Really cute small tap room with tons of amazing choices and reasonable pricing. Love the small inviting atmosphere and handwritten menu. Also LOVE that there is a cool old school gaming system so our kiddo enjoys coming with us too. Service has been excellent every time. Love to have a new place close by like this!

Great local joint with a sizable menu of rotating beers on tap. One of our favorite spots to try new drekker beers / fruited sours / local brews

This place has a ton of games and it would be an amazing date night! They have a ton of beer and wine choices. I had the sangria and it was super refreshing and my wife had the pomegranate mule. There is a lot of room at the bar and little bar stools all around. The bartender was quick to check in. I just wish he was a little more friendly. This was our first time coming so it would've been nice to have some conversation and a little more information on the beers and drinks other than reading a board. This is a very calm space from what we experienced. It seems like it is a local sport; not to many people. I think the time we stayed there was about 5 people in addition to us. It looks like they have a happy hour from 1-7 everyday. The only other thing I wish they had was dine in foods. It does look like they offer snack foods. It looks like they offer a grilled cheese, popcorn; and a meat & cheese board. They also allow you to bring your own food in if you want which is super nice!

Stopped in here thinking it was a restaurant since I was shopping in the area but it's more like a pub-type environment. Upon entry, I immediately felt out of place as the staff and everyone inside(only a few people were inside) looked at me as if I didn't belong in there. Talk about an awkward moment so instead of seating myself to explore and possibly stick around, I just started snapping a few photos and left. I was so out of place and was such in shock at not being greeted by the lady who worked there that my nervous awkward moment kicked in. Nope, I'll never return and nope I don't recommend it unless you've visited before and fit in. I'm not 100%sure that they are used to diversity, to be honest ...seriously you wouldn't know what I meant unless you've experienced some type of uncomfortable " you don't belong here" moment! Js ‍ It's a no for me but don't take my word for it... go check it out for yourself! ‍ ‍‍ I'm still not sure if they serve food or other drinks besides beer ... On a positive note, it's a cute set up inside

Our favorite new bar. It's close to home, the service is great, the beer selection even GREATER! We have been here on quiet days, and we have been here during a ROCK PAPER SCISSORS competition! Good vibes, always!

Great beer and wine selection, fun and causal atmosphere, and the staff are absolutely phenomenal. A hidden gem in Gilbert, for sure.

Ask the Community - The Whining Pig - Gilbert

Can you watch NFL games here?

We have multiple TVs and can showcase all public games but don’t have the NFL ticket. Thanks for asking!

Can you bring your own food? Do they have a food menu?

They have 4 types of flatbreads and a meat/cheese board. I feel like they'd be cool with outside food, but I've never specifically asked. Really cool vibe in all of their locations, though!

    Is there a live music?

Sometimes there is - we had a guitarist playing the night we were there.

What's some of the HH pricing? Reasonable?

Happy Hour runs 7 days/wk, 1-8pm! It's $2 regular prices, so a good deal.. and runs later than most HH's. Good for weekend day drinking!

    Do they have trivia night?

I don't think so but they do have trivia cards on the bar and a couple board games to play.

It's the kind of restaurant that makes getting dressed up feel exciting and worth it, and I absolutely loved that about the experience. It felt like such a perfect date night spot or place to celebrate something special. The servers were also extremely attentive the entire night. Everyone was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling overbearing. The service honestly matched the upscale atmosphere perfectly and made the whole experience feel even more polished. And OMG... the food. SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. Like genuinely one of those meals where every single bite makes you pause for a second because it tastes that incredible. I got the chicken orzo along with the lime icebox cake for dessert, and both were absolutely amazingggg. The chicken orzo was phenomenal. The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. But the chicken... wow. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being super juicy and tender inside, which is honestly hard to do. Every component of the dish worked together perfectly. Magnificent is genuinely the best word for it. And the lime icebox cake was the perfect ending to the meal, refreshing, creamy, flavorful, and not too heavy after dinner. Honestly, I'm sitting here craving the food again just looking back at the pictures I took. This is definitely one of those restaurants that sticks in your mind long after you leave.

The restaurant itself is very cute and clearly designed for photos, which matches what I saw on their Instagram. Service overall was fantastic. The food, however, was just okay. I ordered the burrata and fig plate and was told they'd replace the bread with apple slices. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. The flourless almond cake was the star, a bit salty on its own, but with the ice cream and whipped cream it was a delightful combo which were the highlight. Overall, this is a great spot for cocktails, ambiance, and photos, but the food is fairly mediocre compared to the setting.

It was about 5:30 PM on a Wednesday and the place was Poppin! The bar was completely full and it was loud!. I noticed that the main menu had a line at the bottom that stated a gluten-free menu would be available upon request. I did ask to see this menu as gluten-free is my dietary preference, not an allergyand I was brought a complementary gluten-free bun instead of the pretzel bread. It's not a very large establishment to cram live entertainment inside (IMO) and we stood inside for 5 mins and just had to leave. It was hard to talk to my fiance or have any conversation. One important note: I hate beer. I don't even like seltzers you'd get in a can that much. Cocktails and mixed drinks are my go-to. However, I do like ciders and my mom likes meads, which means she thinks I'd like meads as well. Anyway, we arrived around 5 on a Friday and the place was smaller than I expected, and not very crowded at all. There was only one bartender and he wasn't busy when we sat down at the bar, meaning he was very friendly and attentive. I like anything fruity and/or sour, so when I saw the sour gummy candy drink, I knew I had to try a sample. Not surprisingly, it wasn't as amazing as I expected. I then tried a sample of this honey pear cider, and it was a little better than the sour gummy candy drink. My mom ordered a 5 oz of the other flavor we were eyeing: the key lime pie cider. That was the best cider we had tried. The mead flavors all looked intriguing, but I just didn't feel right spending $11 on a drink that I didn't even know if I'd like (since you can't sample meads). If I was feeling more adventurous, I would have gotten the pb&j mead, but I opted for a prickly pear and vodka lemonade. I watched the bartender make it and he poured quite a hefty amount of vodka in the glass. I wasn't complaining one bit (my mom was scared though lol). Upon tasting it, it wasn't the best mixed drink ever, but it was strong and went down easy. Plus, it was a better price than these $16 cocktails you see at all restaurants nowadays. My dad got the moose drool brown ale and I hated it whereas he liked it. It was a nice, clean place with just the perfect temperature air conditioning, and the happy hour time range is honestly amazing if you're like us and prefer to go out early and be home for the rest of the night. Also, sick merch. It was giving Game of Thrones (hence the dragon name haha).
