lobby seemed to have actually been renovated from the old motel they overlayed but the rooms were definitely just updated with paint and cute new retro furniture. Weirdly, our room and our friends in the room Nextdoor had different toilets and they had towel hooks but we didn't in the bathroom, so it felt very thrown together. Also, the housekeeping only took out the trash and maybe replaced the towels. Didn't replace used cups, didn't make the beds, if that is going to be the level of care and cleaning that should be announced at check-in or before. Also, again, not for the price point in which they are trying to sell themselves. It was very weird. Lastly the Breakfest as good for the free with stay we got, but the food often came a little cold, the serving staff was all kind but all seemed a bit untrained, it definitely felt like some kind of better training program should be set into place to help them and the guests, since it was all of them, not just one or two. Also, they seemed to have a spoon shortage while we were there, weird. So I guess overall, it was just pricey for what it is, or they need to work a little harder at what they want it to be. Which, mostly felt odd as a Marriott property. I feel like I'd feel only a little differently if it was locally owned without a big chain attached to it.

First let's start off with the girl at the front desk the young girl with the oversized nose ring that is just looking for attention clearly with that attitude that she gave me as in why are you talking to me, umm your at a front desk for a hotel why wouldn't I interact with you, great customer service skills right there. I'm not one to judge anyone for what they look like as I come from the punk scene I was clearly stating what this person looks like. Second I get into my room and I hear music coming through the vents I'm like wtf? Then I realize it's coming from the go kart track next door as it was an announcement to drive safe. Third they take a $250 deposit that's a bit excessive for a place like this as I've had some very luxurious rooms over the years and I have never had that much of a hold on my card! Basically this was just a simple generic room at a place that thinks it's better than it is with that said I wouldn't stay here again just for the inconveniences I found from start to finish! Overall it was a bed for the night nothing more nothing less I'm sure you could find better ones in the area for a better price!

This was our third stay and we really enjoyed the first two stays. We liked the fact the pool area was for 21+ and enjoyed being served in the hot tub or poolside. Sadly, the Wayback changed course and is now kid friendly at all times. While I adore small kids, my vacation is the one time I enjoy a pool and hot tub sans kids. Sadly, no wait service and the airstream bar wasn't even open on Monday evening. This stay wasn't nearly as enjoyable as previous stays. It didn't help they were out of body wash, body lotion, shower caps and laundry bags.

Dirty hair net under the bed!

Avoid this hotel! The pictures they have are deceptive. We checked in and realized right away this wasn't for us. We chose it because it is supposedly a Marriott and that is where we choose to stay. First, We are quiet hotel people. All of the rooms surround the pool and it was very loud. The elevator was cramped and not clean at all. When we got to the room we found that it was dirty. We found a used hairnet on the floor and the sheets had stains on them. The second room we had was also dirty. Then, we discovered that the toilet doesn't flush. We were supposed to stay two more nights but we have decided to move to another hotel for the next two nights, even though it means losing money on this one and having to pay more for another hotel. Marriott should be ashamed to put their name on the facility.

Upon first arriving, I was hesitant by the exterior. It's a motel, with outdoor entrances. But the interior is totally renovated and has a really neat throwback palm springs theme going on. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it! Employees at the front desk were so nice and personable. The provided robes was a nice touch you don't get at most hotels. And the pool and cabanas looked nice too, though we didn't check them out. Since its an older building the walls are kind of thin, but for the most part the outdoor noise didnt bother us. I would stay here again, the location is unbeatable.

So cute! Total 60s retro style with a true Palm Springs motel feel. The lobby to the rooms to the pool are perfect! I also love a room with good mirrors. The hot tub is killer and is adults only after 6pm, which is something I really appreciate. However, they only give you 2 coffee pods in your room, and we went down to get some from the lobby, but they said they don't start serving it until 7. My biggest complaint is the stuffiness of the room. Our air conditioner didn't get very cold and it felt like we could hardly breathe both nights we stayed (it's October, I can't imagine if it was July). This made for 2 night of rough sleep.

The resort is in the mountains, a few minutes from Dollywood. It's clean and rustic but elegant - think Dolly Parton's style and touch. It's family oriented so it's cozy, not really flashy. I bet during the holidays (now) placed is decked out. Kudos to the staff. From checking in, to dining all the way the family activities (smores), everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely warm making people feel welcome. Service wasn't feigned or scripted - it was real and even when it was busy, the staff took care of business. Room was comfortable and clean. Not extravagant - think Southern charm. Bathroom wasn't cramped, water pressure good and temperature nice and hot. Quiet (we had a corner room) and we couldn't hear anything. Not even when neighbors opening or closing their door. Even had a workspace if you were working while you were supposed to be on vacation. Amenities included shuttle to and from the park. Pool and Spa (didn't partake). Went to the bar/restaurant - see other review and an on site convenience store. Free parking. I'm sure there are more but that's just all that comes to mind because we were for the park. That's also in another review. Anyway - to sum it up, it's not quite a luxury resort - but a place that offers heartfelt comfort wrapped in Southern Hospitality. If you know Dolly's story, it kinda captures her spirit - warm, sincere and touches of joy. It's a definite "yes" if I needed to pick a place to stay when back in that area, even if I weren't going to the park.

The bathroom had a vent with tons of rust, the paint was chipped all over the walls. Beat up and scuffed furniture. The patios were sad and depressing. The patio door was broken and did not lock. The view is "sad creek with creepy parking lot." The hotel also gives a complimentary margarita coupon to guests. We do not drink alcohol. When I went to the bar I asked the manager if we could trade it in for a non-alcoholic margarita or NA beer and they said no, only alcoholic margaritas. How ridiculous! Not even a freaking mocktail margarita! After staying at the Gatlinburg resort property this was a huge let down. We have since learned they are two different franchise owners. Suffice to say, we were going to stay two nights. We paid for two and after one night we left and booked a room at the Gatlinburg location instead. That's how bad it was.

Got there around 10:00 and the room was ready. Great! Got to room and it was pretty small and filthy (table had crumbs/sticky, not vacuumed etc). Went back to the front desk and she offered to switch to same room for no charge or upgrade to a slightly bigger room for $20/night. We opted for that option since as a family of four, more space is worth the cost for us. We got to that room and again, not the cleanest and there was pubic hairs on the bathroom floor which basically sealed the deal mentally nothing good would happen. Because this was a timeshare offer we called them and finally after we left and had lunch they just put us in another room. They did refund the $60 and gave us three breakfast vouchers for each day but even this room was not clean to what "Hilton" standards should be even though the manager walked through the room personally. In the end, this made it very easy to say no to the timeshare presentation as their excuse was Hilton bought the property just a year ago so they aren't all up to standard yet. The lobby was beautiful, the pool area looked nice but my kids said the water was freezing. I would never pay for the $17 dollar breakfast as it's basically the same free stuff you get at every other hot continental breakfast. Basically, you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

Check-in was seamless, and the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. They have a nice 24/7 drink bar with instant coffee and tea, plus another bar with juice and tea options during breakfast and again in the evenings (7-10). Small touches like that were a nice surprise. As for the room, it was a good size and overall comfortable. The beds were great, though I did notice housekeeping service declined a bit as the week went on. Towels varied in softness, and the complimentary toiletries were below average -- I'd recommend bringing your own. For a listed 3-star hotel, I'd rate it closer to 2.5 stars. The property is clean and cozy, but for the price point, it could use a few tune-ups. That said, I'd stay here again, especially if you're traveling with family or kids. The pool and hot tub area are nice, and the continental breakfast was fairly decent. Tip: If you're staying on the first floor near rooms 110-120, you might want to request a different area unless you're an early riser -- hallway noise can be noticeable from people coming and going in the morning.

So where can you stay in Pigeon Forge that isn't going to hurt the bank account while giving you a relaxing stay? Well look no further...Twin Mountain Inn & Suites is excellent AND affordable! I'm a Hotels member and when I saw Twin Mountain Inn and Suites' 5 star reviews, I was curious, especially because at the time, the rates were about $97/night AND pets are only $20/night. Not only that, the room had a river view with a balcony, fireplace, and free parking. Now, I've kept this hotel on the backburner on my account. Last time we visited Pigeon Forge, we stayed at Drury and spent so much more on a "Mountain View" that overlooked the parking structure. So, this time, I decided to go with my instinct and book with Twin Mountain. Boy, am I glad we did!! We stayed on the third floor. Don't let the cover of a book fool you. The parking is easy but can get full pretty quickly, true. However, the room was probably on of the cleanest hotel rooms we've ever stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The shower was hot and had good water pressure (albeit, no conditioner or body wash-just a small packaged bar of soap. There were two small bottles of shampoo). There's a microwave and mini fridge in the room. I also liked that there were two sinks, one in the bathroom and one just outside of it (vanity). This was convenient for two people. The AC/heater was powerful, too. The fireplace is timed and creates a cozy atmosphere. The balcony overlooking the river was peaceful and there were two plastic chairs and a little table out there to sit and enjoy the view of ducks and geese. Twin Mountain Inn and Suites is close to the strip but away from the flashing lights and noise. It's a great location! Breakfast is included and had biscuits and gravy, eggs, yogurt, sausage, fruit, cereal, and one waffle maker. There's fresh coffee and a juice machine, too. It was a tight squeeze as it was very busy for 7:30am so I decided to get one biscuit and gravy, two sausages, and a yogurt to take back to the room, which were all very good. There's a drink vending machine outside of the lobby and one near the parking lot. The elevator was convenient and they also had luggage trolleys, too. This was an outstanding stay for one night and I wish it had been longer. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend staying with Twin Mountain Inn & Suites for your next stay in Pigeon Forge.
