Great little find in Peninsula! Amazing atmosphere inside and out - they really spent time with the decor! The staff was very nice and the (I think) own stopped by our table to say hi. We ordered 3 different dips (chicken, artichoke, and crab) and the cheese board. We also had the house cab and Pinot. Everything was very good! The dips m were very cheesy and flavorful! My favorite was the goat cheese on the cheese board. From talking to my friend who has been there before - it gets really packed so make reservations! Very nice, cozy place in Peninsula with a rustic-chic ambiance. Extensive wine list and delicious food. My wife and I ordered the short rib sliders and the artichoke skillet. The sliders are 4 nicely sized sliders, along with a nice salad served on a slate serving dish, and are very tasty. The artichoke skillet is a baked cheese dip served with French bread and sesame crackers. This was almost too much food for two people, and we ended up taking the leftovers home. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and provided some good wine recommendations. While at first glance it may appear on the pricy side, the experience was totally worth it and we can't wait to go back. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, shortly after they opened and a steady stream of customers followed, so I'm guessing this place gets pretty crowded and I could see that reservations are probably wise, especially in the evening. read more

This is the cutest and homiest little wine bar in the Cuyahoga Falls & valley area! Totally worth the stop off old route 8. We've been going since they opened, and they've truly expanded their food menu and now it's a place you can have a nice meal at! They often have live music on the weekends, and the outdoor patio and grass area is really fun in the summer under the lights. They've got a decent wine selection- nothing too fancy, you'd need to go into downtown Hudson for that, but it's a really great date spot or a place to celebrate something special! I planned a staff outing at the Wine Mill and it was so easy to work with the staff. Jesse even called to verify my reservation the day of and was so welcoming. He was very attentive to our needs and my co-workers really enjoyed our evening at the Mill. Everyone fit in the space we had reserved and it was very comfortable for our group of 15. Overall, it was good food and atmosphere, but we waited almost 15 minutes for a server to come over and acknoweledge us, which kind of takes away from it. I made a reservation for 8 p.m. We ended up getting there a little early (it was just me and a friend from out of town), but they sat us anyway. We sat down around 7:50, and no one even looked our way until 8:05. We joked at first that they were not going to wait on us because we were early for our reservation ... and then they really didn't wait on us until after our reservation time. Not one person even said, "I will be right with you ... Sorry I am busy, etc." Once we had our server, it was great though. Way too much food for 2 people. We each got a wine sampler, and I chose 3 red wines, one of which was the house cab, and it was delicious. Then we each got the Vegan Salad in a jar, which we could have split. It was so delicious though. And then we split the artichoke and spinach dip, which was amazing, but also way too much for 2 people to share. We originally said that we were going to get dessert too, but by the end, we were way to full. I really liked the overall decor of the place, and the atmopshere was top notch. Our office held our Christmas party here last night. The food was amazing - various flatbreads, several skillets, chicken parm sandwiches, chips, dips, etc. Plus an awesome cake! We attended the mimosa brunch this afternoon and had a wonderful time. The wine mill is such a cozy little find.

We've been to the wine mill a few times now, and while it's always good, there are some things that would improve the overall experience. First of all, the wine list is pretty short, considering that they really don't have much food on the menu and the main attraction is supposed to be the wine. Unless you're willing to pay ~$50+ for a bottle, your only option is the house wine for $30. As I mentioned, the food menu is also short, but I'm okay with that. I actually really like their idea of only offering plates to share. But I wish that there weren't so many cheese based dishes. If you're lactose intolerant like me, your only other options are salads or sliders. Which are both delicious, but I think they could offer more dairy free options. All in all, this place has a nice cozy atmosphere with good service and good food. read more

The food was not very good. The air conditioning couldn't have been on because it was extremely hot in the building. We ordered a bottle of wine and a carafe of sangria and server only brought us one glass of each, this actually ended up being a good thing because we would have been too hot to stay any longer. Wow, what a great restaurant! My husband and I had a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and generous. There is live music and lots of outdoor seating. There was an extensive wine list order from and local craft and draft beers. The decor has a cool rustic feel. There is actually a big wheel with water flowing surrounded by many flowers. . Perfect date night stop with good win, but plan on only the charcuterie or cheese board. We've been here twice, and absolutely loved it both times. The first time, we stopped before a concert at Blossom and enjoyed a bottle of Chardonnay and the cheese board. This time, we went with glasses and the charcuterie board. The charcuterie board is the correct decision, and seems to be a glorious hodgepodge of current nuts, cheeses, fruits, and a sausage. A couple more meat selections would have put this in a category of its own, but it was still among the best I've had. The ambience is perfect for a midsummer or late summer night, as 75% of the seating is outdoors. They have a mix of patio tables, lawn tables, casual seating, and more. The owner or manager was nice enough to make sure we were having a good experience. My only complaint would be the good menu, and yes I understand this is more of a wine and cheese experience, the salads and sliders are on the $$$$$$$ level while the wine and cheese are on the $$ level. I might enjoy a Greek mason jar salad, but I don't think I could enjoy a $16 mason jar salad unless I received 4 of them. Same for the sliders; short rib sliders would normally check the box for me, but 4 sliders for $22 doesn't. So if it's a nice summer night, you are craving wine and charcuterie, there may not be a better spot in between Akron and Cleveland. read more

Such a gem in Peninsula. One of my favorite spots to go to while I'm visiting family in Ohio! The atmosphere is so cozy, comfortable and relaxing. The decor is so wonderful, it has so much character. Every single thing I have eaten here I have enjoyed. The Crab Skillet and the BBQ Pork Sliders are my two favorite items on the menu, they both came with much more food than I expected which was great. All of the wines that I have tried here have been wonderful and the waiters are very helpful with wine selections, my favorite is the Summerland Chardonnay. This place just opened in the past few weeks. It used to be an Indian mill at the entrance to Tamsin park, years ago and has sat vacant for years. The new owners did an excellent job with renovations. The interior is beautiful! The wine list had plenty to offer and there are also beer and spirits. Pros - Friendly staff - Friendly management - Nice Atmosphere Cons - Drinks took forever to arrive and server was not very knowledgeable about beer. - The menu said they exclusively had beers from an Ohio brewery (the name escapes me) but when I asked what beers they had from that brewery she told me they didn't have any. Not a huge deal, but why say you carry beers from a brewery that you don't? Also, I wish they just had a beer list instead of asking a server to rattle them all off, especially when she doesn't know what they actually are. - My wife and her friend both ordered martinis that were obviously made with a dirty shaker that had recently made some sort of sweet drink. They had to be sent back and remade. Later they ordered martinis again and the bartender made them with Tequila. The waitress told us many times that the bartender was new. Maybe a Saturday night isn't the time for a bartender to learn how to bartend. - I ordered a rye old fashioned. The first one was OK. Not great, but OK. The second was absolutely horrible. They were made by the same bartender. There is no consistency with him and he obviously should not be bartending. - I ordered the short rib sliders for dinner. While the flavor was quite good, it was severly overcooked and dry. We definitely won't be back to The Wine Mill. It's unfortunate because the atmosphere is quite nice but it is WAY overpriced for mediocre food and horrible drinks. read more

This place is amazing! We rented the space for my mom's 50th birthday celebration. I cannot day enough amazing things about the owner, the staff/team, and the venue. We were able to bring the decorations we wanted to bring, set up a photo booth, change the tables around for the layout, have a valet service, stake giant posters into the ground, and special order specific alcohol beverages that some guests would prefer. The owner was so accommodating and wonderful. My dad got my mom a car and the owner worked with the neighbor to keep the car in their garage until we could bring it out front to surprise her. At the end of the night the staff was so helpful in cleaning up. They made sure everything was absolutely amazing and we cannot thank everyone enough for an evening that made my mom so happy! We just came for dessert and drinks and had the best time! The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. The building is from 15 years before the Civil War. The owner showed us a history book about the building itself. September 25 and the restaurant was decked out for fall. There were pumpkins and candles lit -such a warm atmosphere. Most deserts are in a mason jar and the drinks are great. I had a local beer, an IPA from Cleveland Heights. We had the ice cream sundae in a mason jar and my husband had the mousse.
