Rustic Roots Winery is such a hidden gem just outside the Twin Cities and absolutely worth the day…read moretrip! The vineyard landscape is BEAUTIFUL and makes for the perfect relaxing night or afternoon. The refreshing white wine pictured was delicious and perfect for a warm day outside. The flatbread was exactly what you'd expect for a light winery snack, but super reasonably priced which I appreciate! Definitely bring a DD so you can take advantage of their awesome bottle pricing instead of just ordering by the glass! Their social media is also worth checking out because they host so many fun events like yoga, concerts, private events, and more. Such a peaceful atmosphere with great vibes all around. Can't wait to come back!

Upon…read moreentering the gates of the winery, it transports you to wine country with rolling hills and vineyards for days. I went on a Sunday around 1pm and it was very chill with plenty of seating options under a pergola, picnic tables by the vines, etc. lots of different choices as well as inside by the bar. There are 2 bars on property, 1 inside and 1 by the events center. I'm assuming you can rent the place out for weddings and currently they are under construction in the parking lot. I ordered a caprese salad with chicken. It was just okay. It came in a chipotle "like" bowl and the chicken was minced. The menu said thick slices of heirloom tomatoes but they ended up being cherry tomatoes and the mozzarella was light on the portion. More salad than anything else and was drizzled with balsamic. I don't think it was worth $19 but if I'm paying for convenience, I get it. Just let your customers know that it's cherry tomatoes and not heirloom tomatoes when they are ordering. This is how the menu item reads: Thick slices of heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, and torn mozzarella on top of greens, dressed with balsamic glaze. I opted for a non alcoholic beverage - root beer which was delightful but next time I'm getting the rose. The staff is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back to order something different on the food menu.

We made a stop here for some wine and to enjoy the beauty on Sunday, and it was an amazing time. We…read morewere seated right away and our server was Jenna. We tried a few different flights of wine and flat breads and enjoyed the beautiful view of the vineyard. The place is truly breathtaking, and at the time, they had live music playing outside. Jenna made some very good recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. ::Caution:: I still gave this place 5 stars because this has nothing to do with the service or the quality of the food or location, but we were picturing a nice, calm brunch, sipping on wine, not a Chuck E Cheese experience. Apparently, we were upgraded to the deluxe Chuck E Cheese package and were seated around lots of parents who decided to bring their young kids to a vineyard. The kids were running wild around tables and crying and screaming. Not one parent corrected their kids' behavior and just let them run around like free-range chickens. There were also people complaining that there were no non alcoholic drinks that they wanted at a vineyard. When I went inside there seemed to be no kids indoors. While another group could not control their kids and kept knocking things off the table, including glasses of wine. No one seemed to mind outdoors because most of the people had young kids, so be warned that this may be a possibility, so research your days before you go. Overall, if you remove the kids running wild and crying, the service was fantastic, the wine was good, lots of parking, the ambiance was incredible, and the food was good.

The atmosphere was cozy and charming, and it was the perfect spot to unwind with a great glass of wine. We're already looking forward to coming back during the winter months (as long as they're open!) because this place just has that special vibe that makes you want to return again and again.

I went for a summer yoga class but left white much more than alignment!…read more First, let's start with yoga class... I ended up being the only one who signed up for that afternoon so I got a one on one session with the instructor. We did the class in the vineyard on a beautiful summer day! The instructor played music and was accommodating to my specific needs and answered all my questions! After the class I was so hot from being in the sun I went straight into the winery which had just opened! With the class I got a free glass of wine so I got to choose from several options. I decided to also do a wine flight because the wine was so good and I still needed to cool down. The staff inside also suggested that I try the pizza next door so of course I did! You can order online and then you get a text when it's ready. Once it was ready I took my flight outside to a table and then grabbed my pizza from next door. The pizza was great and so was the wine! I definitely recommend this place for a chill date, or even a gathering with friends.

We went Sunday afternoon in the middle of winter, so we didn't get to explore the Barn or what they had to offer outside, but we were perfectly happy inside. It's a small bar with a home-y vibe, games, and some cute merch (definitely bought the softest sherpa sweater). The bartender was so sweet and let us know that, even though it wasn't on the menu, we could do a mimosa flight! If you're in the area it's worth checking out!

Amazing scenery and definitely worth the drive from the city to find this modern chic farm to table…read morerestaurant in the countryside. Plenty of parking available. Inside is beautiful and grand with a mix of luxury and comfy. Felt really cozy inside with great energy and vibes. Service was very friendly and attentive. Order: Signature cider flight. Four different 2oz samples. All delicious with a great balance of sweet and tart. Burrata appetizer. Creamy and delicious. Exactly what you hoped for. The surprise was that it was wrapped in thin cucumber strips that added a little crunch and freshness. Shaved kumquats added that hit of sweet and sour. Bucatini tutti mare. Handmade noodles had great texture and chew. Creamy sauce was good. Mussels were fresh. I wish the shrimp were grilled instead of sauteed in the sauce, it would have added great flavor and texture. Protip: ask for Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top. It added that needed nuttiness and savory element. Braised cabbage. There were charred bits of cabbage that added great texture and flavor. The savory red sauce was delicious and was the perfect pairing. The star of the dish were the chunks of halloumi cheese that added the needed texture and salty element. Overall: This is a destination restaurant. The vibes, the service and the food make this a must visit on your Minnesota food tour.

I thought the wine flights were a little bit pricy but they had really generous pours that made it worth it for sure. Each one of the wines we tried were so tasty and I would have ordered a full glass of any of them! The goddess pizza was also absolutely incredible. The Bianca sauce was so flavorful and the crust was perfectly crispy. It was also larger than I was expecting, so we were able to share it which was really nice! Our waitress Madi was so helpful and kind and delivered excellent service! I cannot wait to come back and try out their dinner menu!!
