Wild Iris was a disappointment for us recently. We were both looking forward to the quiche. We both ordered the vegetarian quiche and there were next to no vegetables in it. We sat inside because it was so hot outside and the AC was not very cool. The Wild Iris just did not look very good. Went for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning and there was a 40 minute wait for a table. I figured that all those people couldn't be wrong so we added our names to the wait list and I'm glad we did. There were 4 in our group and everyone had something different. There were 2 specialty quiches that were huge hunks of pie served with choice of sides. I had a skillet breakfast which was several meats topped with your choice of eggs. Comes with fresh home fries brisket hash and your choice of egg. I got poached and it was perfect! My boyfriend got the Iris Skillet -meat bacon sausage and home fries with 2 scrambled on top! The whole thing was delicious! Eggs were fluffy and meats are seasoned perfectly! Added the most delicious slices of avocado! Service is quick and friendly and the indoor or outdoor seating option is great! Love you can bring a fluffy outside! They have a play garden for little outside too!!!! Found this nice spot on Saturday early afternoon (farmers market was hopping across the street). We did have a short wait but no problem, they were very attentive to us and got us seated earlier than expected. Server was great and very friendly, and food did come out in very reasonable time. I will give this place another try, but my food was pretty ordinary. The avocado toast was not great (bread not crispy, avocado smash not super flavorful). Also the quinoa salad didn't have much flavor to it and seemed lacking or missing something. Great spot worthy of another try. read more

Food is very good. I have been coming here for years. Unfortunately tbe last 3 times i have been here service was really bad. Waited for 10 minutes to be greeted by my server and as i was eating and not even done my server asked me to pay right away and qhen i looked around im the only one shes cashing out. I understand if she is done with her shift but she said so she dont have to worry about me. Best breakfast and lunch spot in Dunedin! The owner, Jody, is super friendly and makes a point to get to know his customers. He gives great recommendations, be it: food, what to check out, or what's about to happen in the area. The food is always good, but I rarely want to try new items because their avocado toast is excellent. We drove to the CITY OF DUNEDIN, Florida to play at a festival put on by the Merchants Association of Dunedin. Our first time visiting the area, beautiful,town kept small and friendly. The Wild Iris Cafe was a nice treat, we met the owner the night we played and he made us herbal teas though it was over closing time. We came for breakfast and loved the food, atmosphere and location. He sat with us at our table outside, surrounded by mature willow trees, fresh air and we chatted a bit. Our breakfast was great & good coffee! We enjoyed this small town, and pray it doesn't change like other ruined beach towns! read more

Had a delicious brunch here with my boyfriend and his parents, but they did seem to be understaffed that day and the service definitely reflected it. The food had potential so we may try again sometime, but it arrived cooled and drinks took a bit, coming scattered instead of all at once. They do have outdoor seating available both in a side area and on the front porch, and it's very quaint and homey feeling. The menu has a good variety of items to pick from; I ordered a lunch sandwich and so did my boyfriend's father, while my boyfriend and his mother both ordered off the breakfast menu, so this is a great spot for brunch! read more

This restaurant is in a quaint home, the servers are super nice and the food was outstanding. I had the vegetarian skillet w/scrambled eggs and I absolutely loved it, ate it all! Normally I've enjoyed dining here. Decent food and service, and I appreciate I can bring my dog for outdoor dining. Today wasn't great though. Service was slow and lackluster, the quiche was bland, and sausage like hockey pucks. Our waitress didn't even bring us the itemized receipt to pay, just told us to give her our cards and she'd ring them up. We thought we'd have brunch there after church, so walked over. It turned out to be a horrible experience and we eventually walked out without ever getting our food. The first issue was the excessive wait for a table, when there were open tables. When we finally got seated, we didn't get waited on for at least 10 minutes or so. When we finally got menus, we thought we should order our beverage and food at the same time, since we could see the direction this was going. After about 45 minutes, we still hadn't gotten our food so we got up and left. We saw several other tables around us with huge waits for their orders, and a couple other tables get up and leave as well. We won't be back until they get their service issues fixed! read more

After being ignored for 15 minutes (by at least 3 servers), we asked the host who also walked past us if we could get someone at our table. She went and said something to the waitress at the front. Roast beef hash is made with shredded roast beef. I asked for my eggs "medium hard" which is tough to get right but the chef nailed it. My husband got the eggs Benedict and said it was notably good... they'd done an excellent job with the ham (shaved, not those cheap discs you'll find at fast food joints). Biscuit was good, but as one who makes her own biscuits - they should be light and flaky and this was slightly too dense and heavy... indicating they're overworking their dough a bit. Back off a couple of kneads and I bet they'd be close to perfect. Saw a fun interaction between one of the servers and some returning customers she'd served the day before. She was playing around with them (which they obviously loved) and she recalled the chai lattes they'd order the day before. Nice touch. read more

Parking is not the greatest BUT that's because it's in the heart of Dunedin and parking is at a premium for everyone. Not run well. Food was okay, but there were a number of issues with how it is run. It was an hour before we got our food from when we first arrived, mostly due to being forgotten or mishaps. The hostess was disinterested and not great at coordinating seating, estimating waiting time, or informing us of options. The server didn't acknowledge us for over 20 minutes after we were seated. Eventually, we waved to the manager, who publicly called out the server on not tending to our table - awkward for everyone. We didn't even get our coffee for another ten minutes, and when we did, the server didn't even ask if we wanted cream or anything. They don't care. Weren't empathetic to our experience, and didn't offer anything to help make it right. I don't recommend supporting businesses that don't care about people- prople they work or customers. read more

I had mixed feeling about this place. The atmosphere was fun, cool, and hip. The staff were all artsy, quirky people and that was fun. The décor was fun. The water was served in mason jars. How fun. I wanted to eat inside but it was much too cool to eat inside, no one was eating inside. I am not trendy or hip so I do not like eating outside when I can be inside. The outside was super cute but it was Florida, muggy and hot. I would have preferred to eat inside. The food was not great especially for standard breakfast items. My dining partner said the same thing. I ordered a standard breakfast; eggs, bacon, potatoes, biscuit, and gravy. The bacon was good, the rest was unimpressive. Now, the wait staff were super friendly and helpful. My server was incredibly friendly. She spent about ten minutes taking my order and talking to us. Truly a nice human being and she was super hot and this made my son feel special. So that was pretty awesome. The atmosphere was great but there was one thing about the atmosphere that I did not like. That was the chairs. It was hot outside and the chairs had sidearms so on a hot day your legs are forced together and that was not super pleasant. It would be nice if a few of the chairs did not have side arms but that is a minor point and the atmosphere was still great. So if you only care about food this might be the best place for you. Wild Iris Cafe is such a hidden gem. The quaint home-like restaurant is off the Main Street but just barely. The shaded patio and plentiful outdoor seating made our lunch so enjoyable. I devoured the Wild Club sandwich in minutes. The ingredients were so fresh. Their white sangria is equally as fresh and delicious. My lunch guests enjoyed the chicken salad stuffed cantaloupe and the Wild Cobb salad. I obviously stole bites of each and now I know what to try next time. I paid cash and I guess the lady that made my drinks (I'm thinking the owner) because she searched in her bag for change assumed I was going to just let her keep the change. She was pissed when I didn't. If I'm picking up my $21 drinks please don't assume you will be getting a tip especially when I'm not being seated and the service wasn't all that great. read more
