Therapy is like a nice twist on Urban Outfitters. Though I did not get a chance to really take a look at the clothing, I definitely get a similar feel from the environment. When you first walk in, you can see all the different assortment of random gadgets around the store. Things you normally wouldn't see in most stores. Some examples were mason jar shot glasses, a variety of salt/pepper dispensers, fancy flasks, quirky pens and key chains. Their customer service also super awesome, I almost felt like the staff were like my friends! I met Chris & another associate, I can't quite remember her name. Chris was very helpful in finding out more about the Selenite Candle holders to see if they were heat proof. His co-worker was also super sweet. She went out of the way to just help me find a good gift for my friends. Suggesting some cute socks and other knick nacks they had around the store. It's so easy to get lost in this store since it has so many amazing one of a kind products, so if you're looking for some unique items, this is a great place. read more

Super cute store! I haven't been in Therapy in a long time but was reminded a few weeks ago how fun their items are. I stopped in with my better half and purchased our daughter a hydro flask. They have such a fun selection of easily gift-able items! I don't recall the location in Campbell having too much clothes (it's been years) but this Mountain View location has a lot of comfortable and affordable wear! Staff was also incredibly diligent and helpful when we visited. Will probably pop in to get a few gifts for this coming holiday. read more

The cutest store in Mountain View is Therapy on Castro! It has something for everything! Dog lovers, cat lovers, people who love to cook, green products, civil rights icon gifts, original jewelry and clothing, you name it! It is impossible to come into Therapy Stores and not get a giggle out of something. There are funny socks, clever sayings on mugs, cards that would make anyone's day no matter the celebration and tote bags that you can't wait to carry. There is a wealth of cool hipster knickknacks and paddywhacks here, but unfortunately, you also need to be wealthy to shop here. You want to sell me a homemade locally sourced hemp toe ring for way too much money, fine I get it. We run into problems with the ENORMOUS markup on mass-produced global goods. For example, the standard price in all stores, and online shops, for Toms is $50. I know that, you know that; don't charge $60-$80. This is a theme for a lot of the stuff here... they just took the market value and inflated it, per usual California style. read more

Therapy has been my semi-secret, go-to store for holiday shopping over the last few years. It's not really for big-ticket gifts; more for the funky items and stocking stuffers; a place for those small gifts to fill in the gaps (and try to convince both daughters that I might be cooler than they think I am). They've got a varied & interesting collection of wares here including: quirky socks, hats, jewelry, mugs, kitchen gadgets, glassware, books, cocktail-making equipment, gag gifts, various home decor items, wall art, candles, graphic t-shirts, lotions, cat and dog-themed gifts, gorgeous notebooks, even some clothing (women and men) in back. I wouldn't say any of their offerings fall into the 'critical' category, but they certainly are fun. They have a friendly and helpful staff too. It's not the very best of such stores I've come across, but it has come through in a pinch more than once for me. I'll be back. read more

The store is super cute and the staff is usually pretty friendly. But the inconsistency of their hours is very frustrating. Today is the third time I came to this location only to find them closed during peak business hours. We want your staff to have breaks, just be consistent about it and update your hours! It was small business Saturday following Thanksgiving. We had attempted to finish the majority of leftovers (but hardly made a dent) and decided that fresh air was the next best thing. We drove to Mountain view to check out the local stores and came across Therapy. Two words: PINTEREST ALERT! They basically had all the items that I've pinned on Pinterest but had no idea where you find them. Well...they are here! When you walk into the store, you are greeted with an array of bright and vibrant colors, items with serious personality (funky mugs, shirts, coasters, stationary, etc)...etc. It's one of those stores where you have to frequent more than once because you won't be able to cover everything. This is not the kind of store that you can do a simple walk through. Instead, I recommend taking the time to cover each area because you might stumble upon items that you never knew you wanted. Great customer service! I've been popping in a lot often lately, and the service is always great. I love love their hold policy (3 days, and you can call in to extend). They're always willing to extend an offer to check in the back to find a size, call another store, and have it shipped to the store for your pick up. Another customer and I fell in love with a dress at the same time, and there was only one store that had the size small we wanted. They had another one, but was on hold for a customer. They offered to put it on hold if the customer decided not to take it. Often, stores get busy and suck at follow up with these type of arrangements. The ladies (and maybe men) here are great at follow through! I got a call promptly the day it was due and luckily, I got the dress :) I love their little knick knacks, shoe collections, and clothing variations. Prices, don't love too much. They're not super expensive, but often I feel like If you're a savvy shopper, you can find some of their merchandise elsewhere for a few less dollars. Either way, this shop is on my list whenever I'm around or when I need a quick gift for someone (or myself). read more

One or the larger locations and super friendly staff! I always love taking a spin through Therapy's stores for decorating ideas, cute clothing and jewelery that can still work even if you're older than 20-something. They have lots of room to spread out and browse, versus other Therapy locations which can err on the cramped side. The ladies working the floor were helpful and asked if I needed anything, but weren't pushy or overbearing. Some great sale items were on tap last weekend based on end-of-summer inventory turn over. There were some adorable sun dresses marked down-and let's face it-it's going to be quite toasty at least for several weeks to come. I don't normally go shopping when I'm in downtown mountain view. I just eat, eat and eat some more. However today I came to downtown, to eat of course, and when walking around looking for another place to eat, she wanted to stop here to take a look around. I wasn't planning on getting anything since I don't enjoy Christmas shopping at the stores with crowds but on a Monday afternoon, here at Therapy, I came across a tote bag that I think my mom will love! Every single employee that works here has such a great attitude and is really helpful. There are so many adorable knick knacks, shoes, accessories, and clothes here. Stumbled upon this store as I was strolling down the heart of Mountain View. I must say, I wish I knew about this store before. It carries more than just clothes. There are so many cute jewelry, bags, things for babies, even a PHOTOBOOTH. I spent over an hour here because everything caught my eyes from the candles to little books with funny sayings. Even the water bottles and mugs intrigued me. Definitely allocate a decent amount of time if you come here because everything will catch your eye. Park around the corner because its timed for 2 hours versus in front which is only 1 hour. This place is all about CUSTOMER SERVICE. Every employee that was working greeted me or tried to fit me with something that I would actually like rather than just trying to sell. I really enjoyed the positive and fun vibes. I didn't feel pressured into buying anything either. Although I actually wanted to buy everything. They carry so much variety and it was all color coordinated! Therapy has the best name one can invent for a wonderful boutique where you can find a storm of beautifully designed products to wear, carry, hang, smell, admire, or give to me (for example). Is shopping therapy, the one where you don't need to talk to any doc, but you can start by talking to the mirror and say how wonderful you appear with that whimsy look. Impossible to leave empty handed from this pseudo-mini-Anthropology store. Great selection of well fitting clothes, the ones that make your body look slim and cute, and they carry unusual colors and interesting shoes. Coming back asap! read more

It's very seldom I buy clothes from Boutiques but I found a red coat & a black casual hat to match here. Good selection of fashion clothing. It has about 6 dressing rooms and several unique pieces of furniture including unique & stylish area rugs. I found items I could use as gifts. I had to check out this shop after my friend returned with a bunch of cute stuff. I went in twice, the first time to browse and to resist, strongly resist buying anything. I was about to buy this cute little hat but then that nagging voice in my head (my husband) kept telling me, "You don't need that. Put that hat back." So I reluctantly put the hat down and walked out. The second time I went in, I didn't buy any clothing even though their selection is cute and original and you know that you won't find pieces like that in Macy's. I don't even want to talk about the shoe and purse selection b/c they were screaming my name. They have a cool selection of picture frames, books, magnets that have witty sayings, soaps, chapstick, scarves, man I could go on and on.... What I came out buying were greeting cards. 40% OFF EVERYTHING!!?!?!? (It was only until today) :( I'm super happy that I stopped by here today! I've never ever seen Therapy have a sale... let alone on the ENTIRE store? omg. It was truly heaven! I just wished I came earlier when the sale started because the whole store seemed empty today! I got two cute, medium-size Ugly Dolls for just under $13!! I wanted to buy more stuff, but I seriously have no use for them, especially the giant stuffed steak! haha I was going to get a cute Paul Frank watch, but I just had to resist the urge! For months, I saw the giant monster in the front window display for sale. Coming into therapy is always a treat. I don't write a ton of reviews - just recently started trying to boost a few of my favorite places over the last few months, and therapy definitely deserves one. Pre-covid, whenever I had happy hours or dinners on Castro, I'd wander into therapy before or after, just to see what goodies they might have. I'd always be amused looking at everything they had. They have soooo many cute, trendy gifts! You can find things for babies or for the home, books for travel, cooking, or satirical humor, apparel and accessories for women and men, and the softest cutest stuffed animals... just to name a few.. They always change their selection, so you'll always find something new. To top it off, their staff is ALWAYS so friendly and personable. Just last week, i went to Castro again and was excited to see therapy re-opened. I strolled in and was greeted by the manager on that day- Savannah. She was just full of positive vibes, and it was such a joy to have a conversation with her in the middle of shelter in place. It made me reflect that anytime I bought something from therapy, I always had a genuinely pleasant conversation with each of the staff that rang me up in the past. Needless to say, I always walk out of the store feeling a bit happier. Therapy- such a suiting name for a store where I find so much therapy :) not just retail therapy, but even positive human-to-human interaction therapy. read more

Super hip indie clothes with quirky gift items. Its less cluttered and busy which is great. Apparently there is a Therapy in the city as well. One of the fun places downtown my gal and I love to pop into just to look around. We've found little cactus' for the house, some fun candles, a cool Baphomet bust (on sale) and some other fun things for the house. Clothes seem to be on the more expensive side so my lady usually passes. Customer service can be warm and friendly one day, the next they stare right through you. I love coming to Therapy. Since I found this place it has been my favorite store to visit each time I am around Mountain View. I even bring out of towners to visit the store when they come. The staff is always smiling and helpful without being pushy. This place is absolutely amazing. They're super dog friendly, so you can bring your pup in. The folks who work here are also super inviting and helpful without being overbearing. I love finding great gifts for people here (e.g. a cute DIY music box for a friend who writes their own music, soaps/candles for stressed friends so they can relax prior to taking major exams), and the clothing section is full of options which are totally up my alley. I really do want to call out again that the people who work there are incredibly helpful and so fun to chat with. They are such a joy to be around and make the store so inviting. Visited therapy after a haircut on my way up to the city. My haircut ran a lot longer than expected, so I needed a emergency dress for an event I was attending that I didn't have time to go home and change into. The therapy staff, was so fantastic! Everyone was so helpful in getting me in and out quickly. The clothing selections at this store are very thought out. There were many unique and timeless pieces and I liked their handbag selections! My coworker just loves this place. She got two items here. But she makes more money than I do. And trust me that is a factor here. The average price of this place is $40 per item. There are a lot of cute clothes, just need the money to get them. Even their sale rack is about $30 per item. But if you are going to drop this kind of money anyway at a store, come here to support your local shops. The front of the store has some super cute trinkets. You can find a unique present for a friend there. The front reminds me of things they sell at Urban Outfitters. read more

I wish I could live in this store. I will only be coming here next time I need a gift for anyone in my life. They have a curated selection of items for home decor, kitchen, babies, as well as clothes/shoes for men and women. I've actually never ventured too far back in the store where the clothes are kept because I'm always so intrigued by everything they have up front. I did check out the shoes and was pleased to see they carry Free People and Toms. The kitchen section is especially cool, with a great selection on cookbooks and super cute/practical food storage solutions. The wife and I will often stop in after a meal to browse the various baubles and gewgaws, then I can test out the nice expensive furniture they have for sale and zone out a bit while the wife completes her Therapy session. Sometimes we even buy some magnets or whatever. Sale or no sale, the point is that we leave more relaxed than when we came in. One step into Therapy and I was hooked! It reminded me of a cooler Urban Outfitters. The selection isn't as much as Urban, but the definitely have some interesting knick knacks that I will try to find on Amazon. (call me cheap, I don't mind) Out of everything they had there, I fell in love with these lighted flowers and branches in vases! I HAVE to get those now. Super adorable little boutique in DT Mountain View. The place is amazingly adorable and they sell a whole bunch of little things. Only problem, it's pretty expensive! I'd recommend coming to check it out even, just don't be tempted to buy anything if you're on a budget! You've been warned! I was definitely tempted and I had to force myself to leave the store. I found a lot of kitchen and house items I wanted to get and some cute gift for friends. Actually, the earrings were decent priced at about $10-$13 for a pair. It's definitely really cute and I would have gotten one if my earring holes didn't close up. :( I saw some reviews that said it reminded them of Urban and Anthropolgie, which is a fair assessment of the place, I think. Automatic 5 stars because I found the perfect Druzy earrings that I've been looking for, for a long long time (I'm picky with druzy earrings)! This store is so cute and I could probably wander around for hours just looking at things. I didn't really look at the clothing section (nothing seemed to spark my interest), but the jewelry and random stuff were fun to look at. The staff is friendly and really helpful. The cashier that rang me up helped me with my earrings since I couldn't decide from the four I had chosen.
