We have visited this location multiple times along with their sister restaurant Summit Grill and Bar. They recently changed their menu here and now I would consider it just okay. My preference would still be Summit Grill and Bar for atmosphere and food. We prefer to sit in the bar area and the drinks are kind of hit and miss. Some bartenders can make a drink out of this world while others don't have the same skill set...training would be a huge benefit. Loved the new brussel sprouts appetizer! read more

Really loving this spot, especially for BRUNCH! Went for the second week in a row and I'm sure I'll be back soon. I will say up front hat brunch service can be a slower pace, so might not be the best if you need a quick meal. However, if you are with some people you like to spend time with over a great meal, you will not be let down! They also take reservations which I love taking advantage of. The biggest highlight is the bottomless mimosas service until 2:30pm. It's ten dollars, and the servers have done a good job at keeping us topped off both times I've been for brunch. As for the food, I got the Croque Madame (and subbed egg whites), which was phenomenal! The ham is the perfect thickness and their fontina cheese sauce is to die for. Served normally with some of their delicious fried potatoes, on my second visit I opted to try out their cheesy potato bake. Both of those potato options are amazing! The other parties with me tried the chicken biscuit which is a favorite among regulars & staff and the classic breakfast. The classic breakfast actually comes with bacon, sausage AND ham which we were all surprised by. Other than the brunch, I can also speak to the fact that their bar has very great variety and options for specialty cocktails along with plenty of lounge space. All in all, Third Street Social is definitely a must-try when it comes to Lee's Summit dining! read more

One of my favorite places, hands down! Food is absolutely delicious as are the cocktails! Service is always impeccable and the vibes/space is very cool---upscale industrial. Love this place! We have been twice - once for a quick lunch where we sat at the bar and another time for dinner on a Friday. Thankfully, we made a reservation and were ushered past the groups of people waiting for tables. We had a great dinner in a really busy place, but even with all the customers, our waitress was attentive, our food was served in perfect time, and our drinks were always full. I had the seasonal cranberry martini which was delicious! For my meal I ordered the Korean Steak Salad which had luscious cuts of marinated beef, Korean noodles, edamame and salad greens tossed in a light but flavorful sesame dressing. My dining partners had the crab mac and cheese (omg to die for) and the chicken and spinach lasagna. Needless to say, we all had a big box of leftovers to take home and enjoy the next day. If you're looking for a hip, reasonably priced dinner venue where you will be able to choose from and enjoy an eclectic menu of offerings, I highly recommend Third Street Social! read more

Great dinner at Third Street Social on 7/17/2019. Food was excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed. Had a reservation for 10. Did get seated 30 minutes after our reservation. Mostly due to the previous customers sitting around playing on their phones long after finishing their meal and drinks. Staff offered complimentary Brussel Sprout/Cauliflower app for the wait. It was delicious and all of my children ate plenty of it. Everyone one of us enjoyed our entrees just as much. We had wings, Fried Chicken, Korean bbq salad, pot pie, all were excellent. read more

Previous Review: I'll give this place another chance because it seems like it has potential. I went on opening night and things didn't go smoothly for us and it looked a bit unorganized for the restaurant workers. I had the salmon salad which was pretty good for a fancy salad but not amazing. Lots of veggies in it, but the weird/bread toast that comes on the side should be spared. It didn't taste good. Also tried the burger and it was pretty basic, didn't come on the bun it was supposed to from the menu. Nothing to go back for honestly. They ran out of plates so one of my friends was served on a cutting board. Oh, I also had beer spilt all over me by a waitress. Left soaking wet...cheers! Updated Review: I came in again last night to give this place a second try after my first disaster of a dinner on opening night and had yet another terrible experience. I'm done. Staff is rude, food is less than mediocre. This place is overrated -- there are way better places to eat and drink in Lee's Summit. Please save your time and money at one of the other dozens of places within 15 feet of this restaurant. read more

I've never actually had dinner at Third Street Social but I love this place! I have been here for Happy Hour and apps probably 5 times. It is always busy with a great atmosphere. The décor has a real downtown feel to it. The menu is always evolving with trendy, well-thought out dishes, and they have a diverse drink menu. I don't like to judge restaurants by their service, but it has always been excellent, which you don't always get in the happy hour section. We decided to try something new for our anniversary dinner, so after spending some time on Yelp, we headed to Lee's Summit. Walked in the bar entrance and made our way to the hostess station. We had made reservations just in case, but that wasn't needed. We were seated right away. Our server was a little distanced at first, but warmed up. Since it was our anniversary, I ordered the Third Street punch. It was a very light and refreshing drink which was perfect for the nasty hot weather. We also ordered the meatballs as an appetizer with the intent to take one home for lunch during the week. The meatballs were tasty and the sherry mushroom cream sauce was outstanding. My husband ordered the slow roasted prime rib sandwich and fell in love. He happily brought half home for lunch the next day. (Although he said, warmed up as a left over it was a little salty). I ordered the chicken spinach lasagna. Very cheesy and tasty. I had enough for leftovers today also since we ordered a side salad to share of which the server kindly divided to two plates. As tempting as it was, we did not order dessert even to take home. With the heat we knew it wouldn't do well with a 40 minute drive home. We love the sister restaurant, Summit Grill, and Third Street Social did not disappoint. We will happily come back. read more

I'll start by saying that in terms of good dining, I'm hard pressed to leave KC and go to any of the small surrounding towns. However, I was coaxed out of my house in the city to make a trip over to Lee's Summit for dinner at Third Street Social. The decor is really cute. I loved the lighting and the hardwood floors. This made for a really great ambiance....for a very sub-par meal. I ordered a blood orange margarita, and was served something that looked and tasted like a hard lemonade and had a pale yellow (orange? lemon?) slice in it. CLEARLY not a blood orange, and the flavor wasn't blood orange either. I waved the waitress back over and asked if my order was correct and she just said "yep!" even though it was obviously the wrong drink. I didn't think their entrees looked very appealing (everything was very meat heavy), so I ordered the heirloom tomato salad and the Korean tacos from the appetizer section as my meal. The heirloom tomato salad was advertised as "tomato, basil and mozzarella". What arrived (as you can see in my pictures) was a heap of lettuce, zero basil, about four small smidges of almost non-existent mozzarella and about half of an heirloom tomato. So.....apparently what their menu says is in a dish is significantly different than what is actually served/in the dish. This salad was again....not what I freaking ordered. The salad was extremely mediocre and basically tasted like a basic green salad with a bit of tomato. The Korean tacos were room temperature, the tortillas were hard, and the meat inside of them was black and burnt and crispy. I was able to choke down one, but had to leave the other two on my plate. This was a disappointment, because the daikon radish on top was really fresh and I would have loved to eat these as they are supposed to be served. When the waitress came by (a rare event, as she pretty much pulled a disappearing act on us and we had to ask for everything-even water), instead of asking if everything was ok, she asked if I wanted a box. Uhhh....no. No thank you. I was still starving after dinner and apparently, a glutton for punishment, so I agreed to see the dessert tray. I picked the "warm brownie wrapped in phyllo dough", since I order a similar dessert at Grand Street in KC and it's one of my favorite desserts of all time. When this arrived, it was cold, and the brownie inside was not warm and gooey at all. It was so dense it was hard to cut through, and I ended up leaving most of it on my plate. Couple this with some awkward seating as I was at the point of a large green seating area, with a strange man sitting next to me who kept rubbing his hip against me (no fault of his own, the seating was super close and awkward), and the fact that I accidentally elbowed him twice while trying to refill my water with the jug on the table due to the weird angles, and well folks, we have anything but a winner here. Terrible food and less than average service in a cute restaurant. Would I try it again? Not a chance. Do yourself a favor, and stick to KC for a nice evening out. read more

Carson was a wonderful bartender - friendly and knowledgeable! Happy hour is every day from 3 - 6 which is great! We tried the Crispy Fried Brussels & Cauliflower, Korean Steak Taco, a Slider and the Smoked & Charred Buffalo Wings. We enjoyed all of our choices and would definitely order the taco, veggies and wings again. We both enjoyed the atmosphere and vibe of the place plus they had a good selection of beers and bourbons! WORST DINNER EXPERIENCE I've had in Lee's Summit. I live out-of-state and had enjoyed a nice dinner with friends at Third Street Social when I lived in town. I went out expecting a nice dinner with friends. It was the worst I've had in quite some time. Our server literally had three tables and couldn't even refresh our waters, ask for a new cocktail, or clear our plates. She literally took our order and abandoned her table. I felt very underserved. I asked for a manager and received Lauren. She was rude and abrasive and had major attitude. She would never be hired in my restaurants back home. The food was great. The service was horrible. Restaurants are evaluated on food, service and presentation. Third Street Social's food and presentation is great. The service that I had was severely poor. I was disappointed. Sat down earlier and it took 15 minutes before our server greeted is and asked for drinks. Service is horrible. The server does not ask us if we need more drinks.
