My wife and I really enjoyed the selection wines here. We ended up buying 2 bottles to go home with. We had the charcuterie with our wine and it was tasty, but the portion size is very small. We did the wine tasting and the staff was really helpful guiding us through each sample. Everyone was friendly and made the experience enjoyable. There is a lot of seating in the main building, plenty of parking, a restaurant adjacent to the tasting room and even a hotel on the grounds. We enjoyed our visit and

This place was so cute both inside and out. I really like the rustic vibes and the view to the vineyards. The service was quick and they were very friendly! The wine flight selection was great. It was nicely sweet and you could really taste the flavor profile described. The food was good too however, it was definitely on the pricier side for the small amount given.

If you are a wine lover, you must check out this little gem on the outskirts of Williamsburg. The Williamsburg Winery is deep back down a windy road, with the vines and grapes growing around your surroundings. Once you turn the corner, you'll approach the winery, Wedmore Place - their hotel, and the Gabriel Archer Tavern. When you walk into the winery, you enter through the retail shop, which has some of the nicest staff to welcome you. From there, you make your way into the tasting room. You can purchase flights, or wine by the glass. The cool part is that you can take your flight outside to their pavilion. The perfect spot to enjoy some great wine! I personally love the rosé. It's crisp and so refreshing. Perfect for a warm spring day! Walking the property is a must. It goes so far back, filled with trails and a cute little pond surrounded by picnic tables. Will be bringing a little basket of charcuterie for my next visit with my girlfriends. And the best part?! They are dog friendly, outdoors of course! Nothing like being able to have a relaxing spring day and include my doggo! That's a huge bonus, especially if you're traveling through and have your dog with you! Highly recommend a visit here!

Cute place. Something to do while in williamsburg. Descent selection to trial. The place can have a lot of energy when it fills in.

My fiancé and I got a sweet wine flight and everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas. This is always a 'must visit' when we travel through or to Williamsburg. Service was alright because they were super busy. I wish they were a little more friendly but it was not bad at all.

My partner and I took a weekday to ourselves and visited the winery for tasting. The service was absolutely wonderful. Our sommelier knew their various wines and made wonderful suggestions based on our individual palette preferences. At the end of the tour and tasting we enjoyed some light snacks. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual we didn't feel rushed at all. The staff were super friendly and helped me quickly purchase one of the wines my partner loved without him knowing as a surprise. We even were lucky enough to enjoy a late lunch at the restaurant across the path. We will definitely be back again to enjoy this local treat. Ps - if you're a tourist looking for a LOVE sign they have one with wine corks.

Stopped in for a tasting with the wife. We were looking forward to this for a few weeks and the wine did not disappoint. We tried two different flights and both were good. We even walked away with three bottles we felt were excellent. Now the facilities were not what we were expecting. The tasting room is very bland, with little to no ornamentation. We were hoping for something that matched the charm of Williamsburg. They also don't provide water or crackers to cleanse your palette between drinks. They are happy to sell you some crackers ($7.00). Just not what we were expecting. How much would it cost to purchase a large bag of oyster crackers and provide each guest with a small amount? This could be better.

Ask the Community - The Williamsburg Winery

Hi! Was wondering if my two friends and I needed to make reservations to come Saturday (planning on arriving at 11)?Also... any restrictions on bringing munchies to go with our wine? (Looking to taste and then sit outside to enjoy a bottle or two)

They have signs that state you can't bring outside food and drinks. We went on a Saturday and no reservation was required but it maybe because it's fall.

They said "we thought you already checked out." I had not and felt extremely intruded upon. I gave it a second try last weekend - never again. This time there wasn't much the staff could have done. The hallways and main corridors were super warm. The room was renovated and was clean - mostly, however, the walls were super thin. One one side a family was blasting the movie Hamilton halfway into the night while on the other side a toddler was screaming for hours. The child did not sleep until after 1AM... so neither did we. I don't blame the other guests, however, structurally I would not stay here. The doors were also thin so I knew who was running down the hall and talking at all hours. I was lucky - our room, 403, was near the end of the hallway. I can't imagine what it would have been like in front of the elevator. At breakfast the person helping us kept standing there staring at us. Each time I went back up to the buffet, I felt their eyes on me. It was quite uncomfortable. Finally, worst of all, I did not feel safe in my room. The hitch that holds the door closed was loose and I didn't trust it to keep us safe. I reported all of these concerns at checkout. I was not even thanked for letting them know, muchless had anyone apologize for the experience. This one is a nope for me.

We have been going here a few times a year for some…read moreten years or so, and I've come to the conclusion that I am the proverbial frog in the pot of water that is slowly brought to boiling...the hotel has been steadily going downhill, a little at a time, and I've finally realized that the gravity of it is really too much at this point. I think that part of the problem is that they have a number of long-stay residents, as I've learned from talking to fellow guests. Yes, I know that Residence Inn is generally targeted for longer hotel stays, but these are people staying months at a time for a temporary job. There is nothing inherently wrong with those types of guests, but it leads to a downgrade in level of service from that of a hotel to that of an apartment building. Also, as a pet-friendly hotel, the hotel has turned into a de facto unattended kennel during the day. While their owners are at work, or vacation travelers go to places where dogs are not welcome, the dogs are left alone in rooms all day, barking and whining...all day long. And once one starts, they all start. The constant din is really unbearable during the day. In the last year or so, signs have gone up around the hotel about Quiet Hours being from 10:00pm to 8:00am. The fact that the hotel management felt it necessary to put those signs up portends the type of behavior that you can expect from some of their current clientele. Garbage cans/piles sitting outside rooms will be there all day long. The walls in the hallways are all marked up. The internet was squirrelly and, according to the staff, it has been that way for over a month due to a power outage. On our most recent visit, we were in our room for less than an hour when the door pops open with another guest walking in that had been assigned the same room...assigned by the same person at the front desk that assigned us that room. When we queried the lady at the front desk about it later, she said that's been happening since the power outage a month or so ago. The lack of concern on the part of the lady at the front desk was alarming. It's really a shame. It is a great location, right on the strip. Many of the staff are friendly and trying to do their jobs, and the complimentary breakfast is pretty good. However, this hotel is not operating anywhere NEAR the Marriott level, and it is damaging the Marriott brand.

First of all, there was an instruction card that came with the reservation however while it did indicate that there is a backdoor, it did not inform that this was the 'main' entrance. There is very limited parking and if you want to park across at the church on or the street, you are at risk of towing. They have no passes for parking in these locations. The beds are their own issue. If you are vertically challenged, you will have great difficulty getting into the main beds. We stayed in a 'suite' (I use this term laughingly as it was just two connecting rooms) that had another room with twin beds. While the main bed seemed to have a mattress from the last century, the twin beds were ancient. The "pillows" that they give you are quite literally flatter than a pancake they would serve you for breakfast. The suite we stayed in was in the front of the house and there is no insulation to cancel ANY of the traffic noises from outside. It was very very stuffy inside and I wasn't able to open a window. We asked for a step stool and were given one that wasn't even as high as a normal step on a staircase. It was still very difficult to get in to the bed. At no time while I was there did I see, hear or meet the host/hostess of the B&B. The only time we met any employee was in the morning during breakfast. These ladies were AMAZING. They almost made up for the lack of any other service or greeting in their friendliness. The breakfast was late the day I was there. There are signs everywhere stating that it would be served at 8:30 but it was closer to 9:30. I'm an early riser so this was a bit of an inconvenience. At least the coffee was available. They had eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal etc. It was set up as a buffet style in a very stylish area of the serving area. The dining room table is gorgeous but there are no placemats to put your plates on, I felt very worried about scratching this gorgeous table. The non guest rooms were fit with comfy areas to just relax and chill after a day of being a tourist. The furniture may not have been the most comfortable, but given how cozy each area was this was easily forgiven. I really enjoyed that each room had a Christmas tree already set up. This is not very handicapped friendly as no matter which way you enter, there are very old steps. The front steps were especially bad. To sum up; Parking; F Comfort; B Room Comfort: C+ Breakfast: A Location: A- Price: C (for our experience it was really really pricey)
