I've been using Things remembered for 30 years plus its always been a great but I picked up a order a few hours ago and you let me down really let me down, I took 6 Zippo lighters to be engraved five for my employees and one very special one for myself the five for my employees were perfect the one I got as a tribute for my grandson I lost in June this one was special I was really looking forward to seeing this one, I made it 100% clear what I wanted the girl who helped me said she was doing the job herself and it would be done right, so I'm completely disappointed it was ruined, I wasn't offered a refund for the service but most of just really disappointed because I made it clear............ I went to pick up a glass that they were putting up an image and it was not what I asked for and they no longer had the same glasses, they spoiled it and the manager said if you want it that way or I will return your money but it is not what I want, she is very rude In this store they have made me the wrong engraving and they do not apologize they say this is what there is if you want it, they do not know how to deal with the client. read more

This is the most slowest Things Remembered branch ever and trust me I've always came to Things Remembered to engrave things. The customer service was lacking. They told us it would be done in an hour but we waited for 3 hours to get it done. I can tell the staff members were not on the same page with people's orders. We only came to this location because the Things Remembered in Arcadia Mall didn't have the items we needed as gifts. The staff tried to tell us to come back tomorrow morning and they'll have it ready by then but we told them we drove 2 hours all the way here just for these items. And they ended up doing it right before they were closing. The worse part is that they had a typo on one of the engraved items. I'm not coming back to this location. read more

Words cannot convey how beyond happy/pleased/satisfied I am with this Things Remembered. It's everything about this store, from the quality to the service, and to just how efficiently this store is run. A huge and heartfelt "thank you" to Kristan, the store manager, and Cindy, who despite how busy it was, were able to help me remedy a horrible situation. I had originally placed an online order at the Cerritos store, and called to confirm my pickup time. I got the "busy tone" for a solid half hour before I was able to get through to an actual person. Turns out that by 1pm, they hadn't begun a single order for the day, nor had they even checked to see if the items were "available on the floor". I somehow convince the sales associate to check for my item, and after a few minutes, she nonchalantly informs me that the item isn't available at all. The only reason I'm not leaving them a poor review is because she transferred my order to the Downey store, where they made magic happen. I'm so grateful for the service and attention I received thereafter, and cannot recommend this store enough. I'll definitely be returning when the opportunity presents itself. I went to Things Remembered in Downey to pick up an order and they had made an honest mistake on the engraving. Kristian the manager was very helpful and polite. I went to Things Remembered Friday night two hours before they closed. I needed a personalized charm bracelet. The girls were very helpful and friendly. I called ahead of time to make sure that they would be able to have the item before 9pm and sure enough my item was ready at 845 The girls are very thoughtful and make suggestions to help you out! read more

While I can agree with some people that some of the items are a little overpriced, I was very careful with my latest August (2012) purchase to make sure that this was a quality product and something that could last many years. My husband had wanted a pocket watch for the longest time. For our 6th wedding anniversary I wanted to do something different for him especially since he had just accepted a new job. I picked out a black face skeleton watch in which I had his initials engraved on the outside and a special Latin message on the inside. When I first received the finished product, I glanced too quickly to realize that the Latin message was misspelled. As soon as I got home I noticed this, called the shop, and a nice gentleman said he would happily redo it if I brought it in to exchange. This was at no extra charge. This pocket watch also came with a nice box which I also had something engraved on the cover plate. The total cost was around $100. This location rocks! It is so neat and clean, they have personalized displays so you can see what the engraving looks like. The manager Kristan is so friendly and always has great suggestions for last minute gifts. The guy who works there, believe his name is Steve, has such a great eye for design, his engravings always come out looking awesome. The whole staff is great, always such positive vibes in there. I usually go in person, but this last time I ordered my purchase online and then just came in to the store to pick it up! It was all ready to go and I didn't have to wait at the mall. Location changed the font of my puppy's St Francis dog tag without my consultation! When asked why this was done without my consultation I was told that for the customers convenience they did there engraving afters stores hours. I don't see this as a conceive at all! It is an inconvenience that I must now reorder the dog tag, wait for the shipment to arrive, and find time to take it back in, wait for my refund and for the dog tag to be ready for pick up. I will never go back to this location after I get my refund and new dog tag!! read more

I visited the store last week Monday evening and Fernando was the only employee working. He was very attentive and courteous. He was patient and allowed me to try on multiple items so I could find the perfect birthday gift for my sister. As I was shopping 4-5 other customers came into the store as well. Some were shopping and some were picking up items they had engraved. He handled all of us very well and provided excellent customer service. Really great customer service! I made a mistake on my order and didn't want the employees to engrave the flawed information, so I reached out to the customer service line. The woman was not only very helpful, but she did it promptly. It took a while for her to actually answer the phone though because there were a lot of customers on the line. The actual staff at the store did a wonderful job too. I got a water globe for my parents' 30th wedding anniversary for ONLY $10 (marked down from $50), and engraving cost an extra $18. It's silly to me when you think about how the actual water globe costs half as much as the engraving, but I will not complain when I have such a beautiful and personalized anniversary gift for my parents at a mere $30. read more

I do agree with both of the reviewers below me, it is over priced, but it always seems to have what is needed for that really cool sentimental gift. During Christmas, when everyone else is perusing the aisles of trendy clothing stores, looking at the fancy cell phones at the one radio shack, or hunting down a deal at sears, this place has not only that one binder, cup holder, steel frame, but it has a personalized message of your choice that could be written on it. That is kind of over looked by a lot of people, I can imagine why the girls are lazy, not that many people there. It usually takes a solid hour for the engraving process to complete. A good place to go before you head off to any of the other **cough Clothing stores I mean retail stores at the mall. read more

Worst costumer service. People do not know what are they doing. They charge you a lot, and when it's there mistake , they will not fix it. Check your stuff just to make sure. It is just waste of money & time. They miss spell birthday, engrave on wrong side of frame. read more
