The customer service here was disappointing. I ordered at the kiosk, but my card got declined, so I placed the order again. On their end, it showed two orders, but we only got one receipt and did not realize both went through. When I explained this in English and Vietnamese, the employee assumed I was changing my mind about ordering two. She even said to her employee "troi oi" like it was a hassle, when it was an issue with their machine. Her tone was dismissive, and even after confirming my card had declined, she did not apologize, just told me to take one sandwich. The lack of basic courtesy made the interaction feel rude. The sandwich itself was fine, and the price was pretty standard.

Thien Huong Sandwiches and Bakery is located in the plaza close to the original Boiling Crab, Target, Chevron Gas, Pho Papa, etc. The parking is spacious though, during peak hours, I am sure it's harder to find spots, since these other restaurants are very popular. The interior is simple yet modern. It has a casual vibe with Vietnamese house music playing. They have several tables to sit at, as well as, benches and window counter seats to relax at. One unisex restroom only. I got the Special Combination Banh Mi (4/5). The bread was toasty and had a nice crunch but soft and chewy. The pickled veggies were lightly pickled and they used a Persian cucumber so it was slightly sweeter. The cold cuts were ham, headcheese, and a steamed pork slice. The pate was smooth and creamy. Vietnamese Ice Coffee (3.5/5) Support your local business.

I ordered a grilled pork sandwich and a special sandwich, but the bread on both was extremely dry, as if it had been sitting out for days. It really ruined the sandwiches. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

This always hits. Coming back 8 years later the sandwiches are just as good. It does cost more though now these days. Bbq pork with a peach tea $19.

I originally yelped and directions to Duc Huong sandwiches but as I was driving nearby I noticed this banh mi place as it was sitting on a corner in the TARGET shopping center in Evergreen area in SJ. No rush at all place is modern clean and not that large. They have a touch screen but it wasn't working don't know why . I usually get a grilled pork banh mi and it was pretty good. The bread wasn't too hard like LEES sandwiches . The crumbs didn't make a mess either . I ordered Vietnamese iced coffeee and it was amazing and strong . The prices were reasonable and service was great. Superb location and plenty of free parking . Good find for me. Ingredient s were all fresh also. 5/5

Very disappointed with the cà phê sữa here. Look at how dark and thick it is plus the coffee cup was poorly packaged. It tasted overwhelmingly bitter, and I could barely taste any condensed milk at all. It honestly felt more like extremely strong black coffee than Vietnamese milk coffee. For $8.50 through Doordash I expected much better quality and balance. I normally understand not expecting specialty coffee from a sandwich place, but this location specifically promotes TRUNG NGUYEN LEGEND COFFEE on their drink menu, so I think customers have every reason to expect an authentic and enjoyable Vietnamese coffee experience. Unfortunately, this drink was a complete letdown and not worth the price. I would not recommend spending money on the drinks here.

Date: Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 Meal: Lunch Delivery Party of: 2 Ordered via: DoorDash Time Ordered: around 2pm Time Delivered: about 30 mins later Delivered to: Evergreen 1. House Special Grilled Pork Baguette / Banh Mi Thit Nuong ($9.50) - CAT DOI/ CUT IN HALF 2. House Special Roti Chicken Baguette / Banh Mi Ga Roti ($10) - CAT DOI/ CUT IN HALF, THEM RAU/XTRA VEGGIES, +PATE 5. Roasted Pork Belly Baguette / Banh Mi Ba Chi ($9.50) - CAT DOI/ CUT IN HALF, THEM RAU/XTRA VEGGIES I got the chicken and the hubby got the other two sandwiches. I thought they were fine. I do wish there was more pate, but otherwise, there was a good amount of veggies. Tho with extra veggies, I did expect a little more. The bread was toothsome, so it does have a good chew. I like chewy bread, so this was up my alley. For the hubs, it hurt the roof of his mouth. So delicate! Lol. I think a solid spot for a banh mi. REVIEW #3784

The good: The interior is modern, sleek and offers indoor seating unlike many banh mi thit places. It's bright and has neutral colors. I self ordered through a kiosk. They sell both regular and smaller sandwiches. I got a regular Vietnamese chicken sandwich. The contents were great and I loved the flavor and texture of the shredded chicken. I loved how much (a lot) cilantro they gave. The bad: The bread seemed slightly undercooked. I would've liked it more toasty and lighter. There's no outdoor seating. The interesting: They share the same space and ordering kiosk as Trung Nguyên Legend coffee.

Came here for a girls gathering with MySundaeClub and got to try their banh mi sandwich and coffee! I got the grilled chicken #2 and an iced latte. It didn't take too long especially since we had alot of orders. I loved the long length of the sandwich and it was stuffed with both meat and fresh veggies (like cucumber, cilantro, picked veggies). The bread was a soft baguette. The latte was unsweetened and smooth. Def recommend to check out!

Good fillings on the banh mi here but the bread could be better. The bread is on the firmer side. Doesn't have the good crisp and fluffiness. Ordered on the kiosk and picked up shortly after. I got the combination, meatball, and pork sausage. Decent amount of pate and butter in the bread. Good cold cuts. The meatball had ok flavor. They share restaurant with trung Nguyen legends coffee. Few amount of seatings inside for a coffee/sandwich spotLots of parking but does get busy in the plaza.

    Bánh mì thịt nướng

Food was okay Bánh mì chã cá is short of protein and very little butter ...half filled Bánh mì thịt nướng is on point Call ahead so minimal service Early morning so place is quiet and clean Quiet ambiance

They serve Trung Nguyen Nguyen coffee here! 1. Coffee w/ coconut cream & 2. Almond coffee , highly recommend.

I wasn't happy about having to make 3 separate transactions for ALL MY ORDERS, they were separated and done in different transactions. A bit of an inconvenience...not the workers fault, so I hope the business owner fixes this. Sandwich is good, I would recommend getting veggies on the side because it made the bread soggy by the time I was able to eat it 4 hours later for lunch break. I like that they serve Trung Nguyen Legend coffees here, have been wanting to try it, I ordered the coffee with coconut cream ($9.50+tax), the price would throw off a lot of people and tbh, I was taken back as well because it's a regular (Starbucks grande cup size) size cup. Probably wouldn't spend this much on coffee again unless someone ask me if I want TNL coffees. Quiet location, good for study or gathering if this is your kind of vibe.

Great job remodeling this place! I love that there are many seats now, so you can enjoy your meal here. Every time we come here I order #1. Bbq Pork Banh Mi. Sweet and tender meat with veggies. It feels healthier than a burger from McDonald's or In N Out, but they probably both have an insane amount of calories. At least with the banh mi, it's high in protein. Plus, I read somewhere that it provides potassium, iron, and other nutrients to support overall health being. Cheers to that! I also like to get Vietnamese Egg Coffee from Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee. I guess I should write a review separately, but it's in the same building as Thien Huong. It's FRUSTRATING when they ask me to pay for the sandwich and drink separately. Why can't they ring up both items at the same time??? They're using the same cash register! Can't they divide it later when they add up all their money? It's kind of a turn-off when you're buying lunch for someone and then you have to pay for the drink. I'd be like, "Pay for your drink, dude. I don't want to have to swipe my card again." Whatever, I guess the Bahn Mi and the drinks are worth it to deal with it. The food is good, but the service has been lacking a few times. Like today, we waited so long for our Bahn Mi. There were a lot of people waiting in the lobby area. After about 20 minutes, my man finally got up and checked. He noticed it was just sitting on the counter. Geez! We wondered how long it was sitting there. They knew we were sitting in the dining area... or did they? I'm glad we got our drink right away!

Broth was not so warm but has such clear clean taste. Can taste the aromatics more than the fish sauce in the broth; had a lot of celery like flavor. There were a couple of ribs in the broth with tender meat attached to it. I got the Nam Vang with egg noodles instead of rice noodles. The seasoning for the noodles had a slightly sweet sauce. Noodles itself was perfectly cooked, slight chew to it and not soggy. The dish had the sweet, salty, savory combo The egg rolls were on the smaller side but tightly packed with delicious ground pork. Crispy outside. Came with the slightly spicy sweet fish sauce with chili. The banh beo chen came in one small plate instead of little dipping sauce plates. It had minced shrimp (more like crumbles), friend pork rinds pieces, and green onions. I like that they used shrimp instead of mung bean paste. The steamed tapioca/rice cake base was also topped with fried pork rinds and fried shallots (tasted like smoky onipn rings). The combination of all the texture and taste was well balanced. Sweet, salty, umami.

I loved being able to easily dunk everything into the sauce. Even the small portion was enough for 2 people. The Banh Mi Chao Bo Luc Lac was just okay. I liked that the pate was warmed up with the rest of the dish, and the beef cubes were well seasoned, but they could have been more tender. We also got the fried chicken wings in garlic fish sauce. The flavor on the outside was great, but the breading was a bit dense and the inside needed more flavor. The service was great and they checked on us several times. There is also lots of blue monkey decor throughout to live up to the name.

Unfortunately, the service was not very welcoming--the staff came across as blunt, impatient, and at times rude--but I could have overlooked that if the food had fully lived up to the hype. The broth made a good first impression and clearly included many of the right spices, although it was also quite salty. As I got further into the bowl, however, the flavor started to feel flat and lacked the rich, slow-simmered depth I expect from a restaurant that specializes in this dish. It tasted more heavily seasoned than deeply developed, so experienced bún bò Huế fans may find it underwhelming. The meat was also not as tender as I would have liked, and the congealed blood--usually my favorite part--was overcooked and dry rather than smooth and tender. The visible holes suggested it may have been cooked too quickly at too high a temperature. Overall, the meal was decent and had some good flavors, but the broth, meat, and service did not meet my expectations. I can understand why it is popular, but I would probably try another bún bò Huế spot next time.
