I hadn't been practicing yoga for some time, so I felt that a smaller studio would help me feel less intimated. I am so glad I found this gem! I had walked past it so many times as my favorite Mexican restaurant (Lucio's) is next door, and while I was curious, like a lot of people reluctant to start a workout plan, I made excuses to pass on this studio and others. Now that I'm consistently going to classes--I realize now that I should have allowed myself to indulge a bit on my emotional healing and physical well-being. This studio is perfect for calm, relaxation, exercise, and peace. The sessions definitely provide therapy for both the inner and outer self, and the yoga instructors make this all happen. I feel like I've finally pampered myself being here. I see this place as a haven for anyone wanting and needing both quiet and movement. I definitely recommend this studio. Enjoy! read more

I'm so glad Yoga Harbor opened. Bethany and her team of instructors are amazing, I was impressed that Bethany knew my name right away...that's something I still struggle with. I train a lot of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Yoga has been a tremendous part of my training regime. It not only helped my BJJ, it also helps with my lower Back (sciatica) tightness. I mainly train on Saturdays with Roxan, She's freaking amazing! When I told her I was having lower back pain and I was really tight in my legs, she catered the class to my needs and helped with all the poses, she also showed me a lot of other stretches that I can do at home that will help me alleviate the pain and tightness. The price is really reasonable and the studio is always clean and it doesn't smell. I've been to a few places where I took Hot Yoga or Bikram and it was smelly. I don't care to sweat it all out and smell. Definitely, go check Yoga Harbor out and Give Bethany a call. read more

Took a restorative yoga / meditation class here last night with my fiance through Class Pass. Jane is a great instructor and we really enjoyed the slow place and the low lights in the studio. It was very relaxing. Mats were available to rent (we brought our own), there were cubbies to store our things, and lots of free props to use like bolsters, blocks, blankets, and tune up balls. I'd never used tune up yoga balls before but they really helped get into the deep tissue of my feet and shoulders. I would probably purchase a pair of my own to use and bring to the studio as we did use them a lot on our face and I've got sensitive skin. There was plenty of street parking around the studio. I would definitely try other classes here! read more

I've been meaning to write a review for a while now. I've been going to this studio intermittently for about a year now and I've really enjoyed practicing here! The instructors are incredibly kind and informative. I feel lIke the yoga is more of a gentler pace and varied flows compared to other studios, which is what I prefer. Not to say that the classes are not challenging - you can vary it as you feel in your practice. Though the studio may not have as many classes throughout the day as some reviewers noted, I feel like the quality of the classes definitely makes up for it! read more

I joined Bethany at the Yoga Harbor when she did her mini yogis series (I forget the actual name of it, was way cuter than that). I brought my daughter with me and even with 10 plus moms and toddlers in the room she still lead with a cool, calm, and collected demeanor. I have also taken a normal, toddler free, yoga class with Bethany as well and have to say she is likely one of the most educated and thoughtful teachers I have ever had the pleasure of practicing with. read more

Truly a lovely studio, it's such a great addition to the neighborhood. I've never practiced with any of the instructors here but I absolutely love the classes I've tried. I used to go to the green yogi, I like the vibe of this studio so much more. It's down to earth. Plenty of parking, plenty of room for your mat. Easy sign up and sign in on classes. The specialty is all level vinyasa which is great. Accessible for newbies, but challenging enough to keep more experienced yogis engaged. Love this studio! read more

I've been coming here for almost 3 months now and I love this place. My yoga journey started when I took a class in college and fell in love quickly. I've been practicing on and off on my own but decided it was time to take an actual class again. After much researching, I came across The Yoga Harbor and thought their schedules could work. I signed up with their new members package ($40 for unlimited classes for a month) and went twice a week. At my first class, Maggie introduced herself and asked about any injuries and my yoga experience. She was so sweet and I felt welcomed right away. Three months later, I'm still taking Maggie's class along with Brittnay's class every Monday & Thursday. Thank you two beautiful, strong ladies for helping me gain strength, balance, and peace. I've had serious back problems for a long time and after taking a few classes I feel 10x better. The instructors are very knowledgeable and nice. I know absolutely nothing about yoga and didn't go in thinking it would help but I was totally wrong. Sam, Jane and Maggie all have helped me get back to feeling better and are very helpful. I practiced with Bethany for three years at Namaste Highland Park and I am so very excited to see her opening her own studio in Torrance! Bethany is truly an inspiration -- she brings intelligence, patience, strength, and joy to every class she teaches. In addition to being physically challenging, her classes are beautifully paced and I have always left feeling as if I have been told a story about my body, practice, or life in general (which is just another way of saying that Bethany has somehow mastered the art of teaching without even making you aware that you are being taught). I have had a terrific experience! I am new to Yoga and I had to overcome some of my personal barriers and give Yoga a chance. I can't believe how challenging the sessions are! I am a yoga teacher myself and found her classes a perfect mix of flow, balance and meditative breathing... she gave me everything I look for. I found her style of teaching innovative and dynamic. Bethany Eanes, owner of The Yoga Harbor, was the teacher with whom I practiced most often at my former neighborhood yoga studio when I was brand spanking new to yoga. I also asked for her help to develop a personal practice for when I was unable to get to a class so I had the good fortune of working with her one on one as well. Bethany is a great teacher. Her classes are challenging but layered for all levels, she will kick your butt and lift your spirits. Her flows are creative and fun. She watches her students closely and is a master at giving useful alignment cues and adjustments so you can feel safe practicing with her. Seriously, you are in the best possible hands with this lady. She also always takes the time to embed asana practice in the deeper context of yogic philosophy, and it is that focus on mind body and spirit that will keep you coming back to your mat, and to her classes. Plus, she really walks the walk, practicing what she preaches as it were and her anecdotes from her life experiences are relatable and sincere. Even though I no longer live in the LA area, I still apply the advice Bethany gave me in my practice whether I'm alone on my mat or in another teacher's class. I know that I got the best foundation a new student could ask for with her and I will always be grateful for that. Torrance is honestly lucky to have her. read more

I am 63 years old was the reigning queen of couch potato land due to a disability PTSD AND PANIC ATTACK DISORDER. My doctors said I needed to become more active or I would develop major health issues. I found Yoga Harbor because they are close to my home. I'm giving this 4 because I'm new at yoga and have only visited two other studios. I have little to go on. I liked the studio. Quite, clean. The studio was a little smaller but didn't find that an issue knowing the instructor would be more aware and allowing it for more attention given to the students. I was little late getting there but was graciously approached and helped in to settle myself down. Lauren was my yoga instructor and found her to be helpful with modifications. It was a great workout. They have a great deal for newbies. 20$ for 3 classes. Not sure how long that deal will last but it gives you the opportunity to visit a number of classes. I find that helpful. read more
