Always enjoy my meal! Their gruyere grilled cheese on sourdough, tater tots with thyme parm, and fried brussels with balsamic.

Their food is phenomenal! I've never dined in, so I can't speak to their service, but I've ordered delivery many times. My faves are the fried brussel sprouts with balsamic and capers as well as their mac and cheese - so freakin' good!!! Their tater tots and grilled cheeses are also delish. Their food always arrives hot too, so get ittt.

We ordered the braised short rib sandwich and the Philly cheese steak- both were incredible! The service was great and the ambiance was nice.

Small establishment but friendly staff! The food was prepared well and there was enough for leftovers. Also ordered the watermelon sangria which was yum.

Incredibly attentive service and some of the best sandwiches we have ever had! All week we have been debating when we can get back! A smaller space but plenty of room for our large group and a handful of other parties. Will be back asap! Hearts!!!!

Came in on a random weekday for lunch. I'd heard about these mythical sandwiches and thought - how good can a sandwich be?! Turns out they are pretty amazing! Warm, perfectly toasted bread, short rib was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. Sat on the outdoor patio area which was relaxing and quite spacious. I admired that a lot of people came for beers at 1pm, must be a nice life! Unfortunately the kitchen was quite busy during our visit, and we ended up waiting over 35 minutes. For a freaking sandwich. A good one, yes, but that is pretty unacceptable on a weekday at lunch. Also - they have a card surcharge of 3.5% which was not advertised clearly until bill came. I know they're not the only culprit but this is false advertising and it is a practice that is quite unethical, frustrating that restaurants keep nickel and diming their customers!

Pulled Pork Tacos, Sweet Corn Nuggets

I tried this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! Their prices are pretty fair for the portions, and the corn nuggets were the best I've had in NYC! As someone originally from Tx, I did not think I would be impressed, but I was! I had the pulled pork tacos and they were wonderful. I hope to be back soon!

I was not the first to review The Wheelhouse, but I was the first customer for that day six years ago. I had the short rib grilled cheese and tots and chopped it up with one of the owners. He was good company and the food was all of that or alla dat! I wanted a grilled cheese sammie, but was too lazy to concoct one, plus I didn't have bread (trying to avoid it, but today's craving superseded that and because it's Friday!). Of course I ordered (UberEats) the short rib grilled cheese, but also the Red, White and Blue, because I love bleu cheese and almost any other cheese, I like variety and it's Friday. I had one half of each and was content and happy to say that The Wheelhouse is still on point! Both sandwiches were delicious, savory, great portions, and satisfying. my food was delivered and wasn't hot, but warm and still elicited endorphin party vibes (INSERT BIG SMILE (((CHEESE!!!!... absolutely intended)))). Y'all ROCK! (Refer to my first review for food details).

The Philly cheese steak was delish but the Mac and cheese was awesome. Our server was very attentive. Perfect sidewalk seating.

Great food. Appetizers are the best part. The Mac and cheese and tater tots are both delicious and filling.

So so chewy your jaw will have to get to work; i can see how some ppl wouldn't like it bc it's too chewy and dense but i loved it rating: 4/5 - if i take into consideration of the whole menu, this would probably be 3/5 but since i always just get the scallion pancake and pastries, and they have consistently been delectable, it's a solid 4! - i just love the texture and flavor a lot especially the xia - the ambiance is super hippie and chill; it's a perfect spot for breakfast and quick bites; they also got this bar section with a tv playing old school films giving retro vibes - their pastries were all delicious with some unique selection - service has consistently been amazing; workers there were all happy and chill vibes - definitely give it a try but start from the xia and pastries for sure IG: @nom.noms.only

Overall rating: 4.6…read more I stumbled by this place when I was in the area. I got the burrata & a cappuccino, because I wasn't expecting to come in. I liked the space and the service was so friendly. I went last summer so things could have changed. But it was a bit awkward that they had an empty stage and they haven't had any live music in awhile. They also had something on the menu that I wanted to buy & they said they stopped selling because of covid. It was just kind of a let down. An updated menu or signs would have been helpful. Covid was 5 years ago... The owners were really nice though and I would visit again if I lived in the area.

We sat near an area where one of the staff members was making fresh pasta. The cocktail menu offers a nice variety, and of course, you can always request one of your favorites. For a starter, we shared a small pie of fried Montanara pizza. Apparently, the dough requires a special preparation over several days to create this little piece of heaven. It was delicious! We also enjoyed the burrata, calamari, and fried artichokes. We continued with several pasta dishes, which were quite tasty and clearly made with care. Our only disappointment was that the pasta arrived a bit lukewarm, and we would have enjoyed it much more if it had been served at a much warmer temperature. The space is super laid-back. There's also a stage in the dining area, so I assume there's live music at times, although we couldn't find any information about upcoming performances. The staff were very attentive. I really appreciated how the staff freshened up our cutlery and dishes as new menu items arrived on our table. Overall, we were really happy to have discovered this place and would come back to explore more of the menu!
