To caveat this review, we live near great boba spots in SF, so are a bit spoiled. We stopped here on our way back to San Francisco, and were disappointed by both our drinks. I tried the roasted oolong with boba and my wife tried the black tea with grass jelly. The drinks tasted watery, lacking in tea flavor. The boba was also bland. I am from San Francisco and my family and I went on a weekend getaway to Graton Resort and Casino. In SF, there is Boba shops literally everywhere, and just this weekend getaway alone, we already craved boba, therefore, came across this place to head over to a boba shop and satisfy those cravings. The owners of this place have business ethics issues. I have been to this establishment a handful of times. The staff generally can't make a consistent boba tea. More than one occasion my child has complained about their boba being dry / old, while mine was normal This place literally puts old boba in children's boba tea, thinking the kids won't notice or complain. We get the same drink but it comes out different. Nasty The owners drive a Maserati and I see them park in the handicapped zone to drop off their child at school, no placards or plates. Lack of respect for others in their community. Everyone else parks in a normal parking spot. I've seen them do this around their storefront as well. My son loves Boba, so we are always on the lookout for a Boba place. Came here for his birthday. He ordered almond milk tea with grass jelly. I had the black tea with Boba Boba was fresh and soft, my son lobed the grass jelly. My only wish would be that they used real milk, ( they use none dairy). I live in Hawaii, where we have a ton of boba and milk tea places, but Rohnert Park for the longest time only had TeaRex. Oh boy do they have have some competition now that the bar has been raised with ThirsTea! I'm not one for the bland or run of the mill flavors that I think appeal to the culturally unfamiliar, or to kids. I like the exotic, traditional, and unique flavors, and Thirstea has them! I ordered the black sesame black milk tea boba, and it was easily in the best three boba/milk tea drinks I've ever had. SUPER flavorful, plentiful boba with perfect texture, and not too sweet which I hate. Other than the teas we also had the egg puff snack, which was a glorious fusion of a waffle and a fluffy mochi puff, wrapped into a cone shape and filled with coconut ice cream. Oh man, this is delicious...Took awhile to make it, but it was well worth the wait. Prices are higher than usual for sonoma county, but I think you really get what you pay for here, where they make everything by hand instead of mixing a syrup with ice and throwing tapioca in there. Offisite parking is plentiful and easy to access. and people at the counter are friendly and pleasant. Just a couple tables inside for customers, but there's no reason why these can't be taken to go or on a walk around the corner. I hate giving bad reviews esp to mom and pop shops but this place warrants it. Stopped by on our way back to the East Bay and got a banh mi and eggette. The banh mi was horrible, the pate didn't look/taste fresh and the pickled veggies tasted weird. The eggette was ok...edible but the texture and flavor was lacking. Solid honeydew milk tea, but a bit less flavorful and more watery than my preference. Still good. The pearls were an odd size, slightly too big for the straw, so they kept getting jammed inside it, and the tea would come out in spurts. The banh mi was good but not great. A little dry and short on flavor, but still enjoyable. I'm from the Bay area and have tried many boba shops. I always go with the black milk tea, but 99% of boba shops basically just make super sweet milk with a light tea flavoring and I really don't like it. You can tell by the color its basically white with a light brown tinge. GongCha, DingTea I'm looking at you. ThirsTea though... You can actually see the dark brown color! And it has a strong black tea taste. It's really good, and man do I appreciate it. Boba has a nice chew to it too. I go every time I'm in town. So a friend & I were driving by and he pretty much broke his neck to look back cause he spotted a bolba place. It was my first time and I liked the vibe and how nice the 2 women working there. The woman in front was very friendly and talkative which I liked cause it makes the guest feel like a friend/family. I got a bolba with taro milktea with infused jasmine & bolba. Was delicious and smooth taste. He also got a dessert but forgot the name of it but looked like a waffle with little circle coin size donuts. Tasty but couldn't eat the Nutella it came with cause I'm allergic to treenuts. I would recommend it to anyone who supports small businesses. read more

I thought the space itself would be bigger, photos I've seen are a bit deceiving. Regardless of size I would highly recommend coming you might want to consider eating in the outside seating as this place can get pretty busy. Busy because its soo popular! The decor meets my aesthetic. The music playlist playing was really great. Thinking about stepping my decor up at my place, felt inspired! From what I was told fairly new and definitely much needed addition to the North Bay! The women working were really nice and super helpful. Many options on the menu I felt happily overwhelmed. I decided to treat myself and get the Egg Puffs with Mango ice cream. Did not wait to long for my order. Hands down straight up perfection. Super instaworthy, a foodie lovers dreams was handed to me! Review #187 - 2018 After we picked up our drinks at T4 in Santa Rosa, I was so disappointed, that I ended up stopping at this place because it's only a few blocks away from my sister's place. My brother mentioned that my brother-in-law told him that they ordered some drinks from here before, twice, and were disappointed on both occasions so he forewarned me to set my expectations correctly. I told him it couldn't be any worse than what I already had so I'll keep his warning in mind. I ordered a small sweetened iced green tea just to be safe. I didn't want to pay for a large and end up tossing it. Luckily, the drink was made to my liking so I kind of wished that I had ordered a large. I also ordered a pandan waffle with nutella, and it was made within five minutes while I waited. The waffle was actually nice and chewy with bits of coconut shreds in every bite, which my brother agreed that I made a good decision in ordering from them even after my brother-in-law complained. Favorite boba spot in RP I've been going to boba since before it was a thing around here in Sonoma County, Quickly boba runs in Berkeley starting in 2006! The rp quickly just isn't the same, I prefer the quickly in Santa Rosa. ThirsTea is just around the corner from my house and typically doesn't have long lines. I like to think I understand and have a standard for good boba, it can't be soggy and it has to be cooked thoroughly to have that perfect bouncy chewy texture that makes it so comforting. It's such a nice alternative to dessert, after eating some nice refreshing Japanese food, a little boba for dessert and a pandan waffle is just what we needed. I usually get a hot boba, every once in a while iced, thirstea's roasted oolong tea is my favorite, not overly sweet and has a nice savory roasted flavor. We also ordered the lychee guava shaved ice boba, so fruity and fragrant. Service is great too, always nice girls in there. Overall, great value service and quality! read more

Hungry for lunch ( last time we came during business hours but, even with lit OPEN sign, it was closed ) in to order, deciding not to drive to the fave Banh Mi on Santa Rosa Ave. my daughter ordered two pork banh mi, asking what the differences were. the cashier said that one was pork and the other roasted pork. turns out one was Char Shu pork . after her order was taken, the cashier stepped toward the back where presumably food is prepared and put the order in front of the chef. i waited about 3to 4 minutes before she said, "do you want to order something?" . i said yes please so she took my order. i asked my daughter, waiting outside the small shop, to bring my order when she got hers. She was annoyed when she thanked the cashier ( who was tipped) who responded, "yep!" without even looking up. i took my sandwich home. could have bought a Chinese chicken salad sandwich anywhere , that is what this tried to be, but no flavor, no jalapeno, etc. not even mayo. had to add my own. and my own peppers and hot sauce. anticipated the lovely light fluffy crispy roll used everywhere else- at Thuan Fat (and flavor for a few dollars less!), or Kettles- great service, ambience, quality for $3 more, etc. Better sourdough sandwiches at Safeway.. read more

Just a quick disclaimer before I start the review -- I'm a little spoiled from drinking at some of the best boba shops down in LA and San Francisco so when it comes to boba, my standards can get pretty high. Seeing as there aren't that many boba shops up in Sonoma County though, Thirstea is definitely one of the better spots, and my current go-to when I'm visiting my girlfriend. I am a sucker for oolong teas, so when I found out these guys served oolong I knew that was the first thing I was going to order. Sadly, I was a little disappointed with their roasted oolong milk tea, since it tasted more like regular milk tea than oolong. I also ordered their matcha milk tea and that one also tasted more like regular milk tea than anything. Boba pearls were decent. However, the two drinks that I did like were my girlfriend's passion fruit iced tea and their lemon iced tea. They make their iced teas well, and both these teas were very tart, sweet and slightly sour just the way I like it. We also ordered their pandan waffle with nutella out of curiosity. I couldn't taste much of the pandan, but it had a very slight coconut flavor. It tasted pretty good though! -- because anything with Nutella in it tastes freakin bomb. ---- The Verdict: Thirstea doesn't have the best quality milk teas and is a little pricey for what it's worth, but they make pretty good iced teas! They're also one of the only decent boba options around Sonoma county so I would definitely recommend this place if you have nowhere else to go. read more

Only reason I gave them 4 starts was the young girl making the drinks and food looked miserable definitely need to work on her customer service attitude.
