This always hits. Coming back 8 years later the sandwiches are just as good. It does cost more though now these days. Bbq pork with a peach tea $19.

Half of no. 1 grilled pork Banh Mi, they ask if you want it cut in half

I originally yelped and directions to Duc Huong sandwiches but as I was driving nearby I noticed this banh mi place as it was sitting on a corner in the TARGET shopping center in Evergreen area in SJ. No rush at all place is modern clean and not that large. They have a touch screen but it wasn't working don't know why . I usually get a grilled pork banh mi and it was pretty good. The bread wasn't too hard like LEES sandwiches . The crumbs didn't make a mess either . I ordered Vietnamese iced coffeee and it was amazing and strong . The prices were reasonable and service was great. Superb location and plenty of free parking . Good find for me. Ingredient s were all fresh also. 5/5

Date: Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 Meal: Lunch Delivery Party of: 2 Ordered via: DoorDash Time Ordered: around 2pm Time Delivered: about 30 mins later Delivered to: Evergreen 1. House Special Roti Chicken Baguette / Banh Mi Ga Roti ($10) - CAT DOI/ CUT IN HALF, THEM RAU/XTRA VEGGIES, +PATE 5. Roasted Pork Belly Baguette / Banh Mi Ba Chi ($9.50) - CAT DOI/ CUT IN HALF, THEM RAU/XTRA VEGGIES I got the chicken and the hubby got the other two sandwiches. I thought they were fine. I do wish there was more pate, but otherwise, there was a good amount of veggies. Tho with extra veggies, I did expect a little more. The bread was toothsome, so it does have a good chew. I like chewy bread, so this was up my alley. For the hubs, it hurt the roof of his mouth. So delicate! Lol. I think a solid spot for a banh mi. REVIEW #3784

The good: The interior is modern, sleek and offers indoor seating unlike many banh mi thit places. It's bright and has neutral colors. I self ordered through a kiosk. They sell both regular and smaller sandwiches. I got a regular Vietnamese chicken sandwich. The contents were great and I loved the flavor and texture of the shredded chicken. I loved how much (a lot) cilantro they gave. The bad: The bread seemed slightly undercooked. I would've liked it more toasty and lighter. There's no outdoor seating. The interesting: They share the same space and ordering kiosk as Trung Nguyên Legend coffee.

Came here for a girls gathering with MySundaeClub and got to try their banh mi sandwich and coffee! I got the grilled chicken #2 and an iced latte. It didn't take too long especially since we had alot of orders. I loved the long length of the sandwich and it was stuffed with both meat and fresh veggies (like cucumber, cilantro, picked veggies). The bread was a soft baguette. The latte was unsweetened and smooth. Def recommend to check out!

Good fillings on the banh mi here but the bread could be better. The bread is on the firmer side. Doesn't have the good crisp and fluffiness. Ordered on the kiosk and picked up shortly after. I got the combination, meatball, and pork sausage. Decent amount of pate and butter in the bread. Good cold cuts. The meatball had ok flavor. They share restaurant with trung Nguyen legends coffee. Few amount of seatings inside for a coffee/sandwich spotLots of parking but does get busy in the plaza.

    Bánh mì thịt nướng

Food was okay Bánh mì chã cá is short of protein and very little butter ...half filled Bánh mì thịt nướng is on point Call ahead so minimal service Early morning so place is quiet and clean Quiet ambiance

They serve Trung Nguyen Nguyen coffee here! 1. Coffee w/ coconut cream & 2. Almond coffee , highly recommend.

I wasn't happy about having to make 3 separate transactions for ALL MY ORDERS, they were separated and done in different transactions. A bit of an inconvenience...not the workers fault, so I hope the business owner fixes this. Sandwich is good, I would recommend getting veggies on the side because it made the bread soggy by the time I was able to eat it 4 hours later for lunch break. I like that they serve Trung Nguyen Legend coffees here, have been wanting to try it, I ordered the coffee with coconut cream ($9.50+tax), the price would throw off a lot of people and tbh, I was taken back as well because it's a regular (Starbucks grande cup size) size cup. Probably wouldn't spend this much on coffee again unless someone ask me if I want TNL coffees. Quiet location, good for study or gathering if this is your kind of vibe.

Vegetarian banh mi with meat in it

If you are vegetarian/vegan/plant-based STAY AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I've been vegetarian for my entire life and I have never had meat. I ordered the vegetarian sandwich from this place and it had pork mixed into it!? First of all the texture of the banh mi was weird, too squishy from the mushrooms and wasn't a good tasting experience. To make matters worse, there was literal meat in the sandwich. So ridiculous do NOT come here if you are a strict vegetarian. Run. The workers didn't even give a proper apology or anything wow I cannot wrap my head around this

We were in the neighborhood and wanted a banh mi and some strong coffee. The vietnamese coffee with sea salt cream is delicious and strong. It keep me up all say. My husband like his Thai Ice Tea. We also got pork banh mi and roti chicken. We as a family personally like the pork better than the roti chicken. The roti chicken just need flavor for us. The place is nice. They have a place where you can order yourself or go the the counter to order your food and drink. They were busy so I can understand getting our food was a bit slow. But otherwise it was fine.

Great job remodeling this place! I love that there are many seats now, so you can enjoy your meal here. Every time we come here I order #1. Bbq Pork Banh Mi. Sweet and tender meat with veggies. It feels healthier than a burger from McDonald's or In N Out, but they probably both have an insane amount of calories. At least with the banh mi, it's high in protein. Plus, I read somewhere that it provides potassium, iron, and other nutrients to support overall health being. Cheers to that! I also like to get Vietnamese Egg Coffee from Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee. I guess I should write a review separately, but it's in the same building as Thien Huong. It's FRUSTRATING when they ask me to pay for the sandwich and drink separately. Why can't they ring up both items at the same time??? They're using the same cash register! Can't they divide it later when they add up all their money? It's kind of a turn-off when you're buying lunch for someone and then you have to pay for the drink. I'd be like, "Pay for your drink, dude. I don't want to have to swipe my card again." Whatever, I guess the Bahn Mi and the drinks are worth it to deal with it. The food is good, but the service has been lacking a few times. Like today, we waited so long for our Bahn Mi. There were a lot of people waiting in the lobby area. After about 20 minutes, my man finally got up and checked. He noticed it was just sitting on the counter. Geez! We wondered how long it was sitting there. They knew we were sitting in the dining area... or did they? I'm glad we got our drink right away!

Thien Huong Sandwiches & Trung Nguyen Legend is a shared space and owned by the same owner. This combination makes it easy and convenient for you to get both food and coffee! There's nothing quite like an authentic Vietnamese sandwich paired with your favorite coffee or tea. From the crispy, fresh-baked baguette to your choice of flavorful fillings -- grilled pork, pork chop, vegetarian, and more -- every layer is packed with texture and taste. Crunchy pickled veggies and fresh herbs bring it all together to create the perfect bite every time. Growing up, Banh Mi was one of the staples in my family's food rotation. It was our go-to meal, especially on road trips ---- before we hit the road, we had to make a stop at our local Vietnamese sandwich shop. My personal favorite has always been Banh Mi Thit Nuong (grilled pork), but lately I've been mixing it up with the vegetarian option too -- both are equally satisfying. Trung Nguyen Legend started from the instant coffee packets you can find at the Vietnamese supermarket. My mom would be packets of the instant coffee on her market runs. When the coffee shop opened up, I was excited to try it! The vietnamese iced coffee are strong and bold (as it should be), paired along with a sweet and salty topping like egg foam and sea salt cream. A drink that I was unsure of what to expect is the Pandan Lotus Tea. This was surprisingly so good and refreshing! Whether you're reliving a childhood comfort or have kept it a staple in your meals, this spot brings all the nostalgic flavors with authentic, fresh ingredients. A must-try! Stopped by to get some bánh mì for the road back to OC. We thought OC prices were going expensive but nope, SJ beats us for sure. Nice clean, small store that share with the coffee shop and they have the special deal coffee & bánh mì for $13. We got that with BA CHỈ Roasted Pork Belly & VNese hot milk café or cà phê sữa nóng. The sandwich is thick filled with a lot of veggies, just couple slices of meat. The bread is good when it hot but if you leave it within 10mins with cold weather it just hard and chewy (just needs to reheat if you are at home or have oven to heat it up for coupe mins). Well combined and tasty, just wish they would added a little bit more of pâté since it was little. Service was good - you do self order but unfortunately, their machine is not working and the couple infront of us had hard time for 5-7mins before realized that it didn't work. The staff behind the counter came over and helped since the line if 3 became 6 and the entrance door opens with cold cold air. Service is nice and friendly, the turnaround took around 7-10mins since I only see 2 fronts staffs and 1 or 2 in back. The place had small seating area in the corner looking through the Main Street or the other side w/ the coffee shop overlooking the parking. Overall, it was okey bánh mì and good service in a cute store.

I highly recommend order online in advance as the wait can be about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving, the inside was packed with people waiting for their orders. I ordered the 6 eggrolls and asked for 3 regular eggrolls and 3 netted eggrolls so that I could try both. The eggrolls come with veggies (lettuce, mint, and cilantro). It also came with pickled veggies and fish sauce. I also ordered 4 of their nem nuong as not every Vietnamese spot offers this type of spring roll. These have grilled pork in them rather than pork and shrimp. It comes with its own sauce which I'm not sure what its made of. The nem nuong were delicious with the grilled pork and there is a crispy component inside, too. They taste fresh and the sauce is tangy. I like the addition of the small chili sauce they give you on the side. The real show stoppers have to be the eggrolls though. They are perfectly crispy and filled with delicious pork filling. The veggies they provide are really fresh and the pickled veggies helps to add more depth. The eggrolls themselves don't feel too heavy or oily either which I really appreciated. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly when I was picking up. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot and can imagine how their party trays must be a big hit!

Yes, the fish sauce smell lingers on your hands, but it's completely worth it because the flavors are incredible. There's plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall, which made it easy and convenient to visit. If you love crispy-style egg rolls, I highly recommend this spot. If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of their dishes at once, and I 100% recommend that anyone give this place a shot.

We ordered a large bun Bo hue, a large pho luc lac, fried rice with ribeye cooked medium level (as recommended), Bo luc lac with tomato flavored rice, and a chicken pho ap chao to share amongst 3 adults and 4 kids. Everything we ordered was delicious, tasty, and the portion size were very good and perfect for sharing. I was pleasantly surprised with the pho ap chao, it was really tasty and crispy and a dish I have not tried before. We really enjoyed everything but the Bo luc lac (shaken beef) was super tender and the beef was flavorful! This is a must try in my opinion! This restaurant is clean and tidy and has cute decors of bamboo hats hung from the ceiling and remind me of being back in Vietnam again. Staffs were attentive as customers entered. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza. I will definitely come back here for everything I tried during my visit and to try more when in the area or on the way back from Santa Cruz. This will also be a great place to grab Togo for picnics or for hiking as well! My kids are already asking to come back to the restaurant after our first time there. So glad to know of another Vietnamese restaurant that has so many yummy dishes in SJ!
