What a great addition to Saint John's! The Wine Grotto is a newly opened wine bar located on the lower level of Saint John's. Very cool & intimate space with European wine cellar vibes. They offer an impressive wine list with delicious small plates to share. We had a reservation and were seated right away--I'd definitely recommend making one. The Wine Grotto also hosts private parties, so it's a good idea to check ahead to ensure they're open. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive! The sommelier helped guide us toward the perfect bottle of wine. He was very educated and really listened to our wine preferences when helping us choose a bottle. It was clear he was passionate about his craft, which made the process both enjoyable and educational. For bites, we ordered the mac and cheese, charcuterie, and meatballs. The charcuterie board was outstanding, with an excellent selection of cheeses and meats to choose from. The Pork Belly Gochujang Mac N Cheese was a creative and flavorful twist that stood out. Unfortunately, the meatballs were a bit of a letdown--dry and lacking in flavor. Overall, I'd recommend visiting The Wine Grotto. Be sure to check out a night when they feature live music!

"Especially at night I worry over situations that I know will be alright It's just overkill" (Men At Work) OK, here's a serious philosophical question. When it comes to chocolate, is there such a thing as overkill? I ask because on the menu at the Grotto is an incredible $36 Chocolate Charcuterie platter overflowing with chocolate-caramel bar, truffles, gourmet San Francisco chocolates, dipped strawberries, pretzels, ganache, and more. Our group of four couldn't finish it, and after we offered some to the other three couples with us, there still were a few pieces left after we paid our bill and left. The Grotto was fantastic- stunning decor, beautifully decorated, impeccably serviced, with enough excellent food and wine to make you feel like royalty. So, head down that staircase into the Grotto and enjoy a wonderful experience.

Secret gem at Saint John's. This place is so beautiful inside! Pictures won't do it justice, it's so pretty. The wine list is expectedly impressive. We tried a reasonable priced bottle that was wonderful. The food is something to write home about, which surprised me. Specifically, the poached pear salad - just wow. Shout out to Susan the hostess who was able to get us in last minute and was so nice and fun to talk to. Also, John, the GM is a class-act. Excited to host a client event here in the future.

The Wine Grotto in St. John's Inn is such a hidden gem!! It's one of my favorite spots to go for a good glass of wine and small plates of food. The service has never been anything less than super attentive and knowledgeable about everything on the menu and more. They have a huge variety of wines as well as unique, seasonal menu options. The atmosphere is also amazing and no matter where you sit, the ambiance is great. Love this place so much!

What a cozy place to grab some drinks and snacks. It is tucked away in the basement of the resort, but there are easy to follow signs. And once you arrive, you easily forget that you're inside a hotel. It has a lovely velvety vault feel to it, and on a Saturday night, it was full of people. Service was excellent, big comfy chairs, great wine selection and yummy snacks. We had the whipped ricotta and it was so delicious - light and creamy with toasted pine nuts, pomegranate seeds, herbs, honey and balsamic drizzle. An excellent bite before we headed to dinner at 5ive Steakhouse upstairs. Carolyn was an excellent hostess - we were greeted very warmly, and she was smiling all evening. Our server was also excellent. I highly recommend.

Beautiful space and helpful staff. I tried calling to make a reservation and it kept going to a voicemail. We had reservations at Five, the steak house upstairs. We were offered a table with no seats due to a private party. We were happy to take what we could get. We only had drinks here. They were delicious. This will be a regular spot on our rotation.

The Wine Grotto is a new addition to the Saint John's Resort in Plymouth. I was excited to check it out. Located on the lower level, it's a little tricky to find. Luckily for me, I was attending an event in the atrium and found my way to the Wine Grotto. What a swanky space with multiple areas to accommodate guests. If you're looking for a date night adventure, it's a romantic vibe. They offer a limited food menu, but everything looked delicious. If you're in the area, check it out!

Beautiful ambiance and excellent service. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail. The bartender was great fun and we enjoyed chatting a bit. This is a high end place that is classy and elegant. Great addition to Plymouth as it's very unique!

    The entrance is spectacular!!!

The cocktails are stunning, the food (whether brunch or dinner) is consistently memorable, and apparently every plate is so beautiful that I feel compelled to photograph it. Beyond the food, the service is always exceptional. The staff strikes that perfect balance of polished and warm, making every visit feel like a special occasion. And then there's the atmosphere. The abundant natural light, thoughtful seasonal décor, and the undeniable gravitas of a beautifully restored former bank create an experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. The Ledger is absolutely worthy of being a destination restaurant for celebrations and milestones. But the biggest compliment I can give it is this: we don't save it only for special occasions. Whenever we're nearby, we make a point to stop because the food, drinks, and experience are just that good and the seasonal specials never stay as long as you'd hope. And of course, the speakeasy downstairs is always the perfect end to the night.

She's attentive and on it, the rest of the staff made sure our dishes were cleared, drinks were topped off. Ordered Brussel chips, fat-sar salad, Lobster Mac N Cheese, truffle fries, G.O.A.T. 22, trumpet scallop pad Thai. $170.66 The Brussel chips, lobster Mac and the trumpet scallops (mushrooms) Pad Thai noodles were good at least. The G.O.A.T., Fat-sar and truffles were all underwhelming for me. Their tomahawk steaks are huge, table next to us got two cut up table side. You can smell the smoke flavor from the old fashioned drinks as soon as you walk in the door.

The first was delivery and it arrived perfectly prepared and exactly as ordered. I went with the seafood pasta and my family split an order or arancini. Everything was excellent. A few weeks later I came back through for dinner with some friends and we landed on the heated patio. It was cozy and comfortable. We split the bruschetta with prosciutto, goat cheese, and fig spread. Very good! For my entree I went with the asiago baci, little purses of an asiago and ricotta stuffed pasta tossed in a garlic cream sauce with tomatoes and asparagus. So so good! And a nice sized portion as well. For dessert we split a slice of the lemon torte. Light and delicious. The perfect end to the meal. I was there catching up with friends and we definitely moved a little slower ordering (too busy talking!) and our server was really kind and patient with us. A great experience all around.

The meatballs in the spaghetti dish were delicious. Flavorful and not dried out. The sauce tasted like it had been cooked with love. I also liked the short rib. The sauce had been elevated with some wine, and the meat was tender and rich. The accompanying potatoes were so creamy. I would order both dishes again. We each got a dessert. My husband got the tiramisu and I got the chocolate cake. I guess the tiramisu was just ok. I loved the chocolate cake. On our second visit, we tried the Rigatoni Caprino and the Chicken Marsala Florentine. Of the two, we liked the rigatoni better. It had that super red sauce on it. The sausage was on point, and the goat cheese complimented the rest of the dish so well. The marsala was good, though my husband I agreed we had both had better. The sauce just lacked something. My husband wasn't that impressed with the Crème Brûlée cheesecake, and wouldn't order it again.

We definitely enjoyed ourselves and I took a lot of pictures please note they do not have food there but they will pick up food which you have to order online - I was very surprised with the taste of food that we received It wasn't expensive but it wasn't cheap kind of in the middle pricing but the food was fresh and hot because someone from the wine place go pick it up and bring it directly back. So basically it's like a personal GrubHub. Lol! The place is very clean and had a little music going on but there was no other customers so we had the place to ourselves. The person serving us didn't mind answering our questions and also suggesting some wine for us to taste. Please know this isn't a lot of wine but it's still nice and once again you already have a coupon from Groupon If you use that way - I maybe would have felt some type of way if I paid full price. I highly suggest going here and giving it a try. Happy drinking!!!
