Mezcal Clarified Milk Punch My husband and I both LOVE this cocktail
    Melanie B.

I'll never stop talking about Timothy's! We recommend it to people all the time! I honestly have no idea how many times we've been there. It's fine dining but without being stuffy like some places are. The fact that a lot of the staff has been there since we started going there a few years ago says a lot. We all know there are so many staffing changes at restaurants. My husband and I went there last night. The service was, once again, top notch. And the food was so good - as were the cocktails! They have some staples on their food and drink menus, but they change some things up seasonally. Our cocktails and my entree were both from their new fall menu. My husband got a seafood dish that was a special. They also serve lunch, have a nice happy hour, and a great Sunday brunch. If you haven't been - what are you waiting for?! You won't be disappointed!

Pimento tots & happy hour cocktail of the day (Rusty Nail)

I've been wanting to check out this place for a while and finally made it out to their happy hour on Monday night. I went with the cocktail of the day which was tasty and boozy at $6 along with the pimento cheese tots ($5) and sprouts ($10). The tots were good and it was a generous portion for 5 bucks but maybe a little over-fried. The sprouts were amazing! Thr sprouts are served over whipped blue cheese. I'm typically not a blue cheese fan, but the flavors really complemented each other and I would definitely order this again in the future. The inside is dimly lit with an upscale but accessible feel. Our server was super attentibe. Perfect spot to stop for something to eat before heading to the movies across the street!

Timothy's was a wonderful experience...the first meal out my mom had no complaints about. She actually couldn't stop complimenting how tender her steak was and how crispy her fries were. The service was perfectly on point and the environment was nice without being stuffy. To top it off, they participate in the GiftAMeal program...which I LOVE! Definitely on the "come back" list!

Happy hour at Timothy's? Immediate yes. The vibe is polished-but-relaxed, service is dialed in, and the HH menu actually feels curated--not just an afterthought. What we loved: * House hummus - silky and super flavorful with a little chili-crisp vibe, plus warm flatbread and crunchy veggies. Generous and shareable. * Pimento cheese deviled eggs - tangy, a little heat, and totally craveable with that drizzle on top. * Timothy's burger - juicy, melty, and delightfully messy in the best way. Exactly what a happy-hour burger should be. Drinks were solid, pacing was spot-on, and it's the kind of bar where you can actually have a conversation without yelling. Value is strong and everything came out hot and well seasoned. Tip: Get there on the earlier side--seats go fast. (Check their site for current happy hour times/menu.) This was the place I was most looking forward to during my trip to visit my friend and unfortunately it turned out a bit disappointing. The service was spectacular and we have no complaints there, but the napkins and tablecloths smelled extremely stale which made it hard to get comfortable. I even asked for a new one at one point and it smelled the same and I'm not sure if it's just an issue with the laundry service they use. We ordered a bunch of different items: French onion soup Lobster pot pie Deviled eggs Cauliflower Pork chop Beef roast Steak and fries Bananas foster Complimentary birthday pineapple upside down cake The French onion soup was fairly strange in that the cheese was melted over the slice of bread and you can just remove it from the soup. It was okay - the broth was good and the onions were jammy. Needs more melty cheese. The lobster pot pie needed pieces of chunky lobster. It kinda just tasted like soup with filo dough. The deviled eggs were fine. The cauliflower was pretty good but there was a lot of it (not necessarily a bad thing) - but the blue cheese was fairly heavy. For the entire, the meats were cooked well and the portions were big. I think the sauces needed a bit more flavor to go with it. The bananas foster was purely for fun - it was kind of whatever as a dessert but the presentation is cool. However the biggest surprise of the night was the complimentary dessert for my birthday - which was a small pineapple upside down cake. That cake was incredible. Overall - it was fine - but food was just slightly lacking luster. And they need a new laundry service. Staff was great though.

I've always wanted to try this place and last night I got the chance to finally go. Upon arriving I was immediately greeted by several staff at the front door. My party was already there and seated. One thing I did enjoy was the small intimate setting this place gives. Our waiter had exceptional customer service in discussing the menu items and we both settled on a pepper crusted steak, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. We both asked for the steaks to be cooked medium well but they and they were cooked perfectly. The food was seasoned well and I enjoyed the meal. Several people who weren't even our waiter came by and asked several times if we needed anything and again I appreciate that level of service. If you're looking to try something new with a small intimate type of setting give this place a try. As always until next time...

The deviled eggs were well prepared though didn't have anything significant about the taste, still good qualify ingredients. The salmon was amazing! This is the item that will bring me back, the rice/corn complimented it well without overpowering the salmon. A great new find that I'm excited to try again soon!

My absolute favorite place to go--whether it's date night with my hubby or a night out with friends. The food is consistently amazing, the drinks are always on point, and the atmosphere is just right. We recently celebrated a friend's birthday here, and I chose the location. A few people at the table were skeptical after first glancing at the online menu but let me tell you, that skepticism didn't last long. Once the food and drinks hit the table, everyone was tasting from each other's plates and sampling each other's cocktails. By the end of the night, the entire table was overjoyed, full, and already talking about coming back. And Amanda... words truly can't express how phenomenally awesome you always are. Thank you for consistently making every experience exceptional.

It seemed a surprisingly quiet night at Timothy's for a New Year's Eve. Tables were about full when we arrived, but we must have been the last reservation they accepted (at 8:15) because when we left at 10 we were the only ones left and the staff had reset the room and was starting to gather in the bar. As they should on NYE. Still, we never felt rushed. In fact, our waiter, Todd, was very attentive and even slowed down another server who was going to bring us our salads (a house and a caesar with anchovies) before we had a chance to finish our appetizer (a savory and spicy jambalaya arancini). Good catch on his part. We both had a glass of prosecco to start and then split a bottle of French pinot noir (Domaine de Valmoissine) to go with our entrees (steak tip pasta and steak frites). My wife loved the pasta dish (fresh pappardelle with steak tips, demiglace cream sauce and shiitake mushrooms) and my steak was perfectly prepared medium-rare with crisp and flavorful garlic fries and a side of green beans and shiitake mushrooms. It's the kind of meal and service we've come to expect at Timothy's. We look forward to the spring and some new menu items with the change of seasonal foods.

    crab & sausage gumbo - a 10/10!
    Annette R.

We've been meaning to try Timothy's for a long time but they never seemed to have availability. Finally, we decided to try on a Sunday around noon and we immediately got in. I tried my husband's crab and sausage gumbo (with white rice on top). Absolutely delicious, and he said it is some of the best gumbo he's ever had. I ordered their chicken Caesar salad and will definitely order it again! The homemade dressing is divine and the chicken was grilled perfectly (too many restaurants don't get it right). The croutons were disappointing (slightly sweet and oddly soft as if they're trying to be something else like cookies). The split hard-boiled egg is good but not necessary. The inside of the restaurant is cozy with an upscale feel.

The loud DJ music didn't make sense giving that there wasn't a party happening or a dance floor available for people to dance. Because of this, conversations were difficult to have with a whole table. It makes sense if you're on an intimate date and sitting right next to the person, so you can whisper in each other's ears. However, if you're with a full party of people at a table then you'll find yourself almost yelling across the table or even to the person right next to you just to be heard. I didn't order any food but my friends had some desserts when I arrived. The key lime pie which looked like a traditional cheesecake & the Kit Kat dessert which looked like squares of fudge with some crunchy stuff on top that resembled slivered almonds. Both desserts looked delicious. The names of the desserts just didn't align with arrived. NEITHER tasted like what they were called. I ordered Tequila and orange juice. BEFORE completing my order, I tripled check the price with the waitress who was serving us that night. She told me that the tequila was $12. I was confused because a lot of the drink menu started at $15. She then reassured me it was $12 and explained "it's because we don't charge for chasers. Just for the liquor". Okay, cool. I handed her my card, paid for the drink, and closed my tab. Later, my friend decided we all get a round of shots which I later found out her friend paid for. However, the server charged me AGAIN for my ONE drink AND for the shot which was $11. When I looked at my receipt it showed $39. This was for an $11 shot AND my ONE drink where I was actually charged $19. When I asked the server about it she kept insisting she "never" discussed price with me. (MAYBE if the music weren't so loud, hmmm) We def discussed price. I shut my conversation down with her and began complaining to someone within my party about what happened. The server then kept jumping in our conversation to defend the "we never discussed pricing" lies. We did. I was charged for my ONE drink TWICE and for the SHOT that someone else paid for. ALSO, after 9pm, this place charges a $10 entrance fee. You have to pay to go to a restaurant that's not even really giving club vibes or even offering anything special that another restaurant/bar is offering (food, drinks, music). I paid it ONLY because of my friend's birthday. Will I go here again? Probably not. I'm plant based and don't really drink alcohol much. It gives college kids vibes and date night vibes,

Nothing divey about a hip cocktail or hip deviled eggs -- these are sophisticated modern twists, the exact move wine bars make and dives don't. A chalkboard of specials and weathered seating gesture at the aesthetic; the rest of the room knows. Kendall Roy of restaurants -- comes from privilege, wants badly to be of the people. It's a bit, and mostly the kitchen and bar back it up. Nevertheless, we arrived to a full room, hour wait for a table, but we fortunately arrived to snag the last first come patio table. The bar was also full, by the way, which felt neighborhood like, people clearly like this place during happy hour. The old fashioned makes the case: Old Grand-Dad Bonded, pickled rye, cognac, butterscotch bitters. Two whiskeys and a bitter you won't find at an actual dive. Rich, a little sweet. The harissa deviled eggs keep going -- fried shallots, roasted red peppers, cilantro, marinated tomato jam. You know, just like the old dive with the $1 PBR.Deviled eggs for people that don't like deviled eggs. However, we love deviled eggs...foreshadowing. The short ribs are the headline -- fall-apart tender over whipped potatoes substantial enough to stand up to the meat, gravy spot on. Eats like a perfectly executed roast dinner. The brie burger is the sneaky second hit, genuinely decadent, bacon with the cheese melting into the beef. The service was good and pleasant and that felt more like dive-friendly, where you might expect a wine "bar" to be snooty or full of themselves. 4.4 Stars Picking Nits: hip deviled eggs that reach past what they can hold. Tomato jelly on top is a lot going on, in the wrong way, and the egg disappears under it. These are trying to be hip deviled eggs more than they're trying to be good deviled eggs. We started with the Korean fried cauliflower and it was honestly some of the best I've ever had. The batter was light, fluffy, and crispy, and the gochujang sauce with the mayo was sweet and sticky in the best way. Since it's a butchery, we had to try the steaks. I ordered the 4oz filet Oscar style. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the crab was fresh, and the homemade hollandaise really pulled it all together. My husband had the ribeye. It was a flavorful cut, a little fatty (as ribeye tends to be), but exactly what you'd expect from that cut. The steaks come with a twice-baked potato and vegetable (or you can swap for different vegetables). The potato was flavorful but fairly dense. We also did the bread service - it was good, but felt a bit pricey for the portion. We ended with the flourless chocolate torte, which was very rich and the perfect way to finish the meal - especially on Valentine's Day. Overall, the food was good and the menu is solid. The quality was there, but the portions, bread service and sides didn't fully meet expectations. That said, it was still a lovely experience and a great date-night spot.

Our meal started with a complimentary offering of their bleu cheese soufflé with crisps and bread service--both delicious. I enjoyed a glass of their current "by the glass" Chardonnay, and my boyfriend got a Yeungling (poured table-side). I got my scallops, as planned, which certainly did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly, fresh and delicious. The wilted romaine seemed odd at first but totally rounded out the potato mash at the base, with the absolute flavor-bomb of the shiitakes. Highly recommend this dish any day! My boyfriend opted for the NY Strip; we both agreed it was one of the best steaks we'd ever had; seasoned perfectly and cooked masterfully. There was a slight mishap whereby a food runner gave him a tasting portion of the strip (likely meant for another table); we first didn't realize and were very disappointed with the size. However, without a word from us, the chef came out and personally explained, apologized, and corrected--I didn't snap a photo of the full portion when it came out, but it was perfect and much more what we expected. That brings me to the service, which was spectacular. Several staff members gave us a personal touch and they all seemed to be genuinely happy to be there. The space is beautiful and intimate. It was moderately busy and still quiet. The atmosphere feels upscale, but not pretentious or unapproachable. This place was on my radar for a long time, and I sure wish I'd gone long ago. If you're thinking about it, just go!! I can't wait to come back and try the chefs tasting menu--thank you for a wonderful dinner!
