While I can…read moreunderstand it is an old building and definitely outdated parts of the rooms but the cleanliness should have been much better. Especially since they called us saying we could check in early if we chose to because the room was ready early. They had plenty of time to do a better job. The coverings over the box string and mattress were very stained, almost everything had a coating of dust, a couple of the towels had markings and the shower liner also had stains. The dust was so bad in the room that we had to get allergy medicine because we woke up feeling awful from the dust. We removed a fake plant coated in dust from the room moving it to the hall and got cleaning supplies from the front desk to clean the AC, fan, etc. The AC was horribly coated like it hasn't been dusted or had the filter cleaned in years. Also, the AC barely worked to cool down the room. The dust was piled on the lights, door frame trim, baseboards, and so on. The bathroom could highly benefit from even minor upgrades. The threshold holding down the linoleum was popping up from the floor, the shower head was practically an outdoor water spigot that you'd see at the beach to wash sand off, and there was no vent to deal with moisture from the shower. For other updates the ceiling has visible water damage marks and cracks along the walls. The continental breakfast is just highly processed pastries and sugary cereals. Some fruit would've been a cheap and desirable option. Quite a bit of noise from the music in the restaurant and could hear banging / foot steps from down stairs anytime of the day. Only giving this place 2 stars because the front desk workers were nice. But a stretch to call it a hotel. Extremely disappointed that we paid to stay in such discomfort but being summer in the cape options were limited to switch after seeing the room. It is hard to find funding could be a source of issue for cleaning properly or basic up keep when they have two restaurants and rooms they are charging a decent amount of money for.

Despite costing over $200-250/night and boasting "spectacular views" of the bay, this is not a decent motel, nor are the views spectacular (or even acceptable, given the website description). If you're on the second floor, you DO have a view of a fence, some AC units, neighboring trees, and the bay in the far, far distance if you stand in the corner of the porch and squint (see photos). Other rooms have views of the concrete parking lot. Please note that you can book an *entire cottage* in Truro/Wellfleet on the water for the SAME PRICE. Cape View is a run-down motel on a busy street with trucks rattling by all night. The appliances are ancient, the floors and furniture are at a 45-degree angle so things roll off tables, the paint is cracked and peeling (photo), the ceiling is wavy - looks like the roof may be leaking?? - and our door handle was falling off the door. Folks are permitted to smoke on the back patios, so our room often reeked of cigarettes. There are no table lamps, just fluorescent overhead bulbs. The deluxe and kitchenette rooms are handy, but somehow the owners of the Cape View Motel haven't heard of the climate crisis: you'd think they'd have some actual mugs, plates, and silverware rather than just disposable plastic crap. We're 2.5 years into the pandemic, kids. The planet is on fire. It's 2022, won't you please join us?? The worst part is their refund policy. When you show up and discover that the motel doesn't look anything like the photos - that there is no "spectacular view" as advertised - that nothing is new, modern, or pristine, as advertised - that the street noise sucks - that the pool looks nothing like the website pics - you are simply SOL, because the owners have decided that there are *no refunds* once you've seen the crappy rooms. Since their refund policy is buried on the website, I include it here: "Cancellations received 20 days prior to arrival and up to 3 days prior will be charged the full amount of the deposit. Any cancelations within 3 days of arrival will be charged the full cost of the reservation." THAT SAID, the staff here is amazing. The woman who gave us our keys when we arrived greeted us warmly and was always lovely to be around. She sent confirmation emails, gave us info about local restaurants and beaches, and was available for all questions. The staff dealt with every issue quickly, professionally, and kindly. The owners are incredibly lucky to have this staff, as they are the saving grace of this place. This review would be much worse without them. TL/DR: Cape View is a shabby roadside motel on a busy street with no views to speak of, priced well above what it's worth. The staff is amazing as is Customer Service, but I highly recommend renting a cottage or an Airbnb instead.

After the third call I found Along the Harbor. What a surprise! No website, no publicity, but a truly lovely place to stay in a plum location. The Winslow suite has a beautiful view of Plymouth harbor and gets a natural cross breeze. There is a porch on the rear of the building that also overlooks the harbor - an ideal place to unwind with a glass of wine. The location is in easy walking distance of all of the downtown attractions, including the Mayflower II and Plymouth Rock. Please note that this B&B does not serve breakfast. I guess that just makes it a B. Instead they provide vouchers for local restaurants. As we wanted to sleep in this turned out to be a boon. If I make it back to Plymouth we're returning here. Along the Harbor is a pleasant surprise.

She even mailed us directions. No not email, good ol' regular post mail. That alone made me extremely excited and even more grateful that we found this spot. Upon arrival at 4am, we were greeted with a handwritten welcome sign hanging from the doorknob and a very clean quarters. The bed was a bit worn in and too soft for my liking, but we managed to sleep well enough. The next morning our senses were awoke by the gorgeous sunny views and fresh ocean cross breeze. Though breakfast isn't served on property, vouchers ($20/ea, which are included in the cost) are issued for local fair. We chose to opt out of the vouchers and take the $40 off of our rate. We spent all day venturing through the towns antique shops and sight seeing attractions. All of which were in very close walking distance. Ms. Beverly, even suggested an ice cream parlor just up the road in Duxbury, where we had the time of our lives wandering through all the ocean front communities, eating the freshest lobstah ever and savoring the creamiest ice cream for dessert. The first impression of this place was so good that we almost forgot we were there for a wedding. No matter where you need to be in eastern, southern or central MA, I would suggest you stay here and drive to your destination. I won't continue to rant... Just go!!! It is beyond worth it.

It was nice to have breakfast daily, and that was one of my favorite amenities. I usually enjoyed an omelet, and usually coffee and a muffin. The Inn staff was friendly, but the housekeeping staff was kind of loud in the mornings yelling towards each other across to each other. With it's cental location, the Crowne Point Inn is perfectly located in Provincetown.

We had the full room and there were mermaid paintings throughout the room and the cottage. Everything was so beautiful. The bathroom was a little small side, but we were fine with it. Linda is so hospitable and communication is excellent. She even accommodated us last minute for a late arrival when we needed a place to stay. We were in Salem for Haunted Happenings Halloween festivities. Everything in Boston and Salem was booked up so we decided to take the drive out to Cape Cod for the night. This turned out to be a wonderful experience! We are so glad that we did. In the morning, we went to the Monument beach and marina area. It's beyond the normal continental breakfast. The Inn is perfectly located. One block of the main drag. Close enough to it all but with a little bit of distance so that at the end of the night, you feel like you are off to your own private retreat away from the craziness of Ptown. Our room was absolutely perfect. Everything was so well considered- from the furniture, to the colors and the amenities. The space was flooded with soft daylight diffused by the trees outside the window. The bathroom was spotless, also had a window, and although it was small it was totally sufficient.
