She had stiffed me $5.00. So my beer ended up costing me $16.50 between the bank, the ATM, the beer, the tip, and the $5.00 she stiffed me. I left.

Once it was our turn, one of my friends made a lighthearted joke just to lighten the mood, that's simply his personality. The hostess immediately responded with a very dry attitude, which we brushed off at first. However, things only got worse from there. As we stood there waiting, multiple groups who arrived after us were suddenly being attended to first. She was checking their IDs, writing their names down on the iPad, and letting them in before us, even though we had clearly been waiting longer. We eventually approached her and asked why our IDs hadn't been checked or our names added yet. She responded by saying she had told us to wait in line, which never happened. None of us were ever directed to a line. From that point on, her tone became increasingly condescending and disrespectful. When I told her that she should speak to customers more respectfully, she mockingly grabbed her ear and said, "What? I can't hear you, it's loud in here," even though it was not loud at all. It felt extremely immature and unnecessary. She also made comments about being the "senior hostess," but honestly, that title means nothing if customers are being treated poorly. Everyone has bad days, but that does not justify taking it out on guests. My friends and I are not the type to complain or leave reviews, but the attitude and behavior we experienced were genuinely inappropriate and unprofessional. We ended up leaving without even going inside. Unfortunately we did not get her name. But she is a white female with blonde hair and glasses, wearing a pink and white Renaissance style outfit and distinctive floral inspired eyeliner makeup that went all the way to her hairline. I've tried both the pod and party room setups and each were perfect for the amount of people I went with. Whether you're with a group of adults or kids, this place provides a really memorable experience. They did offer military and teacher discounts the last time I visited which was new to me but offered a little savings which was appreciated. Would highly recommend Kubo. Beers and seltzers were available, as well as some easy snacks. I'll be returning again, I'm sure! Hoping they continue gift cards because they make great gifts!

We had such an amazing time that we came back again just a couple weeks later to host a separate employee party. That alone says everything. For a lot of us, it was our first time doing karaoke and we had an absolute blast. Super cool that it is local to Redlands too.
