One look at the menu and we knew we had to stop in; anyplace with six kinds of Mac & Cheese is definitely worth a try. We're very glad we tried it. It's small with about eight tables and a long bar, but we were able to find a table at about 1:00 p.m. on a Thursday. Houston, our server/bartender/table clearer was very friendly and answered our newby questions patiently. They have a good beer selection with seven taps and countless cans and bottles. The wine selection was not big, but my companion found something she liked. We had caprese, olive-and-feta starter, and a veggie mac & cheese. They were all great, and the mac & cheese bowl was enormous: I'll easily get two and maybe three meals out of it. When in the area, we'll definitely be back. read more

My husband and I went here last night for a quick date night and were wishing we had discovered this spot sooner. The drinks were the best I have ever had. I had the frothy pear and it was the perfect cocktail. We got the pretzels and queso to start which were a perfect little bar snack. My husband tried the Prime Rib and I got the Havana. Another sub stellar experience at the Workshop TAVERN (emphasis on the word TAVERN). Stopped in to grab a quick beer (doesn't exist at this TAVERN) while waiting for my pizza next door. Only two guys at the bar at 6:30 pm (pretty dead considering the Women's US Open was in town) so I sat down in front of the bartender who was making one of their specialty whiskey drinks. I watched as she made the drink along with another girl who was behind the bar watching her too. Not sure if she was another bartender or what, but she made no effort to ask me if I wanted anything? I told the main bartender I wanted a draft beer. I watched as she poured my beer and it came out as 50% foam. This is not a successful practice if you are trying to make money selling beer. I would expect that the owner of a TAVERN would know he is pouring his profits down the drain and would get it fixed? Oh wait, he is not pouring his profits down the drain but into another pint glass. It seems that instead of fixing the problem with their beer system they simply pour the foam into another pint glass and place it into the cooler waiting for the next unsuspecting bloke to order a beer. I watched as she tried to pour the beer from the cooler (which I am sure was old and flat) into my pint glass. Perhaps if this was a Denny's I could accept that practice but not a place with the word TAVERN in their name. The owner is a very nice guy but do yourself a favor and hire a GM who has F/B experience to run the place for you as you are in over your head. read more

The Seansonal Menu for cocktails is a Must...The Espresso Martini was delicious ...I have been craving a good Martini and wasn't disappointed.
