I was looking for someplace new to meet a colleague & noodle through some 2020 planning over a glass of wine. I chose this place because it looked unique & I like to try new places. It's small and, at 4p, I'd say the place was about 30% full with what we're likely regulars - guessing maybe in their 30's. I chose a table in the back & only waited a couple minutes before Daniel, the bartender, came over to introduce himself and take my order. I explained what I like in a Chardonnay & he picked the perfect one. When my colleague arrived, he did the same for her (Riesling). Nice job. We worked for almost two hours, only had the two glasses of wine, though he checked on us regularly and - although the place began to fill, I never noticed the noise level getting so loud we couldn't hear. Happy hour until 8pm! How cool is that? There's a huge selection of wine and beer for $3-7, and I can tell you from my experience that the wine pours are generous. The servers are very friendly, and I like the trivia and board games floating around. The big problem with Whining Pig though is the design. Besides the seats around the bar, there's only one table near the back. The remainder of the seating is against the wall, and who wants to be stuck staring at the wall. Even at the bar, it's difficult to play a game with more than two people in your party since you're not facing each other. I wish there were more high tops like the Arcadia location. But again, happy hour until 8pm. read more

Don't come here to eat! (Although I wish they had a real food menu). The service is top notch. The bartenders were very tentative to myself and my friends. We ordered a meat and cheese board it was good enough for the occasion but don't come here hungry unless you want to enlighten your inner child with one of their grilled cheeses. Very personable staff. Tiffany is one of the most kind hearted individuals and makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. The entire bar has a very hipster vibe with card/board games literally ALL over the place! They have a gigantic chalkboard along one wall for people to write whatever they want and has some very cute messages. I'd give it a full 5 stars if they had more beer on tap. Most of their beers are in bottles/cans which I have no problem with other than not being able to sample some of the craft beers I have no idea of. such a cool bar!! my coworkers always go to this place and i see why! this place was a lot smaller than i thought but it has a cool little homey vibe to it. the selection of drinks is unbelievable. bree the bartender was amazing and she helped me pick a beer i liked - i tried the prickly pomegranate cider and it was so good. my friends warned me though that once they run out of a keg they change it with a new beer so don't get attached to beers as they change a lot. i would definitely come back here. there's lots of games too to play with friends and they even have a classic super mario bros game in there!! awesome first experience (: read more

Tons of selection and chill vibe. Andy and Jacob are great! The beers they recommended were delicious and I enjoyed their music selection.

Will not be returning. Apparently they where at capacity so we waited for 4 people to leave then went in to be confronted by Daniel who was rude an asked us to leave because they reached capacity so I told him 2 or more people left and he said you have to leave. So it's safe to assume they where over capacity. This is the first time I have had a issue with Daniel but I have witnessed him being rude to other customers. Shame because I enjoyed the rest of the staff and atmosphere. I just want to emphasize its Daniel that is the problem not the rest of the staff. I had a sour there...and I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called. It was a cranberry sour and it was hands down the greatest beer I've ever had. Okay, so I'm not much of a drinker and I am most definitely a "lightweight" when it comes to drinking. I also have this gluten allergy which makes drinking beer not an option. I was impressed with how a bartender immediately came over and introduced himself to us and offered suggestions based on our preferences. We were then able to stay at the bar and play games and interact with others. I had so much fun. We stayed there for nearly 2 hours. I'd recommend this bar to anyone. DISCLAIMER: This is a place to drink and be social, not a restaurant per se!! Once you get over that... On to the bulk of the experience! I ordered the Treana White Wine and the Garnacha from Spain. Both were wonderful and at an amazing price that kind of surprised me! I also ordered the meat and cheese plate which I thought was tasty however - the olives in the middle are NOT made for a charcuterie board, they belong in a martini. I'd leave those off all together or at least offer a better quality olive. ( or just substitute more apricots and walnuts). People were filing in and out and it seemed to have a steady flow of guests coming in and out! Our batman was great.
