We arrived at 5 and the place was empty so seating was quick. Just because there weren't seated guest doesn't mean they weren't busy - there were a lot of pick up orders. Anyway the server was pleasant, answered all questions, and was very understanding with my two year old grandson. The food was the star of the show. So so so good. Periodt full stop. I've ordered from Thai Taste a few times, and it's becoming one of my go-to spots for quick, tasty Thai food. Their rice dishes stand out--they're flavorful, filling, and very consistent each time I order. The duck options are surprisingly generous with the protein, especially compared to the chicken dishes, which is a nice bonus. The Pad Thai, however, wasn't as impressive for me. It wasn't bad, just didn't have the depth of flavor or balance I was hoping for. As for spice, level 5 varies a bit by dish. This was fire!! I got the beef pho which was fantastic!! I can't have gluten or soy so I attached an allergy note and they honored my request for no soybean sprout. My husband got the chicken pho and said it was good too! My friend got the cashew nut stir fry and he said it was warm and comforting! The outside is nice and clean but we did feel like the front door was a bit unassuming...we kind of felt like when we opened it that we might be accidentally going in the side door. While in town for business, I was on the hunt for easy takeout after a long day of meetings. Thai Taste to the rescue! The yellow curry was delicious with just the right amount of spice and perfectly cooked veggies. None of those rogue overly hard potatoes or carrots that catch you by surprise and take you out of your food reverie. And the fried rice? I am in town for a conference and this spot was right around the corner from our hotel. We walked in and immediately was greeted by an older gentleman and invited to sit down at one of the large tables. Because we're on business trip we needed separate checks and he was very obliging. When asked what was good there he said everything which just tickled my heart. I had the crab Rangoon, the Vietnamese spring roll, and the chicken sauté. All three items were very tasty. Their peanut sauce is a little different than when I'm used to it, but it still tasted really good. My colleagues ordered several different dishes, which they all stated were very tasty. Disappointed by the customer service. Placed a to-go order and picked it up at the counter from a young girl working the counter. Since the restaurant was empty (we were the only ones there and it had just opened), my friend and I asked if we could sit and eat our food inside. The response we got from the little girl was, "Did you guys tip?" -- said with a face () that made it clear we weren't welcome. I asked, "Tip for what? For picking up my food?" We weren't expecting any service at all -- just to sit, eat quickly, and clean up after ourselves. Even if she were to provide service (which of course we would tip for), asking if we are tipping is insane to me. She eventually said it was fine since no one else was there, but the interaction had already made us uncomfortable enough to leave. The food was actually halfway decent, and we work right across the street, so we would've come back regularly. But after that experience? Definitely not returning. This is a fairly new Thai restaurant in Trophy Club. The restaurant itself is small so not good for large groups (imo anything over 6). They offer a vast menu. When we went on a Tuesday evening, there were two waitstaff who did everything (cleaning, taking orders, seating etc). We ordered fairly quickly but it took some time for our items. Not only that one of the entrees came out before the appetizer. But the food was good. I ordered the drunken noodle with a 3 spice level... it wasn't at that level. But it tasted good. The basil fried rice was excellent. The corn cakes tasted similar to a flat hush puppies. It was ok. I would definitely recommend this place based on its flavor and authenticity. We've been to most Thai restaurants in North DFW - this one was lacking in both food and integrity. The pad Thai, Nam Tok, and red curry tasted burnt. The Thai tea was great. Also, watch out - they added gratuity to our bill for 5 people and then handed us the tablet for more tip.
