My husband is a pizza junkie and I have probably hit every pizza joint downtown to grab him a slice. He wanted pizza for lunch today. I didn't want to grab him a slice that was previously made and reheated so I stopped into Casanova Pizzeria today. To get to this joint is probably easy but with all the road construction going on, it was a pain to get to today. I finally made it in and I'm happy they have designated parking for their guests. I probably would have left if there wasn't parking. They do have two points of entry, one for dine in and take out. Made my way in and saw how pretty this venue is. I love the big windows and the brightness of the place. It's very spacious with very pretty light fixtures. There was a menu at the register and checked it out while I waited for someone to help me. To be honest, I waited for a hot minute there. It wasn't till another guest that had a pick up order that showed up when the waitress greeted me. I ordered a small pizza with half marinara and half Alfredo sauce with extra cheese for my husband. I was told 20 minutes would be the wait time so I made my way to the gas station across the street real quick to kill some. Made my way back and hung out for about 10 minutes. My pizza was ready in a pretty white box stamped Casanova on it. I looked at it to make sure it was all good and made my way to my husband. The pizza was pipping hot! The crust was golden with some char spots on it. The cheese was beautifully melted in the middle. It was a beautiful pie. I had a small slice cause why wouldn't I? The cheese had a great cheese pull. The slice was thin nad had a nice layer of sauce. The mix of the sauces were perfect! The crust was crusty on the outside but soft and airy in the middle. What I appreciated the most about this pizza is that there wasn't a huge crust to it. You got pieces with minimal crust so you're getting to enjoy all the goodness of the sauce and cheese. This joint is legit good. It's not the cheapest pizza but you are definitely getting your money's worth. I don't know when we will be back but if it's soon it will definitely be a date night spot for us. I look forward to eating another pie and trying one of their salads.

Huge ranch salad. I love they mix up the dressings before they bring it out

Come Hungry & Leave Happy! Really impressed with this place! The restaurant has a fun atmosphere with great views, and the layout is well thought out--takeout has a separate entrance, so you don't have to weave through diners if you're just picking up food. 100% 5 service all round from the servers, to cooks, and take out! My wife and I shared a salad, and it was massive--we were still eating it the next day! The pizzas are great too, and we loved that you can split the pies, even with different sauce bases. We couldn't decide, so we went half red sauce, half olive sauce, and it was perfect. Also, big plus that a lot of their wines are from Italy! Can't wait to come back.

    Cheese pizza/ Caesar Salad

Casanova Pizza is hands down my favorite pizza spot in Boise. The crust is absolutely perfect every single time. Light, crisp, and beautifully balanced with just the right chew. The sauce actually tastes like real tomato and complements the crust instead of overpowering it. They also understand restraint. The toppings and cheese are high quality and never overloaded, which lets the pizza itself shine. And the Caesar salad? Truly the best in the Treasure Valley. Fresh, crisp romaine, bold flavorful dressing, and the perfect parmesan finish. It's one of those places where you crave both the pizza and the salad equally. I come here weekly with my son and it never misses. Consistent, classic, and done right every time. Boise is lucky to have Casanova.

Not sure how this place got 4.6 stars. We tried four different pizzas and all were horrible. Super floppy

When we visited here last weekend, my wife realized this was reincarnated from its days on Vosta Ave! We stopped in around 2 PM for a late lunch early dinner thing. The only odd thing is the parking. Limited on the street but you can park in the parking lot at the end of the building. That said, the pizza is amazing. We had the Mondo with added Jalapeño and fresh basil. Not a crumb was left. Crust was perfection. Having travelled to Italy last year, we loved the amount of Italian wines they offered. Service was excellent. Eva was a blast to talk to and she had such a great personality. This alone will be reasons we will return when we are near the Boise area. Oh, and the artwork you can see at the top of my picture was done by her. Didn't know that when photo was taken. Glad we now know this place is back in operation. You will love the food!

First the staff was amazing. Justin is so personable and easy to have a great conversation! We met the owner who was friendly and just a pleasure to meet. The food was fantastic! We will be going back many more times I'm sure. Try it you won't be disappointed!!

We wanted to try this place out based on reviews we had saw. The Caesar salad portion was a good size and cheese bread was tasty. The pizza was just ok. The second Pizza had burnt crust as you can see in the pic. What was Really lacking was the service. They need More than one waiter. Took forever to order and forever to pay.

Best pizza in Boise. Let me say this again. Best. In. Boise. My family became fans of Casanova back when they spent nearly a decade in a Vista Ave. building. Then, they were forced to leave and spent years looking for a new home. We'd almost given up hope of their return. Now they reside in the Adare building near north end. Only the location has changed. Their excellent food remains the same. I haven't had a pizza I don't like here. My go to is the Don Ho. It's ham, smoked mozzarella, pineapple and black olives. Puts a typical Hawaiian pizza to shame. Like garlic? Go for The Comet. Tasty bread? Pagniotelli. And the house-made Tiramisu is amazing. Service is super friendly. They know their patrons and welcome with smiles and kindness. The ambiance is chill but colorful. Hand painted murals line the bar. It's open and airy. Windows bring in good light. Try it on a date or for the decently priced lunch special of pizza, salad and a soft drink-$12. If the family wants pizza, it's Casanova all the way.

The pizza is amazing! The toppings are so fresh and delicious! The crust is the perfect combo of crunchy and chewy, it's hard to describe, you have to try it for yourself! It's the only New Haven style pizza in the valley! You have to check it out!

I went to the bathroom to. Wash up before heading back out. By the time I got back, my pizza box was gone. Come to find out the trainees were over eager and bussed it away. I was ready to honestly just leave it, but one of the workers said they would look for it. While waiting, another came over and said they would make me a fresh one to go. They offered any drink while I wanted, chatted with me while we waited for the pizza to be made, and then ever offered a dessert to go on top of everything. I did not take them up on the dessert offer, but I was so very appreciative at the end. Mistakes were made, but their commitment to service at the end was honestly wonderful and amazing. I will definitely recommend this place again!

Yet I wanted to experience their take on Detroit pizza one last time before they lock the doors for good. Yesterday, I called to order a Detroiter pizza, my go-to pie since they opened, for takeout. The woman who answered the phone asked to put me on hold for a "short wait." Ten minutes later I was still on hold and hung up. Today, I decided to try again. I called at around the same time, 4:30 p.m., which normally has not been a busy time there before the dinner rush starts. This time, I was told to call back. What? So I went online and ordered there for pickup. I got an email back immediately, saying my order had been submitted but that it wasn't confirmed until I got a second email with my pickup time. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting for that second email. What a horrible operation they've become. Their pizza was excellent in the beginning and I didn't mind driving across town to a convenient location near the airport to pick up one of their pizzas. But as their quality slipped, I found myself going there less and less. Today's failure will be the last time I try before they close forever. All I have is the memories from better days.

The last time I ate here, I really enjoyed our meal so I knew I was in store for a good lunch. I arrived first. I hung out for a bit. We got started on the foccacia bread and olive oil/balsamic dip. The bread was good but it wasn't warm like the previous time. It was nicely seasoned and buttery on top. The olive oil/balsamic dip is so good with it! We breezed over the menu while we were enjoying the bread. Raylyn came and took our order. We ordered some fried mozzarella to share. For lunch I got a side of meatballs and my friend got the chicken parm on pasta with a side salad. The fried mozzarella was so good! The piece of mozzarella that was fried was so thick! I had a fourth of one of the cheesesticks. I didn't want to get too full when I still had meatballs coming. My meatballs were so good! It was generously covered in their marinara sauce. It was rich in tomato with a slight heat to it, so good! My friend's chicken parm pasta was a generous portion! I probably could have made 3 meals off of his plate. He enjoyed the chicken of course and had some of the pasta. We couldn't end lunch without some birthday dessert so my friend got some cannolis started. This is my first time trying a cannoli and woooooow! It was so good! The cream in the middle had a orange flavor to it with some chocolate chips. The exterior of the cannoli was crunchy and sweet. The ends were dipped in semi sweet chocolate and was so good! I probably could have polished 2 more but I was so full from lunch. Next time I'm going to just have the bread and cannolis. That dessert was perfection. Lunch was fabulous today. Our food and dessert were divine. Raylyn did a marvelous job taking care of us! She was kind, attentive and is great at customer service.
