This sits right across the street from Progressive stadium. There's a bar outside and one inside. It was very busy, but we were able to find a small spot outside. The staff was nice. Due to the location of the place, prices are high, but cheaper than on the stadium.

A historic watering hole by the Jake. Any visit for a baseball game isn't complete without a few beers here before / after a game. Lots of room to hang out with a nice patio with views of the stadium.

We stop by the thirsty parrot after leaving an Indians game to kill some time before leaving downtown. It looks like an average bar with a great outdoor patio. The day we went it was extremely hot outside and I don't think they had any air on. Though all the windows were up. The drinks were good and pretty cheap- which is a major win in my book! I don't believe they serve any food- which was a bummer but there is a bbq place right next door if you do get hungry. I think this place is a great option to hangout before/during/after an Indians game because it is right across the street from the stadium. I will be back for sure in the near future.

A staple for all Indians games. Before, during or after all summer long. They usually have ticket give aways for Friday night games but criteria changes how to win then. Food is solid bar food. Tall boy cans are half the price here instead of inside the stadium so drink 'em fast. No Bud products. Only PBR, Miller Lite & Labatt in cans. Overall one of the better places to go in the summer in Cleveland before Indians games. See you on opening day 2014

Not a bad place to hang out. My first time here was your typical first time at a bar before a baseball game. We didn't wait longer than a minute or two for drinks even though they were packed. So that was really nice. We ordered the pretzel and the house made chips, both were good bar food. Great patio and great atmosphere!

Great outdoor bar and a dj. It's right next to Progressive Field and the Q so it's a great place to hang before game time.

Thanks to generous friends, I've had quite a few canned beers from Masthead Brewing over the years…read moreand really enjoyed the quality and fun consistent labels with changing color patterns. Because of this, we made an effort visit and were glad we did. The pizza is some of the best I've had in years, so that's a must if you're visit. I just love the story; this brewery is downtown in a huge building that looks almost too big for what's inside. It's an old newspaper building, hence Masthead. But even more fun, the original name of the city was "Cleaveland" but it couldn't fit on the newspaper masthead, so they simply shortened it to "Cleveland" and here we are today. The brewery name is in reference to these stories. They have a ton of seating, and a well planned ordering area as you enter. They have high tops, bar seating, and huge long tables for large groups or to share. They also have a great outdoor seating and standing area along the city streets lined with trees. The bartenders were all super friendly and efficient with all the customers constantly coming up. I got a great flight of styles, I wish I had the time to have had more; next time. Our table ordered a bunch of different pizzas to try; I loved the crispy yet soft crusts, cheeses, oils, and fresh ingredients on tap. Prices on everything is reasonable for the quality. This was definitely a favorite stop of the day, and a must-visit if you're on a beer tour of the area.

They have an excellent beer selection, great food, and an overall fun, welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back year after year. My only criticism is that staff are very proactive about clearing tables. On more than one occasion, someone has taken items without asking first, including a drink I was still planning to finish. I appreciate the effort to keep the dining area clean, but a quick "Are you finished with this?" would go a long way and make the experience even better.
