Simple menu. Good food. Good price. Belly feel full. Fast service. Great place for lunch.

Loved the caption- it's like tasting a hug . First I thought the quantity was less but once I had it, I am so full! The coriander, avocado and the cream combination tasted so yum!! The tali sauce has an interesting taste! Overall the whole experience was good! The only thing I felt was the menu was pretty limited! Would have been great if there were more options to choose from! The place is really small. They have a small window for ordering and I didn't see any outdoor or indoor seating . Overall I would definitely come back.

Quick & delicious! So glad this place has come to Beaverton. It is located right next to Big's! There's no seating, just an order window. You don't need to spend much energy thinking about what you want to order here as there is only one choice! I usual get a big bowl but today for kicks, I tried the bambino size and I feel satisfied. I order without beans & sour cream and I'm never given attitude about it. Some places do! Not here, they usually ask me if I want extra rice instead. Why yes, that's ok? Encouraged even. Gosh, thanks for always being nice people at the window. Welcome to Beaverton! I'll be back for many week day lunches.

I was very disappointed today with how little they filled the bowl with. I ordered big bowl and got the amount of the bambino which is the smaller size. Barely any avocados Whole bowl, you can do better than this!

Tasty and well prepared but overpriced, especially considering there's no meat. Better than yum bowl. Get it if you don't mind the price.

Indecisive? No worries, here because one thing on the menu that is customizable and delicious! Order at the window and get a meal that is healthy and hearty. Add chips if you want and a variety of hot sauces too. With non-plastic lids, bowls, and silverware this window is the way. The service is fast and efficient. Friendly too For first timers, there is a small sample that you can try and dog treats available for the furry friends! Although it was raining when I went, there was a few customers before me and after me. A quick snack or entree that keeps you full. Definitely glad to see this as an addition to the growing downtown Beaverton community

The chicken curry was flavorful, but there wasn't much chicken--mostly sauce. Unfortunately, the dish was also quite salty. The lamb butter rice had a similar issue: very salty, with only a small amount of lamb and a relatively small portion of rice. The server was very nice and friendly and did a great job taking care of us. The atmosphere is probably the biggest draw. The restaurant has a beautiful, almost jungle-like vibe, with plants hanging throughout the space, making it a fun and stylish place to relax and enjoy some drinks. Overall, we spent about $70 for two entrées and two drinks, which felt a bit pricey considering the portions and the saltiness of the food. The food wasn't bad, but this isn't the place I'd choose if you're looking purely for great food. It feels more like a place to enjoy the atmosphere, have some creative drinks, and hang out.

[Format & Space] Seat yourself*, review the menus at the table, order at the bar, they bring your food and drinks to your table. *Plenty of tables, some with long benches, others with chairs on the inside. There's also a large patio. This is a welcome and safe space. [Drinks] Right up front, I'm going to tell you I'm a lightweight. I'm allergic to alcohol, so I don't drink often. Here's one of the things I love about The 649. They have a fantastic selection of mocktails that are created with the same creativity, flair, and intention as a "leaded" cocktail. I appreciate that I get to participate and not be stuck with a lemonade, zero alcohol beer, or wine. So, HUZZAH for creating an inviting space for a non-drinker! There *are* times when I'm willing to risk the lobster-bod, itchiness, and stuffy nose and there are plenty of cocktails from which to choose! [Food] There's a nice selection of sharable plates and mains. I've personally tried the flatbread pizza, Bavarian pretzel, Cubano, and Brisket Press, all of which were delish. [Service] The service has always been fabulous. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. [Activities] There are a few TVs around the bar with sports. It was a great place to catch some of the World Cup games. Additionally, there are several games that you can borrow and play, which is a lot of fun. [Location] Tucked in a busy shopping center with Safeway as an anchor. Parking hasn't been super problematic yet, but based on one of the other reviewers (Ron R - loved your formatting too, so I borrowed it until we get rich text formatting or emojis!) I can see where it could be a challenge.

Because it's somewhat hidden in the corner of a Safeway shopping plaza. Look for the Baskin Robbins or Wells Fargo ATM and your find it. Like other reviews, when busy, parking can be a bit horrendous. But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. Don't forget to check the chalkboard next to the bar for specialty dishes and drinks. As for dining-in, they've got sturdy wooden tables that can accommodate 4-8 people. Bar stools by the windows, and a fairly large outside patio area. And with the times I've been here, I've never seen a dirty table. Very well maintained (two thumbs up). A few TV monitors showing the game, but its not like a noisy sportsbar. * Drinks & Services* You've got your choice of craft beers that rotate like a standard tap room. They also have tasty seasonal cocktails, but their normal everyday cocktails are just as good. And if you're gonna have a charcuterie board, then you've got to offer a wine list option right? Well they got that too! One last thing to mention, they've got some top-shelf bourbon and whiskey. The 649 is a bar that offers it all! Service has also been welcoming and top-notch. I recall only been served by Rich, Steven, and Crystal, but they always seem to craft up some lovely cocktails. Or deliver some clean tasting everyday type of bar food as well. * Last Call * Normally in my reviews, I'd list every item that I've tried, with price included. But The 649 is such a unique type of bar experience that I feel you should try for yourself; To me, their offerings are reasonably priced. Dining in is nothing fancy, but service is excellent. It's a great hangout for a business date, of even after a first date. I've got nothing but love for local support!

Their menu is pretty large but in the best way. There's literally something for everyone from spring rolls to pho to banh mi. My friend and I each got our own DIY spring roll set and I got a cup of beef pho broth with an order of rice noodles to make a mini bowl of pho for myself on the side. The spring roll set comes with 4 sheets of rice paper, fresh veggies (lettuce, basil, cucumber, pickled carrots), rice noodles, your choice of protein (we chose pork sausage), and dipping sauce. The pho broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The spring rolls came out amazing and were so filling. My only suggestion would be to have the carrots shredded instead of sliced to get a more even distribution within the spring rolls. But overall it was a fantastic meal. I definitely recommend giving it a try!
