Shoddy customer service and absolutely no consideration for customers' time! I went early Wednesday morning just to get my tire pressure checked and waited over an hour with several cars ahead of me. During that entire time, not one of the 7-8 technicians outside bothered to acknowledge the waiting customers or provide any update. I eventually went inside, waited in line again, and was told someone would assist us in another 15-20 minutes. Back outside, I continued waiting. Cars ahead of me eventually gave up and left. Then, after more than an hour, I finally learned that the air machine was broken--something no one bothered to tell the customers who had been patiently waiting in line! It's not just that the machine was broken--that happens. The unacceptable part was the complete lack of communication and basic consideration for customers' time. A simple announcement that the machine was out of service would have saved everyone an unnecessary wait. Very disappointing experience. Customer service was essentially non-existent. I had a very disappointing experience at America's Tire today. I stopped in simply to have air put in my tires. There was a gentleman ahead of me who had already been waiting for about 10 minutes, so I got out of my vehicle and asked if he had spoken with anyone. He said he had been told to wait. There were several technicians working in the garage, and I noticed one employee in the back on his phone. I spoke loudly enough for him to hear and asked, "Hey, could we get some air in our tires?" He walked over and asked, "What's the problem?" I explained again that we needed air, and his response was, "We're busy." I was honestly floored. I replied, "You are on your phone," and he simply looked at me and walked back to where he had been standing. I have spent over $3,000 at America's Tire, and I expect a reasonable level of customer service and respect when I come in for something as simple as putting air in my tires. Being told "we're busy" by someone who was standing there on his phone was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I went into the office and expressed my frustration to the representative there. He immediately said he would take care of it, and he did. He came outside right away, helped the gentleman who had been waiting ahead of me, and then helped me. I want to specifically recognize Andrew, who was polite, respectful, professional, and provided the kind of customer service I would expect from a company I have spent thousands of dollars with. He also apologized for the other employee's behavior. Andrew turned a very frustrating experience around, and I appreciate him. Unfortunately, the first interaction left a very negative impression. I hope management addresses this because customers should never feel like they are inconveniencing an employee simply by asking for assistance. read more

For my most recent experience, it was time to change due to tire age & ensure had new tires for a long drive during the Christmas holiday storms. It was super easy to search, compare shop & check tire inventory that met my budget, driving specifications using their online portal. Equally easy to search & schedule an appointment that fit me among the various local sites. The automated tracking & reminder ensure I was not late as well as managed my expectation while waited for service. Check-in was easy, quick & personable. The joyful raucous and music playing in the service garage makes me believe the staff are enjoying their work. Ample waiting room space to kick back while waiting for service and completed service quicker than I expected that allowed me time to squeeze in a holiday manicure that I didn't think had time for. Why even have a dedicated line to fill air if you are not bothered to support. Eventually got someone to take a look and their machine was broken. Just terrible place. Went in for an air check since most tire purchases have been from here since years. I had to wait 30 mins and give up, asked numerous technicians and the response is we are busy. There were few others who showed up behind me and decided not to wait. I can see some techs busy but there were definitely others who were having a laugh, ignoring customers. This is really terrible customer service, they should shut down the complimentary air check if they do not value it. Had the unfortunate experience of getting a flat on NYE and was turned away by Wheel Works because they were slammed. I appreciated their honesty though. called up America's Tire and they were very welcoming and inclined to accommodate me. The lobby was packed. And as I waited at the service desk I overheard a woman voicing her concern about being ripped off and pressured into buying new tires a few months back. Red flag right off the gate. Deceitful sales tactic. Filipino gentleman finally helps me. We take a look at my tire, I show him exactly what I ran over. He whips out a device that uses laser light to measure the object. Says it's too wide to be patched and strongly recommended that I purchase a new tire. And warns me that it is unsafe to drive further. I take out my phone to call my hubby and he asks: Did the guy take your wheel off to thoroughly inspect it? I replied: No. He then proceeds to tell me to leave immediately, suspecting the business is dishonest and has no integrity. I follow the agent back into the lobby and asks him if he can find me the same brand tire. He couldn't but he suggested something comparable. I took a pic of his monitor screen with the name and price quote and politely told him: Thank you for your help, but I don't want to commit if I'm unsure I can afford it. I will get back to you. Then I left. took it to my hubby's auto shop across town where he removed the L shaped plastic wedged onto the center of the treads, the puncture itself was no bigger than the diameter of a kabob skewer. He patched it up. Easy fix. No new tire needed. America's tire has great customer service, but if you are naïve and don't have a strong backbone, you will likely get pressured into buying wheels you don't need. A business needs to make money after all. They just won't be making money off of me. read more

I asked if I could speak with someone about tire options (basically looking for a professional recommendation and to schedule an appointment, not to perform a service), but the staff were not very friendly and declined to help, saying they were too busy. I understand that employees may be trying to wrap up at the end of the day, but I arrived during their posted business hours. As a customer, I have no way of knowing how busy the store is before I arrive. If the store is unable to assist customers 25 minutes before closing, the hours should reflect that. My low tire pressure indicator came on while out and about so decided to stop by to have it checked. I waited about 25 minutes before someone came over to check the tire pressure. The waiting part isn't a big deal, it's the fact that there were a bunch of workers standing around socializing in the garage rather than working. A worker finally came up however didn't say a word just started checking the pressure. At the end, he told me the tires were fine but that was the extent of his update. Prior to his update, I did hear him and a coworker laugh and mock the other person that had been waiting to have their tire pressure checked. I have been to other locations where they send me a tire report to let me know how the health of my tires are doing and actually have good customer service skills. I have been a long time customer and have purchased tires from various locations. I can say that this location has been the worst one. To the manager of this location, please train your employees better and remind them about professionalism. read more

I've been dropped off to America's Tire from a tow I called from my insurance. I was met by Anthony, the assistant manager when I walked into the store. Told him I have a Tesla but I explained to him that I don't have stock wheels so I told him my size ; 265/35/19's and that I needed to also replace all my TPMS. I was already planning to replace all my tires and the TPMS once the rain stopped but, I ran over a pothole from 280N right before the Saratoga exit. I asked if they honor military discount onsite because I normally shop for my tires online, apply my military discount and then show up to the shop for my appointment. I even added their tire certificate warranty and came up close to a little over cost of $1800 with everything I mentioned above. He told me there wasn't any tires for the size I mentioned within the store but he offered to expedite for a local transfer from Union City for all 4x tires of Yokohama Advan Sport A/S+ and disclosed that it could arrive as late as 4:00pm, mind you that rolled in around 8:30am. I told him I didn't mind, I can work from their lobby using their wifi. I stayed pretty occupied and busy throughout the day, the tires came and they called me to the mechanic bay where they pointed to the wheel that had the tire popped and it was bent and cracked. Anthony warned me that it isn't safe to drive this and asked if I want to continue, I said yes and that I'll bring it to a wheel repair that I know about for drop off. He respected my response, despite the safety measure, I just took extra precaution to drive my car home slowly and dodged pot holes along the way. Thanks Anthony on calling out the wheel damage and the safety issues I would be in if I drove it like that and thanks for all the communication you've walked me through during my time at your shop. read more

I had an appointment and they kept my car for about an hour, yet the actual service took only about 30 minutes. I was pressured into buying new tires because of an air bubble and told it was a serious safety issue. The tires I wanted weren't even in stock, so I was forced to spend a lot more on a set I didn't want. Afterward I discovered a stripped lug nut and one completely missing--another America's Tire now has to fix their mistake. My uncle is a mechanic and I had to have him look at something else on the car. But while he was working he also found every tire out of balance and said it needs an alignment. He could tell it was a rushed job. If safety was truly their concern, they wouldn't have rushed the job and left my car in worse shape than before. This was careless, expensive, and unacceptable for something as critical as tires. I had to take more time and time off work to go to another location to fix their rushed work. read more

I really appreciate the time they took--especially since I couldn't find the nail in the tire myself. They had me park, took care of the whole ordeal, and walked me through my options for new tires, explaining the details and differences clearly. After a long day at work, seeing my tire light on was stressful (all my other tires were at 43 and one was down to 25), but they made the process simple and stress-free. I came in today to have a new set of tires installed on my 2023 Toyota 4Runner after spending over $1,600. What should have been a routine tire installation turned into an all day ordeal. During the installation, one of the wheel studs/lug bolts was broken, leaving my vehicle unsafe to drive. I ended up spending hours at the store waiting for a tow truck so the vehicle could be taken to a shop for inspection and repair. While I appreciate that they are taking responsibility for the repair, this was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. A simple tire installation should not result in damage to a customer's vehicle, especially on a newer vehicle. I lost an entire day dealing with this situation and it has definitely made me question returning in the future. I hope management reviews their installation procedures to prevent this from happening to other customers. read more

If you use this location, do yourself a favor and schedule two appointments for any service, once to get the work done and the other to fix their inevitable mistakes.. Doesn't matter what you are going in for, they will do it poorly.. For one, they do all of their work using 4 floor jacks and bare metal contact with your frame, no pinch weld adapters (unless its a tesla apparently) so your car paint will get scratched off. The music is insanely loud and the workers are more busy jamming to the beat than taking care of your car. There is no audible or visual coordination between workers when lowering your car, with 1 or 2 workers manning the 4 jacks like a foozball table. They almost flipped my car as one guy thought it was cute to pump his side stupidly higher and a rear jack lost contact with the vehicle. The floor jacks moved position at this time and as my car bobbed back down, it narrowly avoided landing on my GAS TANK, before resting on the inner side of the frame, not on the pinch weld site.. I didn't come to get my floorboard punched out. If that wasn't bad enough, a few hours after leaving the wheels started to vibrate badly.. lo and behold, the wheel weights were flying off on the freeway.. They had been too busy singing to properly apply peel and stick weights.. The management does have them fix it without argument, but it just shouldn't be happening. The garage is an accident waiting to happen, the safety alarms on the machines have to compete with unreasonably loud music, few of the workers were wearing eye safety, none had any sort of toe protection, all were wearing sneakers, don't recall seeing anyone with back supports.Tools being shared across stations. On both recent visits i saw these guys playing see-saw with the floor jacks and cars because each guy is doing his/her own thing and not working together. Some hand thread, some don't (they've cross threaded my lugs before), some do the star pattern, others do the circle.. some torque on a second step, some skip it..some make sure all the lugs are on before lowering, some do 3 of the 5.. In short, quality and safety is a toss up here. They lack discipline and if there is a floor lead overseeing things, they are asleep at the wheel. I always make it a point to recheck things..not everyone can, and we shouldn't have to. UPDATE: After this last visit, i'm down 3 lug nuts because the chuckle heads cross threaded them! read more

I was so impressed with the quality service at American Tires (Steven Creek location) that I had to write a review. I visited American Tires Wednesday to purchase new tires for my Tesla Model S. Despite the shop being extremely busy, the staff at the front desk did a great job acknowledging everyone in line, assuring us they'd be with us shortly. When it was my turn, I was assisted by Ivan, who was not only polite but also very knowledgeable. The tires I originally wanted weren't in stock, but Ivan quickly placed an order for me. To my surprise, the price ended up being lower than what I had seen online, and it included an $80 discount; Thank you Jesus! If you didn't know, EV tires are expensive lol! Even better, the tires were available the very next day, so we scheduled an appointment for installation. But here's what really impressed me; when I returned for my appointment, Ivan remembered me by name. In a busy shop where they see dozens of customers daily, that personal touch meant a lot. It wasn't just efficiency, it was genuine customer care. The entire process was efficient, and my car was finished in just 45 minutes. What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. I was looking for an efficient and kind place to go because I blew out my front left tire. Imagine a fist sized hole on the side. I really reallyyyy messed it up (-": I checked online to make an appointment and saw all of the America's Tires in my area were booked out until January. I called ahead and asked if it would be ok to walk in and they said it was slow around noon today so I went in hoping to get my tire fixed and the others checked. Patricio helped me with the whole process and even explained what getting a certificate meant because I would benefit from it (I am not the best driver unfortunately). I purchased two new tires and the insurance, which only costed $13 per tire. I walked out paying around $250. Super happy with the service and price and efficiency. Thank you!! read more

1-24-26 Thursday, 1-22-26, while driving home from work I hit a pothole. Didn't think there was any damage until I arrived home. The tire sensors lit up on my dash board. I had my car towed to America's tire and they determined the wheel was cracked and that is the reason it was losing air. Manager, Thomas came through loaning me a wheel so I could drive to drop off cracked wheel for repair and get to my new job. Thank you Thomas and team. You saved the day for me! Now America's tire keeps saying there is no evidence their tooling created the damage (of course you would say that about yourself) while at the same time offering me $300, then $600. Total repairs are just short of $1200. What a horrible place. This isn't a compromise. You caused the damage you should fix it. They were the only ones to touch the wheels, I have never changed them before, and again the damage is on the inside away from curbs, so this could only have been caused by tooling touching my wheels during the tire removal and replacement process. The damage is on all four wheels! Don't come here to change your tires or they will damage your wheels and then try to only pay for half of the repairs without accepting fault for damage they obviously caused. That or take pictures before dropping off the car with them. Crazy that they are trying to bargain with me, when they obviously caused the damage. read more

Always wonderful experiences with American Tires, Steven's Creek Location! I visited last week and Andrew assisted me, my car was giving me error messages. Andrew inspected all the tires even offered to have one remove to be thoroughly checked as it was a problem tire. He told me his hours that I could come to him with any questions, wonderful person, I so enjoy speaking with him. Today I went to follow up with purchasing Tires and Keenan Salesman, outstand like Andrew. He checked tires gave me all information and slowly assisted me with prices. He didn't pressure me to buy the more expensive tires, he wanted to get me the best deal for my budget. Keenen had lots of knowledge on the tires which help me choose the proper ones for my car. I can't say enough about both Andrew and Keenan, they both didn't know that I was let go from my work this past week and it really help to be treated with kindness after having a traumatic unexpected lay off with 3 day notice. I was traveling from Oregon and accidently hit a curb while driving at night. The wheel rim suffered a large dent and the broken seal deflated the tire. After replacing the tire with a spare, I headed to America's Tire the next morning. It was there I met Alexis who recommended a place to fix the wheel rim. I had an excellent experience there and returned to AT. Alexis had ordered a replacement . . Warranties have always been lifesavers at AT. The tire was installed and mounted quickly, and my unfortunate accident turned out great. Alevis oversaw every aspect of the repair, and all was handled professionally and cheerfully.
